Former Obama adviser David Axelrod appeared on CNN this weekend to offer his assessment of Biden’s interview on CNN and it was pretty brutal.

He called the interview ‘sad’ and suggested that Biden is dangerously out of touch. He also concurred with many other people who have said that the interview did nothing to calm the nerves of Democrat voters.

This has to sting the Biden White House because David Axelrod worked closely with Biden in the Obama administration.

The Hill reports:

Axelrod post-interview: Biden ‘dangerously out of touch’ with voter concerns

Democratic strategist David Axelrod warned that President Biden is “dangerously out of touch” with voters on the issue of his age and health following Biden’s highly anticipated sit-down interview on ABC News.

“The president is rightfully proud of his record. But he is dangerously out-of-touch with the concerns people have about his capacities moving forward and his standing in this race,” Axelrod wrote in a post on the social platform X. “Years ago at this time, he was 10 points ahead of Trump. Today, he is six points behind.”

Axelrod’s comments came shortly after Biden’s full interview with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos aired Friday evening. The interview was the first since Biden’s widely panned debate performance against former President Trump last week.

Throughout the interview, Biden described that debate performance as “a bad night.”

Watch the segment below:

The writing is on the wall.

Will Obama be the next person to say something like this?

Joe Biden’s Upcoming Fundraiser in Wisconsin Cancelled – Donors Who Committed to Giving Large Sums Withdrew After First Debate

Joe Biden’s Upcoming Fundraiser in Wisconsin Cancelled – Donors Who Committed to Giving Large Sums Withdrew After First Debate
July 7, 2024

Joe Biden sat down with George Stephanopoulos on Friday for an in depth interview following his predictable mental collapse during the first 2024 presidential debate against President Donald Trump.

During their conversation, Stephanopoulos asked Biden if he had reviewed the debate following his public drubbing.

Joe Biden answered, “I don’t remember.”

It was one of his only honest answers during his sitdown with the ABC News Democrat operative.

Since the debate, suddenly the Democrats and their faithful media lapdogs are worried about Joe’s dementia. They haven’t said anything about for several years but now it is an issue since the whole world knows Joe Biden is out to lunch and that the legacy media has been carrying his water.

On Saturday, The New York Times reported that a Wisconsin fundraiser for Joe Biden has been cancelled.

The New York Times reported:

Some of President Biden’s fund-raising events in the coming weeks are in jeopardy, with one potential Wisconsin event failing to materialize and a Texas event up in the air after his poor debate performance against Donald J. Trump.

Mr. Biden’s fund-raising schedule is often fluid, as the White House and the campaign juggle the complicated logistics of official events with the competing demands of donors and finance operatives. But the aftermath of his debate performance has added an additional layer of uncertainty, with a growing group of major donors calling on Mr. Biden to drop his re-election campaign and make way for a replacement at the top of the ticket.

The Biden campaign had discussed sending Mr. Biden to Wisconsin for a late July fund-raiser, according to three people briefed on the plans. But donors who had committed to giving large sums and attending began withdrawing soon after the debate ended.

The campaign had hoped to raise $1 million from the event, but after the debate, campaign officials reset the event’s goal to $500,000, according to one person involved in arranging it. Even that proved to be more than Wisconsin donors were willing to give to Mr. Biden. Plans for the event are now off.

The Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (PDPHE), in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), is currently investigating a human case of plague based on preliminary test results.

The plague bacterium, known as Yersinia pestis, can be transmitted by fleas and wild rodents, such as prairie dogs, squirrels, rats, and rabbits.

According to the CDC, “Humans usually become infected through the bite of an infected rodent flea or by handling an infected animal. Plague can be cured with antibiotics, but these must be given promptly to prevent serious illness or death.”

Symptoms of plague include sudden fever and chills, severe headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and a general feeling of illness. Swollen lymph nodes with pain are also a common symptom.

Plague can manifest in three forms: Bubonic plague infects your lymph nodes, septicemic plague is in your blood and pneumonic plague affects your lungs. Health officials did not specify which form the case in Pueblo County was.

Alicia Solis, program manager of the Office of Communicable Disease and Emergency Preparedness at PDPHE, advises individuals to take precautions to protect themselves and their pets from plague.

Solis advised the public on how to protect themselves and their pets from the plague:

  • Eliminate places that rodents can hide and breed around your home, garage, shed or recreation area. Remove brush, rock piles, trash, and piles of lumber.
  • Avoid contact with dead animals. If you must handle sick or dead animals follow these guidelines. First, put on an insect repellant to protect yourself from fleas. Then use a long-handled shovel to place it in a garbage bag. Lastly, place the bag in an outdoor garbage can.
  • Use insect repellent that contains 20%-30% DEET to prevent flea bites. Treat pants, socks, shoe tops, arms, and legs.
  • Do not let pets sleep in bed with you.
  • Treat dogs and cats for fleas regularly. Flea collars have not been proven effective.
  • Do not allow pets to hunt or roam in rodent areas, such as prairie dog colonies.
  • Keep pet food in rodent-proof containers.

“If you develop symptoms of plague, see a health care provider immediately. Plague can be treated successfully with antibiotics, but an infected person must be treated promptly to avoid serious complications or death,” said Alicia Solis.

NBA BRAWL: Evan Fournier Chokes Dennis Schroder During France-Germany Match

NBA BRAWL: Evan Fournier Chokes Dennis Schroder During France-Germany Match

Evan Fournier

An uncivil incident broke out between two NBA players during international play.

As France defeated Germany 90-66 on Saturday, Evan Fournier and Dennis Schroder had to be separated following a violent altercation.

The New York Post reports,

Schroder demonstratively approached Fournier after the latter fouled him, putting his hands on Fournier’s shoulder area.

Fournier, a polarizing ex-Knick, then choked Schroder with both hands before teammates and referees separated them.

Fournier was subsequently ejected.

The two players did appear to speak and make up on the court, however.

In February, Evan Fournier, Quentin Grimes, Malachi Flynn, Ryan Arcidiacono, and two second-round picks were traded from the Knicks to the Pistons for Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks.

Having left New York and feeling constrained by the team’s status, Fournier expressed relief at having new opportunities.

“I’m still in New York at the moment,” Fournier said at the time. “I want to leave. But beyond leaving, I want to have the opportunity to get some playing time back. That’s all. That’s mostly it. Because in New York, I feel extremely good. I love living there, I love the franchise, I love playing at Madison [Square Garden], I love the guys on the team.

“So I just want to play, that’s all. It’s true that finding another club, changing franchises, if that’s what you have to do to play again, that’s what I would like to do.”

Schroder, 30, is getting ready for his second season with the Nets.

Last year, the Nets acquired him along with Thaddeus Young in a trade that sent Spencer Dinwiddie to a different team.

Ever since joining Brooklyn, Schroder has averaged 14.6 points and 6.0 assists per game over 29 games.

Feds Want Migratory Bird Treaty Exemption to Call in and Eradicate American Owls

Feds Want Migratory Bird Treaty Exemption to Call in and Eradicate American Owls

Feds Want Migratory Bird Treaty Exemption to Call in and Eradicate American Owls
July 7, 2024

A federal agency is seeking an exemption to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act to lure and eradicate owl populations.

The proposed strategy from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is part of an effort to reverse the decline of northern and California spotted owls. These threatened birds’ West Coast habitat, stretching from California to Washington state, is currently being invaded by a feathered cousin — the North American barred owl.

The barred owl is common in the eastern half of the United States and southeastern Canada, but its range has expanded into the far west. where the government considers it invasive.

The FWS released a final impact statement Wednesday, outlining the agency’s proposed strategy to lure and kill the “invasive” owls in these areas.

According to the news release, the cull “would result in the annual removal of less than one-half of 1 percent of the current North American barred owl population.”

“If the proposed strategy is adopted and fully implemented,” the release later continues, “lethal removal of barred owls by trained professionals would occur in less than half of the areas where spotted and invasive barred owls co-exist within the northern spotted owl’s range; and would limit their invasion into the California spotted owl’s range.”

The proposal listed the ways this great American bird may be killed.

“Barred owls will be lured to the removal specialist using an amplified megaphone, or similar device, to broadcast digitally recorded barred owl calls, alternating with listening for responses,” the FWS proposal states.

Shotguns of 20 gauge or larger are permitted for this cull, with the FWS suggesting the guns be fitted with night sights or other low-light optics. Shots must be taken to ensure a certain kill.

“All shots must be directed at barred owls which are stationary on an unobstructed perch and present a full, frontal and unobstructed view,” the proposal reads. “On-the-wing shots are not authorized under this protocol.”

According to the FWS, the barred owl’s westward movement began in the early 20th century.

The agency blamed human-induced changes as the likely catalyst forcing barred owls to expand their native range. The birds now outnumber the threatened spotted owls in many areas where the ranges overlap.

“Barred owl management is not about one owl versus another,” FWS Oregon Office supervisor Kessina Lee said.

“Without actively managing barred owls, northern spotted owls will likely go extinct in all or the majority of their range, despite decades of collaborative conservation efforts.”

Lee said the cull is not being taken lightly, but is a legitimate measure to safeguard other birds.

“The service has a legal responsibility to do all it can to prevent the extinction of the federally listed northern spotted owl and support its recovery, while also addressing significant threats to California spotted owls,” Lee said.

A decision is expected at least 30 days after the impact study’s publication in the Federal Register.

Barred owls are among the many bird species protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
