But his 1st Amendment claim still pending in federal court

Prosecutors in Fort Bend County, Texas, have given up on their campaign to convict a citizen journalist who was singled out by police and arrested from among a number of other reporters at the scene of a police response.

The Institute for Justice notes, however, that the federal lawsuit by journalist Justin Pulliam against authorities in the county continues.

But they no longer will be prosecuting him for misdemeanor offenses.

The decision came after a hung jury in a trial, in which five jurors decided on acquittal, and one held out for a conviction.

The institute explained the county now has dropped charges that Pulliam interfered with police officers.

“We’re supposed to enjoy liberty and justice for all, to be able to speak our beliefs, but prosecutors can violate the Constitution with retaliatory prosecutions to silence political opposition. It’s alarming and outrageous,” Pulliam said in a statement released by the institute.

“I was saved only by a jury of my peers, who stopped the political persecution after watching the video—my video—that showed exactly what happened.”

The background is that he was arrested in December 2021 while recording the Fort Bend County sheriff’s office’s response to a mental health call. Justin had permission from the property owner and was nowhere close to the scene.

“But then-Sgt. Taylor Rollins, a defendant in Justin’s free speech challenge, arrested him within 60 seconds of arriving on scene because Justin questioned why he was being ordered off scene while others were allowed to stay,” the organization confirmed.

He filed his lawsuit in December 2022, and shortly later, the state prosecutor took him to trial for allegedly interfering with Rollins.

That resulted in the mistrial.

“Those five jurors got it right,” explained IJ lawyer Jeff Rowes. “Not only did Justin not break the law, his arrest was blatantly unconstitutional and a threat to citizen journalists everywhere. The DA never should have prosecuted in the first place and it was right to drop the charges now.”

A federal court already has rejected the sheriff’s claim that the resulting First Amendment lawsuit by Pulliam should be dismissed.

The IJ said, “Justin’s lawsuit with IJ seeks to protect First Amendment rights in two ways. First, the public is allowed to record police subject only to reasonable restrictions. Again, Justin was far from interfering with police activities. Second, government officials cannot treat independent journalists differently from members of the established media or other members of the public. The deputy who arrested Justin singled him out from others on the scene just because Justin was recording.”

The IJ noted, “As part of his project to instill more accountability and transparency into the actions of public officials, Justin tracks calls on a scanner and drives to the scene to document law enforcement responses. His particular focus is on recording calls where no one was accused of a crime, such as mental health checks. Afterward, his videos are uploaded onto his YouTube channel, Corruption Report. Justin’s viewpoint is clear: He is suspicious of authority and doesn’t take kindly to government officials who want to hide from the public.”

Lady Gaga Brags About Performing At 5 Concerts While Sick With COVID After Warning ‘Masks Are A Sign Of Respect’: ‘I Shared It With Everyone On My Team’

Lady Gaga Brags About Performing At 5 Concerts While Sick With COVID After Warning ‘Masks Are A Sign Of Respect’: ‘I Shared It With Everyone On My Team’

Singer Lady Gaga urged the peasants to “wear a mask” as a “sign of respect” as governments around the world exploited the manufactured COVID-19 pandemic to install tyranny.

Now the pop icon is gloating and laughing about how she performed five concerts while she was sick with Covid and wore no mask.

Her fans gave her a round of applause when she admitted to exposing them all to the virus.

At a Q&A ahead of a screening of her new HBO concert special, Gaga Chromatica Ball, on Thursday, the mask Nazis revealed her COVID-19 infection didn’t stop her from performing and getting up close and personal with her fans in the audience.

“If you wouldn’t mind sharing something you’ve never shared before about the creating of this project, the execution of this project and…of this tour, something that you’ve never said aloud before, what you’d be willing to share today?”

“I did five shows with Covid,” Lady Gaga admitted.

The host’s jaw dropped and he jumped to his feet as the singer’s supporters cheered the hypocrisy.

“You ever be like, ‘You better get a friend?’ the host muttered incoherently bursting into laughter.

“I shared it with everyone on my team,” Gaga said. “I said, ‘I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work and you don’t have to perform and you don’t have to work that day, but, I’m going to the show because I just didn’t want to let all the fans down.”

“And the way that I saw it also is that the fans were all putting themselves in harm’s way every day, coming to the show. So, you know,” she added before began cracking up laughing.

“Hahahah. Somebody said, ‘Better than lying,” the host shot back.

“I might sound like a broken record but wear a mask. It’s a sign of respect,” she obediently proselytized back then, donning her usual demonic garb.

Conspicuously, mainstream media outlets including Rolling Stone, NTNews, New York Magazine’s The Cut, Bang Showbiz, Huffington Post and New York Post’s Page Six, covered Gaga’s Covid confession but not a single outlet included the footage of the Q&A showcasing the hypocrisy in their reports.

Lady Gaga has received 36 Grammy nominations, won 13 Grammy Awards, 2 Golden Globe Awards, and 18 MTV Music Awards, to date. She has also received awards from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. In 2010, Billboard name her Artist of the Year and in 2015 named her Woman of the Year, according to IMDb.

Of course, Lady Gaga is an ardent Biden supporter.

Judge in Hunter Biden Gun Trial Rules That Jurors Can See Evidence of Illegal Drug Use From His “Laptop From Hell”

Judge in Hunter Biden Gun Trial Rules That Jurors Can See Evidence of Illegal Drug Use From His “Laptop From Hell”

Hunter filmed himself with a gun and kept the video on his laptop from hell.

The Judge in Hunter Biden’s federal gun case ruled on Friday that prosecutors can use evidence from Hunter Biden’s laptop to sway jury members.

However, according to Fox, “prosecutors on Special Counsel David Weiss’ team cannot use some salacious evidence in the first son’s criminal trial next month, including references to his U.S. Navy discharge and the child support case for his out-of-wedlock daughter in Arkansas.”

In September, Hunter Biden was indicted on federal gun charges. He was indicted in a Delaware court on three counts related to his possession of a firearm while using drugs.

Hunter pleaded not guilty to all three felony gun charges in October.

Separately, Hunter Biden was hit with a 9-count indictment filed in the Central District of California: Tax evasion, failure to file/pay taxes, and false/fraudulent tax return.

Jury selection in the gun case begins on June 3, and they will be presented with evidence of illegal drug use from the laptop.

BREAKING: The jurors in Hunter Biden’s gun trial are permitted to see evidence of his illegal drug use from the laptop from hell.

HUGE WIN!

In 2019, Hunter Biden dropped off his damaged laptops at a Delaware computer repair shop run by John Paul Mac Isaac.

John Paul Mac Isaac’s life changed in April 2019 when a visibly drunk Hunter Biden stopped by his computer repair shop with three damaged MacBook Pro laptops and left one with Isaac to fix. After many failed attempts to reach Hunter Biden, John Paul Mac Isaac took lawful ownership of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.

Discovered on the laptop were photos, videos, and email evidence of Hunter Biden’s illicit drug and prostitute usage as well as criminal foreign business dealings.

Now, after denying the laptop is even his, Hunter Biden is now claiming in civil lawsuits and his gun case that the data has been manipulated.

Per New York Post:

Five years and one month after first son Hunter Biden dropped off three damaged laptops at a repair shop in Wilmington, Del., and never returned to pick them up, a Delaware federal judge ruled that jurors at the 54-year-old’s upcoming trial on weapons charges can be shown damaging evidence about his illegal drug use taken from his hard drive, his iPhone and iPad and his own memoir.

As Hunter looked on in court — one day after attending a White House state dinner — US District Judge Maryellen Noreika in Wilmington ruled that the “laptop from hell” could not be barred out of hand based on his legal team’s claim it had been hacked and seeded with false information.

However, Noreika did rule that the first son’s attorneys can object to the introduction of specific pieces of information from the laptop as prosecutors — who say there is no evidence that the computer was ever compromised — seek to raise them during trial, which begins with jury selection June 3.

The Biden scion — who didn’t answer questions from the media on his way in and out of court — is accused of three counts related to illegal ownership of a gun while addicted to crack cocaine. He faces up to 25 years behind bars if convicted on all charges.

Now we wait and see if justice will truly be served against Hunter or if he will get away with the privilege of being a Biden.

Grayson Murray, the 30-year-old PGA Tour golfer who passed away on Saturday, died by suicide, according to his parents.

The two-time PGA Tour winner’s parents, Eric and Terry Murray, shared a statement with more information about his death on Sunday.

“We would like to thank the PGA Tour and the entire world of golf for the outpouring of support,” the parents said. “Life wasn’t always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he rests peacefully now.”

“We have spent the past 24 hours trying to come to terms with the fact that our son is gone,” the Murrays continued. “It’s surreal that we not only have to admit it to ourselves, but that we have to acknowledge it to the world. It’s a nightmare. We have so many questions that have no answers.”

Murray had previously spoke openly and candidly about his battles with alcoholism and depression.

On Saturday, PGA Tour golfer Peter Malnati broke down while speaking to CBS News about Murray’s death.

“I don’t even know Grayson all that well, but I spent the last two days with him,” Malnati said. “And it’s so funny. We get so worked up out here about a bad break here or a good break there. We’re so competitive. It’s so competitive out here. We all want to beat each other.”

“And then something like this happens and you realize we’re all just humans.. It’s a really hard day, because you look at Grayson and you see in him someone who has visibly, outwardly struggled in the past. And he’s been open about it. And you see him kind of get his life back to a place where he’s been good about things. And he’s playing great. His game is so good. He’s so good at golf.”

“It’s a huge loss for our fans,” Malnati said. “You realize that as much as we want to beat each other, as much as you want to be competitive, we really are one big family. And we lost one today, and that’s terrible.”

WATCH: CBS’s Margaret Brennan Shocks Buttigieg When She Says Trump is Right About Biden’s Insane Electric Vehicle Mandate

CBS’s “Face The Nation” host Margaret Brennan shocked Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Sunday when she actually pushed back and said Trump was right about Biden’s insane electric vehicle mandate.

Margaret Brennan played a clip for Pete Buttigieg of President Trump slamming Biden’s insane electric vehicle mandate during his massive rally in New Jersey

“We’re spending hundreds of billions of dollars subsidizing a car that nobody wants!” Trump said.

Trump is correct.

In 2021, the Democrat-controlled Congress gave Joe Biden $7.5 billion to install electric vehicle chargers all over the country and only 7 or 8 EV charging stations have been built. It’s a total scam.

According to 2021 analysis from the New York Times, $1.2 trillion of the ‘Infrastructure’ bill would be spent over 8 years and $550 billion will go to roads, bridges, rail lines, electric vehicles, water systems and other programs.

Electric vehicles are unpopular, expensive and bad for the environment but the Biden Regime is going into overdrive to force car companies to produce more EVs while they crack down on gas-powered vehicle tailpipe emissions.

“He’s not wrong,” Margaret Brennan said of Trump’s statement slamming the wasteful EV mandate.

“Oh, he’s wrong,” Pete Buttigieg said.

Margaret Brennan actually pushed back and said, “He’s not.”

Buttigieg’s mouth dropped as Margaret Brennan rattled off facts about how unpopular electric vehicles are.
