Michael Shellenberger, Alex Gutentag and Matt Taibbi produced a blockbuster report on November 28 on the Censorship Industrial Complex.
The Gateway Pundit reported on the story earlier.
I neglected to cover at the time. My bad. The report exposes a genuine conspiracy — i.e., the Censorship Industrial Complex aka CIC. It is not a theory. It is a fact. This blog posting carries the title of their piece. Here is the introductory paragraph:
A whistleblower has come forward with an explosive new trove of documents, rivaling or exceeding the Twiter Files and Facebook Files in scale and importance. They describe the actvities of an “anti-disinformation” group called the Cyber Threat Intelligence League, or CTIL, that officially began as the volunteer project of data scientists and defense and intelligence veterans but whose tactics over time appear to have been absorbed into multiple official projects, including those of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The CTI League documents offer the missing link answers to key questions not addressed in the Twiter Files and Facebook Files. Combined, they offer a comprehensive picture of the birth of the “anti-disinformation” sector, or what we have called the Censorship Industrial Complex.
There is an active partnership between the U.S. Government’s security and intelligence agencies and the private sector that is engaged in information warfare against the American people. Michael Shellenberger provided a succinct explanation of this conspiracy in his written testimony to the U.S. Congress (you can read it at his new substack site, PUBLIC).
A highly-organized network of U.S. government agencies and government contractors has been creating blacklists and pressuring social media companies to censor Americans, often without them knowing it.
We and others have already reported on some of the actions of this complex, including its disinformation campaigns. But the extent of its censorship was unknown to us until very recently. And, as importantly, we now understand the ways in which this complex simultaneously spreads disinformation and demands censorship.
The CIC is the mechanism that this combination of private and public entities are using to fabricate lies about a whole host of issues, such as the war in Ukraine, Donald Trump inciting an insurrection and Israel fighting terrorists who behead babies.
As you celebrate the New Year please take some time to read the article (click here).

One of the most infamous WWE villains of yore has suddenly passed away in his home country of Japan.
According to an English translation of Hochi Sports, Masashi Ozawa — better known stateside by his ring moniker of “Killer Khan” — lost consciousness at a restaurant in Tokyo before being rushed to a hospital on Friday.
Ozawa died of a ruptured artery. He was 76 years old.
When Ozawa came out West to ply his trade after a successful early career in Japan, he took on the identity of a Mongolian “assassin.”
In 1980, he made his debut in the WWE (then known as the World Wrestling Federation) as “Killer Khan” and was swiftly thrust into a high-profile feud with one of the company’s biggest — literally — stars, Andre the Giant.
Pro wrestling fans, who largely still believed the sport was real and not scripted, witnessed Khan “break” Andre’s ankle.
As explained by pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, that was a much-needed ruse to write Andre off for a bit because he had legitimately broken his ankle — in a freak accident, not in the ring.
Very sorry to hear about the death of Killer Khan due to a ruptured artery. Will have a major story on him this week. Best known for breaking Andre’s ankle (which was a storyline cover for a real injury) leading to one of the biggest feuds of Andre’s career. Had some of the…

Andre and Khan clashed in an infamous “Mongolian stretcher match” in 1981, which was lauded at the time as a violent spectacle.
From there, Khan would move on to feud with then-WWE champion and face of the company Hulk Hogan.
Eventually, the legendary “heel” (villain in industry parlance) returned to Japan for another run with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Khan’s unique style of wrestling is emulated by a number of professional wrestlers today.
Ozawa retired from pro wrestling in 1987 and opened several bars and restaurants in Tokyo, according to NJPW.
Hochi Sports reported that he is survived by “an American wife and child, but they have been living separately for a long time.”

A recent Gateway Pundit report by investigator Brian Lupo is making the rounds on social media this weekend.
There is currently no evidence that there was ever a voting machine election audit performed in Georgia following the 2020 election.
On November 17, 2020, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger made an announcement that an audit “using forensic techniques” was completed with “no sign of foul play” in the 2020 election. The statement previously appeared on the Secretary of State’s webpage and is still available via the Wayback Machine here.
Investigative journalist Kevin Moncla of the Election Oversight Group, and another individual began to send Open Records Requests from the counties that were allegedly “audited” back in 2022. While Raffensperger’s statement says there were six counties “audited,” the Pro V&V memo only listed four: Floyd County (Rome, GA), Douglas County (Douglasville, GA), Paulding County (Dallas, GA), and Cobb County (Marietta, GA). The record requests asked for communications between the Secretary of State, the State Board of Elections, and Pro V&V, among other things. The results were surprising.
Not one county had records affirming, or even suggesting, that Pro V&V did an audit of their equipment.
This weekend the story is going viral on Vigilant News Network and Vigilant Fox.

Grassroots conservative activist Scott Presler with Noah Formica door knocking for GOP registrations in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
earlier this month the Republican Party under the absent leadership of Ronna McDaniel announced they had “flipped” Beaver County Pennsylvania from blue to red.
The GOP announced, “Big news! Beaver County, PA has officially flipped from blue to red. There are now more registered Republicans than Democrats! Together with @PAGOP our data-driven ground game has been in Pennsylvania registering voters since 2016 and has never left! On to November!
In response to this tweet by the GOP, DC Draino accused Ronna McRomney and the Republican Party of stealing credit for Scott Presler’s voter registration efforts in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

The Gateway Pundit reached out to conservative activist Scott Presler following this news. We asked Scott about his work in Beaver County and neighboring Butler County, Pennsylvania.
Scott Presler has been working in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, since last year. Scott told us at the beginning of 2023, the Republican Party was down 1,777 voters to the Beaver County Democrats. Today, after several months of voter drives and door knocking and county events, Scott Presler and Beaver County GOP Chair Roman Kozak, and several volunteers were able to flip the county from blue to red.
Scott told TGP that the Republican Party is trying to take credit for the months of work and planning by Scott, Roman and their volunteers. Scott Presler had this to say about the national Republican Party, “They want to take credit so they can use it to fundraise. The local leaders did this.”
Of course, this bothers Scott because he has all of the people and volunteers and accomplishes so much without any resources. The Republican Party is not funding Scott Presler and it is clear that they should be.
On Saturday Scott Presler announced that he was given permission to register voters at several gun shows in 2024.
This is very big news for Republicans!
I HAVE GREAT NEWS
Met w/ the Showmasters Gun Shows owner
& she’s going to allow us to do voter registration at EVERY show
Showmasters operates in MD, VA, PA, & WV. (There will be 6 gun shows in Pennsylvania next year & I’ll try to be at every single one.)
My heart sings.

Isn’t it about time the GOP or a wealthy Republican to think about funding Scott and his work?

U.S. Central Command announced Saturday that Houthis in Yemen fired two ballistic missiles “toward” two U.S. warships in the Red Sea while they aiding a merchant ship that had been previously struck by a Houthi missile. One of the U.S. ships, the USS Gravely, shot down the two ballistic missiles. There was no report that the ships retaliated.
The Biden administration recently announced a new coalition to protect shipping in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks called Operation Prosperity Guardian, however the coalition is having issues, Reuters reported this week (excerpt):
Two of America’s European allies who were listed as contributors to Operation Prosperity Guardian — Italy and Spain — issued statements appearing to distance themselves from the maritime force.
The Pentagon says the force is a defensive coalition of more than 20 nations to ensure billions of dollars’ worth of commerce can flow freely through a vital shipping chokepoint in Red Sea waters off Yemen.
But nearly half of those countries have so far not come forward to acknowledge their contributions or allowed the US to do so. Those contributions can range from dispatching warships to merely sending a staff officer.
…The Red Sea is the entry point for ships using the Suez Canal, which handles about 12 percent of worldwide trade and is vital for the movement of goods between Asia and Europe. Houthi attacks have seen some ships rerouted around Africa’s Cape of Good Hope, substantially increasing sailing time and costs.

CENTCOM statement:
USS GRAVELY shoots down two anti-ship ballistic missiles while responding to Houthi attack on merchant vessel.
Today at approximately 8:30 p.m. (Sanaa time), the container ship MAERSK HANGZHOU reported that they were struck by a missile while transiting the Southern Red Sea. The Singapore-flagged, Denmark-owned/operated container ship requested assistance, and the USS GRAVELY (DDG 107) and USS LABOON (DDG 58) have responded to the ship. The vessel is reportedly seaworthy and there are no reported injuries.
While responding, the USS GRAVELY shot down two anti-ship ballistic missiles fired from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen toward the ships.
This is the 23rd illegal attack by the Houthis on international shipping since Nov. 19.

So far the Biden administration has not attacked any Houthi base for firing on ships in the Red Sea over the past three months.
