Russia Set to Confiscate $439 Million from JP Morgan After US Passes Bill to Transfer Seized Russian Assets to Ukraine

The US House of Representatives passed legislation to allow the transfer of seized Russian assets to Ukraine.

According to CNN – The measure approved by the House on April 20 will enable the executive branch to seize immobilized Russian assets and use them to help Ukraine’s defense and recovery efforts.

In response to the move by US lawmakers Russia confiscated $439 million from JPMorgan, the largest US Bank.

Amidst the geopolitical chess game following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a Russian court has decisively ruled in favor of state-owned VTB Bank, sanctioning the seizure of a staggering $439.5 million from JPMorgan Chase.

This action targets the funds previously frozen by the American financial giant under U.S. sanctions, highlighting a severe clash between international legal actions and national banking operations.

The directive issued by a St. Petersburg arbitration court not only captures JPMorgan’s cash reserves in Russia but also extends its grip to both movable and immovable assets of the bank, including significant shares in its Russian subsidiaries.

The court’s decision emerges from a lawsuit initiated by VTB aiming to recover the frozen funds, alleging that JPMorgan’s planned exit from Russia exacerbates the financial strife. The next discussion in this legal tangle is scheduled for July 17, promising further developments in this high-stakes financial drama.

VIDEO: Police Absolutely Obliterate Anti-Israel Protesters at Wash U in St. Louis – Drag Them Away by Their Feet – Green Party Candidate Jill Stein Arrested

St. Louis Police wasted no time on Saturday night in quashing an anti-Israel, Pro-Palestinian protest at Washington University in St. Louis.

The Jew-hating Marxists formed a line on campus and locked arms as the police approached them to break up their encampment.

As the young Jew-hating leftists were chanting, “Hold the line!” Police moved in and dragged them away by their feet.

Here is your feel-good video of the day.

Of course, a far-left, Jew-hating professer was there to support the young Marxists. Dr. Megan Ellyia was offering support for the Wash U protesters.

Alderwoman @LishaLiberty : “It’s definitely time for y’all [WashU] to pay taxes.”

Dr. @MeganEllyia: “GREAT use of police resources.”

Yessss call them OUT

Dozens of British Muslims Sentenced in Rape Gang Trial, Facing Combined Total of 346 Years in Prison

Dozens of British Muslims Sentenced in Rape Gang Trial, Facing Combined Total of 346 Years in Prison

Dozens of predominantly Muslim men have been sentenced to a combined total of 346 years for sexually abusing girls in Yorkshire, England.

In a press release on Saturday, West Yorkshire Police confirmed that 25 men had been sentenced for various sexual related crimes:

Dozens of men who sexually abused young girls in Kirklees have been jailed for a combined 346 years following a major police investigation. Sentencing took place at Leeds Crown Court yesterday ( April 26 ) for the latest men convicted as part of Operation Tourway, a multi-year investigation into the non-recent sexual exploitation of young girls in North Kirklees.

Asif Ali (53) from Batley, Mohammed Tausif Hanif (39) from Dewsbury, Ali Shah (38) from Dewsbury, Moshin Nadat (38) from Heckmondwike, Sarfraz Miraf (38) from Dewsbury, Mohammed Nazam Nasser (38) from Batley and Amir Ali Hussain (45) from Batley were all sentenced for multiple offences.

An eighth man was also made subject of a hospital order following a finding of the facts at court.   Their conviction means 25 men have so far been sentenced for their roles in the rape, sexual abuse and trafficking of eight then young girls in North Kirklees between 1999 and 2012.

One of the men convicted received a sentence in excess of 30 years during the trials, most of which were protected by reporting restrictions to ensure those involved could be tried fairly.  Now, with the lifting of restrictions, 24 men brought to court so far can be named and full details of their sentences disclosed.

Operation Tourway is merely the latest case of predominantly Muslim men found guilty of heinous sex crimes against young girls, often on an endemic scale.

The most notorious of these cases was Rotherham grooming gangs scandal, where around 1,400 children were abused by gangs of British-Pakistani men, between 1997 and 2013.

Although some of the culprits were eventually convicted, many also evaded justice after police refused to act on reports of sexual abuse over fears they would be labelled as racist.

Palestinian Athletes Invited to Compete at Paris Olympics… Without Having to Qualify!

Palestinian Athletes Invited to Compete at Paris Olympics… Without Having to Qualify!

Palestinian athletes will be given the opportunity to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games without having to qualify.

Thomas Bach, head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), confirmed that six to eight Palestinian athletes will be invited to participate in the Paris Games. Qualification events are currently ongoing.

“Whave made the clear commitment that even if no [Palestinian] athlete would qualify on the field of play… then the NOC [National Olympic Committee] of Palestine would benefit from invitations, like other national Olympic Committees who do not have a qualified athlete,” Bach said in an interview with Agence France-Presse.

Bach added that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had always “supported in many different ways the athletes to allow them to take part in qualifications and to continue their training.”

His comments come as Israel comes under increasing pressure from around the world to ease its offensive against the Islamist group Hamas, which has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered that Russian athletes will be allowed to compete at the games, although only under a neutral banner. They must also have never publicly supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and have no links to the country’s military or security services.

“The situation between Israel and Palestine is completely different,” Bach added. “From day one, we expressed how horrified we were, first on the seventh of October and then about the war and its horrifying consequences. We have always been very clear, as we have been with the Russian invasion in Ukraine.”

The Road Back to Normalcy Starts Where the Problem Began: College Campuses

The long-awaited return to normal has started in America.

Google swiftly fired 28 employees who occupied their boss’s office in protest against a corporate contract with Israel. Educational institutions such as Vanderbilt University and Columbia Universityhave suspended or expelled student protesters who occupied buildings and spaces illegally. Pomona College, American University, and the University of Georgia have similarly suspended student activists for causing disruptions.

American institutions are no longer willing to put up with selfish, entitled, and unrealistic direct actions. That is a good thing. The nation went crazy in 2020 and has taken four years to regrow a backbone against the tiny, vocal minority trying to upend American values and our daily lives.

The rule of law, respect for authority, tolerance of difference, and civil behavior are all core American values that higher education has thrown away and our national institutions are now scrambling to reclaim. Institutions’ experiment with placating activist intolerance is over.

These disciplinary measures are the first step in a long road back to sanity. The path will have roadblocks, and quite literally did on April 15 when protesters across the country used their bodies to blockade airports, bridges, and highways. But at least America now appears oriented in the correct direction.

The greatest evidence for this trend comes from Claire Shipman, the board of trustees co-chair at Columbia University, who testified before the House Committee on Education & the Workforce hearing on antisemitism on that campus. Shipman’s April 17 testimony made clear that universities are overrun with antisemitic protests because they have lost their ways as institutions of learning and are now incubators for anti-American revolutionaries.

Shipman’s vision for a better Columbia thoroughly rejects the prevailing attitudes in 2020 that tasked higher education to create the next generation of politically active social justice warriors. Like a butterfly shedding its cocoon that kept it ignorant of what was always there, Shipman’s attitude can serve as a roadmap for universities to restore their founding values, de-politicize their curriculum, and narrow their focus to academic rigor and excellence.

A return to basics will benefit American institutions on and off campus because these virtues are the necessary ingredients for robust liberal educations that foster intellectual curiosity, civil debate, and respect for humanity. The students occupying their campuses in pitched tents possess none of these characteristics. Their jeers, physical attacks, and calls for death project a future America devoid of our core values.

The last four years set American society and education back a generation. But hope is not lost. Some businesses and universities have found their authority to assert civility and tolerance.

Google moved past its problematic employees much faster than Netflix did in 2021 when a hoard of LGBTQ workers walked out in protest of a Dave Chapelle special. This semester, university presidents are more decisive than in November 2023, when the University of Michigan tolerated more than 200 anti-Israel student protesters who occupied an administrative building.

Yale University warned its protesters that they would face consequences for occupying campus and promptly arrested over 40 students. Columbia University is an exception to this trend. Its president, Minouche Shafik, is a deer in headlights too afraid to move against Jew-haters as the campus anti-Semites continue to occupy the Manhattan campus. The trendline resembles Yale’s actions more than Columbia’s inaction.

Swift removals and firings are good for business, whether that business is software technology or higher learning. Zero tolerance for disruptive political actions also benefits workers and students focused on learning new skills and getting ahead.

Productivity grinds to a halt when Americans cannot use their highways, airports, offices, and classrooms. Americans cannot succeed when we cannot utilize our resources to the greatest potential.

We all deserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness free from those who would ruin our days to satisfy their selfish causes. But our inalienable rights will become unattainable rights if universities — which shepherd undergraduates into the real world — fail to instill the right values in students. Higher education getting its act together will pay dividends for our economy, communities, and society.
