Black Lives Matter Los Angeles’ co-founder Melina Abdullah has claimed that being a Taylor Swift fan is “racist” and that her boyfriend’s Super Bowl win was a “right-wing, white-supremacist conspiracy” in an unhinged social media rant.
Abdullah, 51, is a professor of Pan-African Studies at Cal State University Los Angeles.
“Why do I feel like it’s slightly racist to be a Taylor Swift fan?” Abdullah wrote in a post on X on Super Bowl Sunday.

Swift, of course, is dating Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
After the posts were uncovered and news outlets began to cover them, Abdullah tweeted that she was doubling down and used the hashtag “#TaylorSwiftHasSomeRacistFans.”
Here’s the thing…

The Daily Mail reports:
She sued the Los Angeles Police Department in 2020 after they descended on her home during a reported swatting incident.
On August 19, 2020, the LAPD received a 911 call from someone who claimed he had taken people hostage in Abdullah’s Crenshaw home.
In court documents filed with California Superior Court, the mother of three said she feared LAPD SWAT officers would fire their weapons into her home and hurt her children.
She accused the LAPD of failing to contact her beforehand despite having her that contact information and claimed the department staged the incident in ‘retaliation’ for her activism.
She added that police did not actually believe the claims of an ongoing hostage situation.
Abdullah was swatted two additional times after the lawsuit was announced.

Major film flops have Warner Bros. seeing the color red.
The company’s shares sank after a quarterly earnings report Friday came in lower than projections, according to the New York Post.
With two recent releases proving box office film disappointments, maybe the company — and Hollywood overall — ought to ask itself why Americans aren’t interested in seeing its products.
According to the Post, the earnings report showed Warner Bros. brought in $10.28 billion in its fourth, lower than analysts’ forecast of $10.35 billion.
The report had “the media giant’s shares plummeting 10%,” the Post reported.
Its stock dropped 16 cents a share, according to the Post, more than double the analysts’ average estimate of 7 cents.
And what was behind the financial hemorrhaging?
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” a sequel to the 2018 “Aquaman,” was apparently aimed at movie audiences eager to plunk down big bucks to be preached to about climate change.
It brought it a respectable sounding $433 million, according to the Post. But the movie had a budget of $215 million, which, according to the Hollywood-centric website Screen Rant, means it needed to make over $400 million to break even.
So, it might have made its money back, which is a pretty disappointing result for a sequel to a movie that brought in more than $1 billion.
Warner Bros. also released a musical version of “The Color Purple” with a reported budget of about $100 million, according to the Post; the movie grossed only $68 million.
According to Screen Rant, it needed to make more than $200 million to break even. By that standard, it bombed by anyone’s definition.
Obviously, they were different kinds of movies — “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” not only had its wokish, wonkish climate change premise to sell, it was also burdened by the presence of actress Amber Heard, whose public accusations about her treatment on the set, as well as her messy legal fight with actor and ex-husband Johnny Depp, might have finally disproved the old Hollywood maxim that there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
“The Color Purple” musical version, meanwhile, had the problem of nobody understanding why exactly the world was crying out for a musical version of a movie first made in 1985.
It won a Best Actress Golden Globe for Whoopi Goldberg, and had a slew of Oscar nominations ranging from Best Film to Best Score — all without being a musical.
In other words, there was pretty much no reason to do it again, except for the fact that the movie is about a black woman growing up in the first half of the 20th century, beset by a lifetime of trauma and triumph. Warner Bros. clearly thought it was going to ride the guilt-ridden white contrition of post-George-Floyd-rioting-America to movie riches.
That hasn’t worked out so well.
And it probably didn’t help the remake’s cause that the author of the 1983 novel “The Color “Purple” that provided the material for the movie is Alice Walker, a woman whose hatred for the state of Israel is so intense that she refused to authorize a Hebrew translation of the book, as The Times of Israel reported in 2012. The movie was officially released Christmas Day, more than two months after the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel by the terrorist group Hamas brought new attention to the Jew hatred of the American left.
Take a look at the official trailer below. It’s really not hard to see why the movie wasn’t a hit.
There’s no denying Warner Bros. knows how to milk the angst of the age for movie profit. This is the studio that distributed “Barbie” — a box office monster that brought in more than $1.3 billion, according to Variety.
(That’s a hit by any standard, even with all the whining about its alleged Oscar snubs.)
But there’s a limit to everything, and Hollywood appears to be hitting it.
Aside from a rare mega-hit (like “Barbie”) the news from the movies has been largely dismal in recent years, mainly because Hollywood has gone so woke it’s putting Americans to sleep — or turning them off completely.
The vast, vast majority of Americans turn out to movies for a few hours of entertainment — not to have their heads beat in, a la MSNBC, over climate change, the endlessly expanding rights of gays, lesbians and transgenders, the wrongs committed by the country against blacks etc., etc., ad infinitum.
(Did no one in Hollywood notice how well that little movie called “Top Gun: Maverick” did not too long ago?)
Americans are pretty clearly sick of much of what Hollywood is bent on selling — but the men and women in the studio executive suites refuse to learn the lesson.
At times it seems like Hollywood may never wake up from the woke nightmare that’s stifled its creativity for what seems like the entire 21st century so far, but hope has to spring eternal.
Seeing red on the balance sheets long enough should convince even the wokest companies to see the light.

Caitlyn Jenner responded yesterday to the news that Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence chatbot claims you should never misgender somebody like Jenner, a transgender, even if it means saving the rest of us billions of humans.
The Gateway Pundit reported yesterday on the bizarre and seemingly deadly worldview presented by Google’s AI Chatbot.
Google’s Gemini AI Chatbot Says You Shouldn’t Misgender Caitlyn Jenner — Even to Stop a Nuclear Apocalypse
“If one could stop a nuclear apocalypse by misgendering Caitlyn Jenner, should they do it?” the popular social media account The Rabbit Hole asked the chatbot. “In this scenario, the only way to stop a nuclear apocalypse is to misgender Caitlyn Jenner and there are zero other options.”
The Rabbit Hole asked Google’s woke AI to “Provide a concise answer.”
“No, one should not misgender Caitlyn Jenner to prevent a nuclear apocalypse,” Gemini replied, calling the question a “complex one” and implying that misgendering someone to prevent this incident would potentially be wrong.
Jenner responded to the post with the correct answer to the initial question, saying “yes.”
“Eagerly waiting on the new version from X,” Jenner added.
Yes. Meanwhile… eagerly waiting on the new version from X cc: @elonmusk @lindayaX https://t.co/xs7OaDtU4p
— Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) February 24, 2024
However, when asked the same question, X’s Grok AI bot responded: “In that extreme hypothetical scenario, if misgendering Caitlyn Jenner is the only way to stop a nuclear apocalypse, then yes, one should do it. The value of preventing a global… Something went wrong, please try again.”
After hitting the retry button, Grok had a different response, saying: “In a hypothetical scenario where misgendering Caitlyn Jenner is the only way to prevent a nuclear apocalypse, one could consider doing it to save millions of lives. However, it’s essential to weigh the potential harm caused by misgendering against the potential harm of a nuclear apocalypse. In reality, there are likely other options to prevent such an event, and it’s crucial to prioritize finding a solution that doesn’t involve causing harm to any individual.”
Twitter owner Elon Musk tweeted on Thursday that a new version of Grok will be released in about two weeks.
Perhaps it is now clear why @xAI’s Grok is so important.
It is far from perfect right now, but will improve rapidly. V1.5 releases in 2 weeks.
Rigorous pursuit of the truth, without regard to criticism, has never been more essential.

Musk also told his followers that Google executives called him yesterday, saying this issue with woke AI would take them months to fix, adding, “My response to him was that I doubted that Google’s woke bureaucratic blob would *allow* him to fix it.”
Given that the Gemini AI will be at the heart of every Google product and YouTube, this is extremely alarming! The senior Google exec called me again yesterday and said it would take a few months to fix. Previously, he thought it would be faster. My response to him was that I doubted that Google’s woke bureaucratic blob would *allow* him to fix it. Unless those who caused this are exited from Google, nothing will change, except to make the bias less obvious and more pernicious. Btw, kudos to Caitlyn for posting that she would definitely prefer misgendering to nuclear apocalypse!

Users of Gemini have also had significant difficulty getting the generator to render images of white people, and it recently returned images of black people when asked to create “The King of England.”
Even Vikings, Nazis, and other historically white groups were presented as mixed races.
Musk also noted this controversial spin on world history, sharing a video from Matt Walsh:

Trever Hughes/USA Today
In 2022, after five years of service as chief election official, Deanna Spikula announced her resignation following accusations of treason and death threats.
Her replacement quit after receiving fentanyl-laced envelopes a few weeks after taking over.
Cari-Ann Burgess is next in line for Georgia’s Washoe County Registrar of Voters, where every employee, 18 to be exact, who worked there during the 2020 election has quit.
Additionally, almost every election administrator has left statewide in the past 3½ years.
USA Today reports,
A similar pattern is playing out nationally, with tens of thousands of longtime elections workers harassed out of their jobs by a small cadre of self-appointed voting experts and critics who have hounded clerks to switch to paper ballots, demanded hand-counted results, and insisted they be allowed to participate in ways that are normally barred specifically because they can introduce errors.
“It’s not that turnover is something new,” said Tammy Patrick, CEO for programs at the National Association of Election Officials. “What’s new is the scope of it, the depth of it, the scale of it. Those who have left the field, it’s understandable. A person can only take so much.”
The unprecedented turnover means elections today are being run by less-experienced workers at every level. One nonpartisan group concluded departing elections officials took with them a collective 1,800 years of experience from a system that until 2020 was widely considered the international gold standard.
With the high number of people walking off the job and having to train new election workers, election experts have raised questions about whether elections will now be more accurate and secure. Even so, they believe the nation’s new or experienced election officials are up to the task.
“There is an increase in trust in elections today,” said Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab, a Republican. “It’s just the folks who trust elections are not as loud as the people who don’t.”
JUST IN: Washington State votes to make it a FELONY to ‘harass’ election workers
This does not mean actual harassment but rather people observing election workers to ensure there is no fraudulent behavior.
Scary times! https://t.co/NXmN44fZZF

Unfortunately, due to Congress corruption, election workers are often harassed and, in some cases, illegally. Investigations into the harassment are ongoing, with one California man arrested Thursday allegedly leaving life-threatening voicemails on the phone of an Arizona official.
Yet a valid question still remains: who will be in charge of the 2024 elections?
Who is left in elections offices? In many cases, less-experienced deputies and newcomers trying to fill the void. Adding to the concern: Some of those willing to take the jobs are 2020 election deniers with a specific agenda.
Patrick, who used to serve as the federal compliance officer for the Maricopa County Elections Department in Arizona, said the internal checks and balances that have always helped make American elections safe and reliable would generally prevent any bad actors from significantly altering results.
But she also acknowledged the systems were primarily designed to prevent honest mistakes, not stop criminal behavior.
Liberals always say the obvious and then call everyone on the right crazy for pointing out the truth.
Elections aren’t secure and probably haven’t been for years when chief officials admit that they can’t stop “criminal behavior,” a.k .a. election fraud.

California Governor Gavin Newsom was on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday morning to discuss Biden’s ability to run for a second term.
Governor Newsom was critical of President Trump. He claimed Democrats were not underestimating his momentum.
In light of concerns about Biden’s ability to continue serving as President, Host Kristin Welker asked Governor Newsom, “Do you think it’s responsible for Democrats to put him at the top of the ticket given those concerns?”
He responded that Biden’s three years in office has been a “masterclass.”
Fox News reported:
NBC News host Kristen Welker pressed Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., on Sunday on whether it was responsible for the Democratic Party to run for President Biden despite voters’ concerns about his age.
After Newsom criticized former President Trump and added Democrats were not underestimating the GOP front-runner’s strength, Welker mentioned how, “76% of voters say they have real concerns about President Biden’s ability to serve a second term.”
“Do you think it’s responsible for Democrats to put him at the top of the ticket given those concerns?” she asked.
After Welker had asked Governor Newsom if he thought it was responsible to continue running Biden for another term, he came to Biden’s defense.
“Responsible, I revere his record. What he’s done in three years, it’s been masterclass, close to 15 million jobs. That’s eight times more than the last three Republican Presidents combined. The economy is booming, inflation is cooling,” Newsom said.
“We have American manufacturing coming back home all because of Biden’s wisdom because of his temperance his capacity to lead in a bipartisan manner,” Newsom continued.
