Another loss for woke CNN.
CNN Philippines, one of the local franchises in Asia, is set to cease operations nearly nine years after its inception, GMA News Network reported.
CNN Philippines is a free-to-air television network in the Philippines that provides news and information. It’s the only predominantly English-language channel on free-to-air television in the Philippines. It’s also available on cable and pay television.
CNN Philippines was launched in 2015 by Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific and Nine Media Corp. It’s owned and operated by Nine Media Corporation and is licensed from Warner Bros. Discovery.
The network, which has been operating at a financial deficit, resulting in losses exceeding almost $90 million, will be making a formal announcement this coming Monday, according to an official from CNN Philippines.
The closure will impact approximately 300 employees of the network. It is understood that the decision to relinquish the CNN franchise was reached last year, with the approval of Nine Media Corp., but the implementation was postponed until post-Christmas to reduce the impact on employees during the festive season.
While the licensing agreement for the CNN brand in the Philippines is set to expire at the end of 2024, speculation has emerged about an earlier termination of broadcasts.
The airwaves are expected to fall silent soon after the much-anticipated official statement from Nine Media president Benjamin Ramos, which will be released following the general meeting on January 29. Details of the meeting’s agenda have not been made public, but it is anticipated that this will be a key discussion point.
Meanwhile, according to Forbes, CNN’s profits in 2022 were estimated to be $750 million. A report from Forbes in June 2023 states that a portion of this loss can be attributed to the decision in April 2022 to drop CNN+, a direct-to-consumer service, one month after its launch. The report also states that this decision resulted in a reported one-time loss of $200 million.

Moreover, the year-over-year ad revenue fall-off has been accelerating. In April 2023, CNN’s ad revenue numbered $80 million, compared to $153 million in April 2022, a decline of 48%. Overall, the average monthly ad revenue in the first four months of 2023 stood at $78 million, in contrast to $128 million from January to April 2022. Licht took over CNN on May 2, 2022.
The analysis also found, so far this year, a sizable drop in the number of CNN advertisers. In the first four months of 2023, MediaRadar reported CNN had a total of about 2,100 advertisers. In contrast, from January-April 2022, there had been about 2,700 CNN advertisers, a decline of 23%. Moreover, many advertisers have been reducing their ad commitment to CNN. Through April 2023, 17 companies had invested $2+ million on CNN’s ad platforms, a 75% fall-off from 68 companies the previous year.
It has been reported by multiple sources that CNN generated $1 billion in profits every year from 2016 to 2020. In 2021 it was estimated that CNN’s profits totaled $1.25 billion. Last year, CNN’s profits dipped to an estimated $750 million. Part of the loss in profits, can be attributed by WBD’s decision, in April 2022, to drop direct-to-consumer CNN+, one month after its launch. This resulted in a reported one-time loss of $200 million.
Last year, CNN’s Kate Bolduan dropped a bombshell announcement, revealing that CNN would be closing its CNN Center headquarters in Atlanta. The decision comes in the wake of declining viewership and increasing financial pressures.
“Before we go today, we are marking an important moment today in CNN’s history. Today’s show will be the final broadcast from the CNN Center in Atlanta,” said Bolduan.
While the broadcaster had already moved its weekday anchors to New York or Washington, D.C., the CNN Center in Atlanta still housed significant operations, including digital and CNN International.
“We anchor the show out of New York, but the control rooms of this show and much of our editorial staff has always been in Atlanta at that iconic building at the CNN Center, also known as CNN’s World News Headquarters,” said Bolduan.

Anson Bills, an active participant in border-related activities in Texas and a key organizer of the event shared exclusive details about the movement.
Despite facing censorship on platforms like Facebook, where the event’s announcement was removed, the convoy has garnered significant support, with estimates suggesting that over 10,000 individuals are expected to join the movement.
“I’ve gotten a lot of phone calls in the past week where people are like, “Well, I’ve never heard of this. Why isn’t this being posted everywhere?” And we are posting it everywhere,” Bills told The Gateway Pundit.
“And we investigated it, and come to find out that due to the algorithm that Facebook has, they’re not allowing it.”
“From our rough estimates of people that are wanting to join the convoy, it’s about 10,000. It’s going to be in three different cities and three different states.”
The event is drawing participants from various backgrounds, including families, friends, neighbors, and concerned citizens, united by a common goal of taking back control of the nation’s borders.
“This is about the people coming together, standing up for what they believe in. We’re seeing a groundswell of support, not just locally, but nationally, and even from our neighbors in Canada,” said Bills.
The convoy plans to travel across the United States, starting from Virginia Beach, and will host rallies in three different states, the final one being in Eagle Pass (Quemado), Texas.
The final rally locations are scheduled for February 2nd at 5 pm CST and February 3rd at 12 pm CST. These rallies are expected to draw large crowds and feature various speakers who will address issues related to border security and immigration policy.

Byram police arrested a woman after a disturbing video went viral, showing her bringing her two-year-old son into a local Walmart wearing only a diaper despite freezing weather conditions.
The incident occurred on January 17, 2024, at the Walmart in Buram, Mississippi. The outdoor temperature at the time was a frigid 20 degrees Fahrenheit, with even colder wind chills.
Eyewitnesses and shoppers were appalled to see the toddler, shivering and clad merely in a diaper, seated in a shopping trolley. Walmart employee Felicia Nicole and other customers confronted the mother, expressing their concerns for the child’s well-being.
Felicia recounted that the boy was without a shirt, socks, or shoes in the freezing weather. A fellow shopper reportedly covered the boy with a black jacket after his mother refused to clothe him. The child was visibly shivering, and his teeth chattered as concerned bystanders questioned the mother’s actions.

A viral video, captured and posted online by Felicia, shows the distressing scene where the boy is visibly shaking from the cold.
The mother began dancing provocatively when confronted by concerned shoppers.

The police responded by placing the shivering child in a warm car and summoning paramedics for a health assessment. Child Protective Services intervened, taking the boy and his two siblings into their care and releasing them to a relative.
The mother, later identified as Darby, was charged with contributing to the neglect or delinquency of a child and booked into Hinds County Detention Center. She faces up to six years in jail if convicted. She was then released on bail.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Darby compared her plight to that of Jesus, expressing heartache over what she perceives as a defamation of her character, the Daily Mail reported.
Along with 54 photos, Darby boasted about providing a luxurious life for her children, including vacations, designer clothes, and enrollment in competitive sports. She detailed trips to Disney World, meetings with characters like Mickey Mouse and Blippi, and plans for future holidays. Darby emphasized her children’s belief in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Cupid, and their participation in traditional holiday activities like pumpkin carving.

“Where do I even start? I just want to say certain things I will and will not say because this is a legal matter. I haven’t seen my kids since they were taken away from me by CPS. We go on vacations, to indoor water parks; my son takes swim lessons, soccer lessons, tumbling, basketball, etc. For holidays, I go all out; my kids believe in the Easter bunny, Cupid, and not just Santa! It’s because I go all out. Some of the pics you can see where I took time out and carved pumpkins with them for Halloween. My kids are clean, very clean. Each new pair of shoes that drops, they get them, designer clothes, etc.
My baby has never worn the same outfit twice! Me and his dad were just talking about that. ‘We’re going to have to give this stuff away, not sell it, but we’re giving it away. Someone’s going to be blessed.’ A woman dressing up as a cowgirl to match her children for Halloween does not scream neglect! (All pics are below to back up everything I’m saying.) In no way, shape, or form am I mentally ill nor a neglectful parent. We aren’t poor; I’m not a bum, neither are my children. Y’all don’t know because I don’t post my kids, and I don’t like that I have to do this! I do not like to post my children. I am very protective of my kids! This is why a lot of y’all don’t know. It’s because I leave your mind wondering. I don’t post my children, maybe 1-3 times a year.
I don’t play about my kids. I love my kids, and being away from them by force breaks my heart. If they were being neglected, my village would’ve said something! Their godparents don’t work any type of basic job at all. My oldest two are Singh’s (the corner store y’all love running into. A lot of y’all know my kids from being at the corner store with their dad). My baby boy’s son’s dad and granny are going to step behind him every time. I know we may have had our differences, but at the end of the day, no matter what, I thank them! My village isn’t going to play about my 3, and neither do I! Again, I can’t say everything; it’s a legal matter, but my kids are not a charity case, they are not neglected, and I am not mentally ill! Stop it with the defamation!”

Meanwhile, Felicia faced termination from her job for posting the videos, which is reportedly against Walmart policies. She was fired hours later.
“Yessss I got fired bc of this video.. No I wasn’t thinking about the consequences when I posted the video.. I was concerned about the baby thats all and I pray that child somewhere safe now!!!” Felicia wrote on her Facebook account.
In another post, Felicia wrote, “To the messy people at Walmart Supercenter, Byram – Handley Blvd!!!! Yes, I’m fired!!! I’m fired because of the video. You can say whatever you want about me. At that time, I was thinking about that poor baby!!!!! But you know what? Bills still got to get paid. I got a refrigerator full of food, and I’m not broke. So Fee’s doing good. I’m gonna sit back and enjoy these days at home until I decide to go back to work, bookie butts. So, when someone brings my name up, tell them I’m doing good. Y’all must have forgotten, I’m a go-getter. It’s only up from here. Now y’all take care.”

The entire story lacks credulity and is like something from a Law and Order sketch.
Today, the crooked court ordered President Trump to pay E. Jean Carroll $83 million for something he said about this crazy woman back when he was president in 2019. Free speech is no longer allowed in this country, especially for Republican lawmakers, Trump supporters, and conservative journalists.
This case also changes law in the US and puts any President in jeopardy of being sued by a US citizen for something they said during their time as president.

Following this kangaroo court sentencing where President Trump was not able to speak freely and was not able to defend himself against the completely ridiculous story, Nikki Haley decided it was a good time to attack President Trump.

On Friday Rudy explained to Rob Schmitt why this case should have been tossed from the courtroom before it ever started.
Rob Schmitt: Former New York mayor and U. S. Attorney Rudy Giuliani joins us tonight with his perspective on this. What has happened to our legal system, sir?
Rudy Giuliani: Yeah, it’s gone to hell. That’s what’s happened. I mean, we have an embarrassing situation in the United States in which we’re a country without laws. We don’t follow the laws that we have. First of all, it’s patently absurd that this even happened. I’ve been going to Bergdorf for 30 years, and when I was us attorney, I wasn’t all that well known. But the minute I walked into Bergdorf, about ten people had come around me to help me. This man was one of the most famous people in New York at the time this happened. This would be like doing this in the middle of Madison Square Garden. It’s totally ridiculous.
Second thing that’s ridiculous is I don’t know why this case isn’t thrown out. You’re supposed to plead a tort, which is what this is. Right, with specificity. Specificity means to give you enough information as a defendant so you can defend yourself. When you can’t give me a day and time, how the hell can I defend myself? Now, why doesn’t she do that? She doesn’t do it because trump travels a lot, and she just might pick a day because she’s lying her backside off. She might pick a day in which he was in Scotland or a day in which he was in Mar a Lago, or a day in which the way they did to Michael Cohen, when they said he was in poland meeting with the Russians and he was in California…
…This judge is a pure disgrace. He’s telling a lawyer what questions to ask. That’s totally ridiculous. He won’t let him defend himself. And how is it inconsistent? Let’s say, first of all, he was found not guilty or not liable for rape. It was sexual assault, not rape. And second, you can be guilty of rape, and still a person can be a whack up. That wasn’t defamation. You’re allowed to still defend yourself against defamation.
Democrats are destroying the legal system in America today. This will be the end of America as we know it if this is allowed to continue.
