A video game maker and Instagram parent company, Meta, are being sued by victim’s families in connection with the Uvalde school shooting.
According to the lawsuits, the companies promoted deadly weapons to a generation of “socially vulnerable” young men, including the gunman, who was 18 years old at the time of the shooting.

The BBC reports,
The lawsuits contend that Meta and Activision “knowingly exposed” him to the gun he used at Uvalde and conditioned him to see it as the solution to his problems.
The lawsuits claim that Instagram, Activision and Daniel Defense have been “partnering…in a scheme that preys upon insecure, adolescent boys”, attorneys said in a news release.
“There is a direct line between the conduct of these companies and the Uvalde shooting,” the statement said.
“This three-headed monster knowingly exposed him to the weapon, conditioned him to see it as a tool to solve his problems and trained him to use it.”
According to lawsuits, the gunman had been playing Call of Duty, a war-based video game with a rifle similar to the one used in the shooting, since he was 15 years old.
The lawsuit says the gunman was “simultaneously” the subject of “aggressive marketing” by Daniel Defense, which targeted the teen with ads on Instagram.
“Instagram creates a connection between …an adolescent …and the gun and a gun company,” Josh Koskoff, the plaintiffs’ attorney, told the BBC’s US media partner CBS, on Friday. “And nobody exploited Instagram for this purpose more than Daniel Defense.”
CBS reported that an Activision spokesperson described the Uvalde shooting as “horrific and heartbreaking in every way,” and the company offered its “deepest sympathies” to the victims and their families.
“Millions of people around the world enjoy video games without turning to horrific acts”, the spokesman said.
Meta, Daniel Defense, and Activision have been contacted by the BBC for their comments.
Daniel Defense, a steadfast supporter of the Second Amendment, is currently facing lawsuits from a number of victim’s families. In a 2022 statement, the company firmly condemned these lawsuits as “frivolous” and “politically motivated.”
On Wednesday, families of the victims reached a $2m (£1.5m) settlement with the city of Uvalde.
More than 370 officers from various local, state and federal departments were at Robb Elementary during the attack.
It took police more than an hour to stop the gunman, who was barricaded inside adjoining classrooms.
As part of their legal action, the families also disclosed that they would be suing 92 individual officers from the state’s Department of Public Safety for “shocking and extensive failures” following the shooting.

This is another reminder of Joe Biden’s America. A border crisis that is out of control.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin interviewed an illegal from Pakistan this past week who crossed the border in the San Diego sector in Jacumba, California. With the border wide open with little to no consequences, the man did not seem even slightly worried about breaking the law.
“Where are you from?” Melugin asked.
“Pakistan,” the illegal responded.
“Pakistan, how did you get here?” Melugin asked.
“Just I crossed the border,” the illegal replied.
“I know you crossed the border, where did you fly into? How did you get here?” Melugin asked.
“I came from Brazil,” the illegal responded.
“From Brazil, ok. Why did you come to the US?” Melugin asked.
“For the job, for work,” the illegal responded.
“You want to work. You know it’s illegal to come here across the border like this right?” Melugin asked.
“Ya,” the illegal responded.
“Not a big deal?” Melugin asked.
“No,” the illegal responded.
Watch:
NEW: A Pakistani man who crossed illegally into Jacumba, CA told me he came to the US for work, not asylum, & that he passed through Brazil & Peru. I asked him if he knows that crossing the border the way he did is illegal?
He said yes.
I asked, “no big deal?”
“No,” he smiled. pic.twitter.com/sfhklAlMTk

The illegal alien’s response should really be no surprise considering the wide open border invitation under crooked Joe Biden. Since January 2021, an estimated 10 to 12 million illegals have invaded the US. That number does not even consider the millions already in the US before that.
Bill Melugin had also recently interviewed an illegal alien from Turkey who described how easy it was to cross the border.
Watch:
NEW: A Turkish man who crossed into Jacumba, CA illegally w/ a group of other Turkish men told me he paid $10k to a cartel, & expressed shock at how easy it was to cross the U.S. border with no resistance, telling me Americans should be “worried” about security & who is crossing. pic.twitter.com/Qb1a9BiDuV

This is a daily invasion of the US. In February, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” and dodged all responsibility for the border crisis blaming it on a “broken system.”

Joe Biden on Saturday took a break from his weekend vacation in Delaware to deliver the 2024 commencement address at the United States Military Academy, West Point, in New York.
81-year-old Biden shuffled onto the stage.

Joe Biden slurred his way through the commencement address.
At one point what’s left of Joe Biden’s brain broke.
“The fall he a tied, that fall he decided, look — I shouldn’t get into this, probably,” Biden said.

Biden lied to the West Point grads and claimed he was “appointed” to the Naval Academy.
“I was appointed by my – the fellow I ran against when I was 29 years old to the Naval Academy. I was one of ten. I wanted to play football and the day I was supposed to go down for the interview, a classmate of mine was also one of the ten appointed…” Biden said. “I said, well, I’m not going there. I’m going to Delaware ha ha ha. Not a joke!”
This is one of Biden’s favorite lies. There is no proof to back up these claims. Biden is a legend in his own mind.

In yet another surrender to the global agenda of the far-left UN and the World Economic Forum, a new proposed bill in Illinois seeks to mandate climate change brainwashing in public schools across the state.
Illinois House Bill 4895 would require students to be taught that human activities are causing global warming and provide state-supported “solutions” to the alleged crisis.
From the bill:
Amends the Courses of Study Article of the School Code. Provides that, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, every public school shall provide instruction on climate change, which shall include, but not be limited to, identifying the environmental and ecological impacts of climate change on individuals and communities and evaluating solutions for addressing and mitigating the impact of climate change and shall be in alignment with State learning standards, as appropriate. Provides that the State Board of Education shall, subject to appropriation, prepare and make available multi-disciplinary instructional resources and professional learning opportunities for educators that may be used to meet the requirements of the instruction. Effective July 1, 2025.
The Illinois State Board of Education will also prepare “multidisciplinary instructional resources” and “professional development” opportunities for teachers to ensure the agenda’s permeation.
While the state pushes “climate change,” Critical Race Theory, and the sexualization of children in schools, academic rigor in the state continues to slip lower and lower.
The Illinois State Board of Education’s report card is dreadful.
In 30 schools in Illinois, not a single student can read at grade level, 22 of which are in the City of Chicago.
In 53 schools, not a single student can do math at grade level, 33 of which are in Chicago.
House Bill 4895 is one of three climate change education bills currently active in the Illinois legislature. The others are Senate Bill 3644, which is similar to 4895, and House Bill 4319, both of which are still in committee.
Last year, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that kids today suffer from ‘climate mental health’ issues.
If young people have anxiety about the climate, maybe it’s because Democrats, the media, and now public schools keep saying that the world is going to end.
According to a 2021 Lancet study that surveyed 10,000 young people in 10 countries, more than 59 percent were very or extremely worried about climate change and felt the following emotions: sad, anxious, angry, powerless, helpless, and guilty.
More than 45% of respondents said their feelings about climate change negatively affected their daily life and functioning with 75% saying that they think the future is frightening.
Another component of the survey revealed that climate anxiety and distress were also correlated with perceived inadequate government response and associated feelings of betrayal.
Fomenting anxiety and distrust ofd Economic Forum’s apparent goal of disrupting and replacing government fits nicely with the UN and the Worl governments.
Illinois seems determined to do its part to keep students anxious and distrustful.

In a statement released by the PGA Tour on Saturday, Commissioner Jay Monahan expressed deep sorrow over Murray’s unexpected death. The details surrounding Murray’s passing were not disclosed in the press release.
Read the full statement from the PGA Tour:
“We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “The PGA TOUR is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.
“I reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play,” Commissioner Monahan continued. “They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes.”
Grief counselors will be available at the venues for this week’s PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour events. Commissioner Monahan is en route to the Charles Schwab Challenge, as well, and said more information will be shared when it is available.
Murray, 30, was a standout golfer from his youth. He won three consecutive Callaway Junior World Championships (2006-08) and was the was the top-ranked golfer in his age group. He made his first cut on the Korn Ferry Tour at age 16, becoming the second-youngest player ever to do so. After stints at Wake Forest University, East Carolina University and Arizona State University, he got the break he needed in 2016 when he was given a sponsor’s exemption into the Korn Ferry Tour event near his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina.
He finished inside the top 10 at that event, the Rex Hospital Open, which qualified him for another start. When he posted another top 10 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am, his professional career took off. He concluded his season with a victory at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship to finish second on the Korn Ferry Tour money list and earn full status on the PGA TOUR for the 2016-17 season. The win came a week before his 23rd birthday.
Murray wasted little time establishing himself on golf’s biggest stage as a rookie. He won the 2017 Barbasol Championship while still just 23 years old. His final-round 68 not only secured a one-shot victory, but also solidified a two-year exemption through the 2019 PGA TOUR season. He finished 66th in the FedExCup and earned nearly $1.5 million.
Grayson struggled for the next few seasons on the PGA TOUR. In 2023, he found his game again on the Korn Ferry Tour; he notched two victories – the Advent Health Championship in Kansas City and the Simmons Bank Open outside of Nashville – to finish fourth on that tour’s points list and earn a spot back onto the PGA TOUR for the following season.
Murray opened the 2024 season with a playoff victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He made a clutch up and down on the 72nd hole for a birdie to force sudden death. Then he sank a 40-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to defeat Byeong Hun An and Keegan Bradley. He reached a career-high 46th in the Official World Golf Ranking after that victory.
