Democrats Say Thanksgiving is About Being Grateful For Illegal Aliens: ‘For Picking and Packing the Food’ and ‘Cleaning the Hotel Rooms’

While most Americans are simply grateful for the freedom and prosperity they enjoy, some Democrats are insisting that Thanksgiving is also about being grateful to illegal aliens.

As the country celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday, various Democratic lawmakers posted messages urging people to be grateful for the “undocumented immigrants” who helped put their meal on the table.

Among them was Barack Obama’s former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Julian Castro, who specifically called on Trump supporters to show their gratitude to migrant workers.

“Everyone at the dinner table today, especially MAGA, please give thanks to the undocumented immigrants that picked and packed the food you’re enjoying,” he wrote on the X platform. “They deserve our grace. Happy Thanksgiving!”

California Rep. Robert Garcia echoed this sentiment, but also chose to bring attention to their work cleaning hotel rooms.

“This Thanksgiving, please remember that many of the people picking our food, working in our favorite restaurants, and cleaning our hotel rooms are undocumented immigrants.”

Also chiming in with a similar message was the New Mexico Senator Ben Ray Luján, who also praised the worker of migrant workers.

“Join me in taking a moment to appreciate the hands that harvested the food on our Thanksgiving tables this year,” he said in a statement.

“Our meals wouldn’t be possible without the tireless work of migrant farmworkers, farmers, and ranchers across the country. Thanksgiving doesn’t happen without them.”

While it is true that many illegal immigrants do work jobs that help keep the country running, their doing so has only undercut the wages of ordinary American workers and consequently force them out of the industries they used to work in.

Despite their mostly generic statements, it is probably safe to assume most Democrats did not feel huge amounts of gratitude this Thanksgiving.

With Donald Trump returning to the White House on an unprecedented mandate, their political agenda will suffer major setbacks. Which means for most Americans, there is a lot to be grateful for.
