The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Black Police Association conducted active shooter preparedness training in several churches and other places of worship in the Las Vegas area.

In a statement to the press, the LVMPD shared that its training is in response to a major need for better safety measures in places of worship.

Bill Carpenter, a minister at Land of God Church, told Fox 5 Vegas, “We just want to be prepared and learn what we can, what the training is about, and if we need to make improvements to security, then maybe take that to our church and implement it.”

“Every one of us can learn the signs of what to look for or have seen it in people with mental issues, etc., that they might be bringing it up or talking about doing something,” added Carpenter.

The training consists of learning tactics such as how to escape a mass shooting, where to run, and how to fight if necessary.

Metro says the training is in response to a critical need for increased safety measures in public and private sectors, including places of worship.

“We want to try and bridge that gap, and we want to try to bring awareness to the community,” said Detective Adrian Hunt, Black Police Association Nevada Chapter president.

With an uptick in church shootings in recent years, many churches are conducting “Christian Warrior Training” to prevent mass shootings during worship services.

The murder rate in socialist Venezuela has fallen to a 22-year-low as violent criminals moved to the United States and other parts of the continent.

The South American country, which over the past decade has suffered one of the world’s most severe economic and humanitarian crises, has seen its own population plummet as millions of Venezuelans seek opportunities elsewhere.

However, this has also led to an exodus of large numbers of the country’s violent criminals, many of whom have sought “refuge” in the U.S. at the invitation of the Bien regime.

The Daily Mail reports:

Once deemed the world’s most dangerous city, Caracas has seen homicides fall by a staggering 25 percent when compared to 2023, with the Venezuelan Violence Observatory registering 26.8 violent deaths per 100,000 people, compared to a rate of 35.3 for every 100,000 habitants in 2022.

But now, as Venezuelans increasingly flood over the US-Mexico border, reports of newly-arrived migrants committing horrific crimes have left Americans shocked – including that of two men arrested in the brutal abduction, rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Texas just last week.

According to InsightCrime, the dire economic situation in the country, combined with the mass population exodus, has reduced opportunities for those looking to extort, kidnap and rob back home.

‘Crime is falling in Venezuela because of the destruction of the country’s economy …because of the loss of opportunities for crime,’ OVV director Roberto Briceño-León told InSight Crime.

Over 10 million illegal aliens have entered the country illegally since the Biden regime seized power in 2021, with U.S. authorities having little to no knowledge of their past criminal history.

As reported extensively by The Gateway Pundit, many of these illegal aliens have turned out to be career criminals who have spread their violence across the United States.

There have been numerous cases of illegals raping, stealing and murdering innocent American civilians, while there is also evidence that the Venezuelan criminal gang Tren De Aragua has successfully expanded its operations across the country.

The most widely reported instance of this was the murder of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, who was killed whilst out jogging by a 26-year-old José Antonio Ibarra, a Venezuelan illegal alien who had previously been let free by authorities after facing charges of child abuse.

Earlier this month, 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was similarly raped and killed by two men in North Houston, Texas, who later dumped her body into a creek. Two Venezuelan migrants have been charged for her murder.

BBC presenter David Aaronovitch sparked outrage on Monday after he called for the murder of President Donald Trump on Twitter-X.

Aaronovitch, who has since deleted his call for murder from X, called on Joe Biden to “Hurry Up” and “have Trump murdered.”

A top BBC presenter has sparked fury today after tweeting that President Joe Biden should have Donald Trump ‘murdered.’

David Aaronovitch, who presents Radio 4’s Briefing Room show, took to X/Twitter shortly after 5 pm and said: “If I was Biden I’d hurry up and have Trump murdered on the basis that he is a threat to America’s security #SCOTUS.”

The hashtag suggests his wild opinion was sparked by the ruling from the Supreme Court today, which ruled that former presidents have absolute immunity from prosecution for their official acts.

The post from Mr Aaronovitch sparked instant backlash from those who saw it, with many pointing out an egregious breach of the corporation’s rules around employee impartiality.

Responding to journalist Jack Montgomery who accused him of “Trump derangement syndrome”, Mr Aaronovitch doubled down and lashed out, replying: “Did you see the Supreme Court ruling Jack? Or were you too busy with your head up Nigel Farage’s derriere?”

…An hour after posting the tweet, he told one critic that the post was “satirical and based on today’s 6-3 ruling on presidential immunity.”

Mr Aaronovitch finally deleted the post after around 90 minutes, tweeting: “There is now a far right pile-on suggesting that my tweet about the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity is an incitement to violence when it’s plainly a satire.

For months, we have been hearing how Ukraine is ‘soon’ to receive f-16 planes from the West, in a bid to rebuild its decimated Air Force.

In the meantime, Russian Federation forces are repeatedly targeting the main air fields and extending the destruction list of fighter jets that’s almost at 100 planes since the start of the war.

The Mirgorod air base, located 100 miles from the frontline  in the Poltava region, suffered multiple attacks in the month of June – and the attacks are getting ever more destructive.

Yesterday, a Russian Orlan surveillance drone was surveilling the Mirgorod air base, and spotted ‘at least six’ Ukrainian Su-27 supersonic fighters parked in the open at the base in broad daylight.

A Russian Iskander missile attack followed. Iskander operational-tactical missile system was initiated to strike the Ukrainian Mirgorod airfield.

Ukrainians say two of the planes were destroyed, and the other four were damaged. The Russian Ministry of Defense states that five operational Su-27 multirole fighters were destroyed, and two under repair were damaged.

Forbes reported:

“It may have been one of the costliest single days for the battered Ukrainian air arm since Russia widened its war on Ukraine in February 2022. ‘There are some losses’, air force official Yuriy Ignat acknowledged.”

Ukrainian bloggers and social media users were quick to blame air force officers for deciding to park their jets out in the open, especially in a base so close to the front line.

“The raid on Mirgorod is just the latest in a series of Russian strikes on vulnerable Ukrainian air bases. In recent months, Russian Lancet drones have struck at least four Ukrainian jets at Dolgintsevo air base near Kryvyi Rih, just 45 miles from the front line in southern Ukraine.”

The Su-27s at Mirgorod increase the number of Ukrainian warplanes blown up on the ground – losses the ailing Ukrainian air force may not recover from.

“The Ukrainian air force went to war in February 2022 with around 125 Su-27s, Su-25s, MiG-29s and other jets. In 28 months of hard fighting, the Ukrainians have lost around 90 jets that the analysts at Oryx have confirmed.

To make good their losses, the Ukrainians have acquired from their allies, or restored from long-term storage, scores of replacement MiGs and Sukhois. These airframes are keeping the air force in action until ex-European fighters—85 Lockheed Martin F-16s and perhaps a dozen Dassault Mirage 2000s—arrive in Ukraine.”

F-16s and Mirages will also be vulnerable unless steps are taken to protect them. To pull operational jets away from Russian territory would be a start.

“Ukrainian forces have access to around 20 large air bases, dozens of smaller airfields and even highway airstrips scattered across the country. Every single Ukrainian jet type ranges hundreds of miles on internal fuel. There’s no reason for an Su-27 that ranges 700 miles to spend any time at an airfield a hundred miles from the front line.”

Of course, Russians have missiles that can strike across Ukraine all the way to Lvov in the border with Poland.

Ukrainians must move quickly in their countermeasures, or face destruction.
