A reporter actually asked Karine Jean-Pierre a touch question during the White House press briefing on Wednesday.
Phillip Wegmann of Real Clear News asked KJP if Biden is planning to drink the water in East Palestine, Ohio when he finally visits there in February. The question left KJP stammering for a moment before she launched into a typical word-salad answer.
People in East Palestine made viral videos of what appeared to be chemicals in the water after the disaster, despite officials declaring that the water was safe.

PHIL WEGMANN, REALCLEARPOLITICS: Has the White Houe coordinated or discussed with DOJ any type of damage settlement or compensation for folks there who were affected by the derailment?
KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: I don’t have any specifics there, I would have to refer you to the Department of Justice on that piece. Obviously, we want to make sure that Norfolk [Southern] is held to account, we’re going to make sure that happens. We are determined to get that done. I think you’ve heard that from the Department of Transportation and Secretary Buttigieg, you’ve heard that from us many times, we want to make sure that they pay for the derailment that they caused. Obviously, that is a priority.
WEGMANN: And then next month, when the president is in East Palestine, will he drink the water there?
JEAN-PIERRE: I mean, look, what I can tell you is the president’s focus has been to do everything he can to support this community from day one. We get what’s going on on the ground, we understand what’s going on, that’s why we had the EPA and DOT and HHS and FEMA on the ground, you know, this is not about some sort of political stunt here. This is not about this president being a president for everyone and showing up, showing up for this community. That’s what this is about.
I’m not going to get into some sort of political stunts about drinking water. We’re going to focus on making sure they have what they need. The president was invited by the mayor nd community leaders, he’s going to show up. He always said he’d be there when it was most helpful.

The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday said the White House is refusing to hand over the transcript of Joe Biden’s Ukraine speech where he called for the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin.
“The White House is REFUSING to hand over early drafts of President Biden’s 2015 Ukraine speech where he called for the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin.” the House Oversight Committee said.
“These drafts are important as it is believed, based on public reporting, that the then-VP “called an audible” and changed U.S. policy toward Ukraine to benefit his son on the plane ride to Ukraine,” the Committee said. “Joe Biden later bragged about withholding a U.S. loan guarantee if Ukraine did not fire the prosecutor.”
“For more than five months the White House has declined to authorize the production of these draft speeches to the Oversight Committee or to assert a valid privilege over them,” the letter to White House Counsel Edward Siskel said.
The House Oversight Committee said they will ‘consider the use of compulsory process’ if Biden doesn’t cooperate.

In 2015 Joe Biden made a speech to the Ukrainian Rada in Kiev in which he demanded the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin.

But I can tell you, you cannot name me a single democracy in the world where the cancer of corruption is prevalent. You cannot name me one. They are thoroughly inconsistent. And it’s not enough to set up a new anti-corruption bureau and establish a special prosecutor fighting corruption. The Office of the General Prosecutor desperately needs reform. The judiciary should be overhauled. The energy sector needs to be competitive, ruled by market principles — not sweetheart deals. It’s not enough to push through laws to increase transparency with regard to official sources of income. Senior elected officials have to remove all conflicts between their business interest and their government responsibilities. Every other democracy in the world — that system pertains,” Biden said in his 2015 speech, according to White House archives.
A few years later speaking on a panel before the Council on Foreign Relations, Joe Biden publicly bragged about bribing Ukraine with $1 billion to fire Viktor Shokin, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General who was investigating Burisma corruption.
Viktor Shokin was investigating Mykola Zlovchesky, the Ukrainian oligarch who owned Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company that was paying Hunter Biden millions of dollars in an influence peddling scheme.
Biden strong-armed Ukraine into firing Shokin to protect his son Hunter and publicly bragged about the scalp.
I “said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. He got fired,” Biden said in 2018.

Squad member Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) has accused pharmacy giant Walgreens of racial discrimination for its decision to close stores in neighborhoods with high crime rates, including locations in her district, Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District.
During a speech on the House floor, Rep. Pressley condemned the pharmacy giant for its decision to shut down a store on Warren Street in Roxbury, an area she noted is “85% Black and Latino.”
She cited this move as part of a worrying pattern of withdrawal from low-income communities. The radical congresswoman condemned the impact of such closures on residents who rely on the pharmacies for essential items, including medications and health supplies.
“When a Walgreens leaves a neighborhood, they disrupt the entire community, and they take with them baby formula, diapers, asthma inhalers, life-saving medications, and of course, jobs. These closures are not arbitrary, and they are not innocent. They are life-threatening acts of racial and economic discrimination,” she claimed.
Rep. Pressley, alongside Senators Elizabeth Warren (D) and Ed Markey (D), has called for a detailed explanation from the CEO of Walgreens.
“Why was there no community input, no adequate notice to customers, and no transition resources to prevent gaps in health care? Shame on you Walgreens. Having a website with talking points about health equity and underserved communities is not enough. Walgreens is a multi-billion dollar corporation that needs to put their money where their mouth is and stop divesting from black and brown communities.”

In 2020, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) named Massachusetts as the most violent state in New England.
Goal.org wrote, “As adjusted for population, Massachusetts takes the New England violence honors with a rate of 308.8 per hundred thousand. This is nearly triple the violent crime rate of Maine (108) and more than double the rate in New Hampshire (146.4). It is noteworthy that the three least violent states in New England are Constitutional Carry states that actually encourage responsible citizens to exercise their Second Amendment civil rights.
The outlet added, “This is no surprise and certainly is in keeping of the Commonwealth as being one of the most violent states in Northeast America,” said Jim Wallace Executive Director of GOAL. “In 2018 we released the Massachusetts Gun Control Success – A False and Dangerous Narrative report that proved beyond any doubt that the laws and policies of the Commonwealth were an abject failure. Nobody listened and not one major media outlet would cover the story. So, the leadership of the State have no one to blame but themselves!””
American cities are going to become retail deserts eventually, and it’s all because of Democrat policies and weak leaders who won’t prosecute crime.
The CVS pharmacy chain has announced that it will close 900 stores by the end of 2024, citing shoplifting as a major issue.
This news comes at the same time that Target has announced the closure of nine stores for similar reasons.
One CVS drug store in Washington, D.C. has taken much of its stock off the shelves and is using the space to display photos of what customers used to be able to grab for themselves.
Conservative commentator Joey Mannarino posted to X photos he claimed were from a CVS store on H Street in Washington, D.C.
“This is from the CVS on H Street in Washington DC. Due to the out-of-control theft, they have now put away almost all their items and just have photographs of what is in stock. You press the button and the sales associate gets you what you need,” he posted.
Stores in San Francisco are now securing their freezers and bathrooms with chains to prevent shoplifting, with one store experiencing up to 20 robberies in a single day.

The Governor of Massachusetts, Democrat Maura Healey, has decided to convert a vital recreation center in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood into a temporary shelter for illegal immigrants starting Wednesday.
It can be recalled that Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll have declared a state of emergency and asked their citizens to loan extra room in their homes to dangerous illegal immigrants.
Migrants from around the world are being smuggled into sanctuary states like Massachusetts every day by the Biden Regime.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, tens of thousands of illegal aliens have flooded New York City, a proud sanctuary city, and they were recently filmed lining up for blocks to receive free (taxpayer-funded) housing in New York City.
The Melnea A. Cass Recreational Complex, a central facility in Roxbury, was requisitioned with less than two days’ notice, leaving residents feeling disregarded and marginalized.
Healey’s action, aimed at addressing the growing number of migrants in the city, has been criticized for treating the Roxbury neighborhood ‘like garbage’ and giving illegal immigrants preferential treatment.
Boston has been grappling with the presence of illegal immigrants, many of whom have resorted to sleeping rough at Logan International Airport. Estimates suggest that about 100-200 people are currently sheltered at the airport. Massachusetts State Police have also been deployed to provide assistance at the airport.

Governor Healey, facing backlash for the short notice and neglect of the Roxbury community, defended her decision as a necessary step amidst a challenging situation.
“This is probably the eighth or ninth major location we’ve opened around the state. We’ve been all over the state. We are now coming to Boston. It’s just borne out of necessity,” said Healey, according to Boston 25.
Governor Healey reassured that the shelter would be a short-term solution, planning to vacate the premises by the end of May while seeking further federal funding.
Last week, during a virtual meeting, Governor Healey turned emotional as she announced that she was converting Roxbury Recreation Center into a new shelter for illegal immigrants.
“I get emotional, guys, okay? Because I’m committed to this. Little kids need to be able to breathe clean air, they need to be able to access swimming pools. They need to have lifeguards there who are going to teach them how to swim, and they need to have activities. I don’t know what we’re going to do for a couple of three months. I’ll call universities. I’ll call other places.”
