Elon Musk fired off a warning to Americans after a Brazilian Supreme Court justice blocked X in Brazil.

The Brazilian Supreme Court Justice claimed he is banning X from Brazil because Elon Musk refused to name a legal representative to the country.

X’s Global Affairs disputed this Thursday evening.

“Soon, we expect Judge Alexandre de Moraes will order X to be shut down in Brazil – simply because we would not comply with his illegal orders to censor his political opponents. These enemies include a duly elected Senator and a 16-year-old girl, among others,” X’s Global Affairs said.

“When we attempted to defend ourselves in court, Judge de Moraes threatened our Brazilian legal representative with imprisonment. Even after she resigned, he froze all of her bank accounts. Our challenges against his manifestly illegal actions were either dismissed or ignored. Judge de Moraes’ colleagues on the Supreme Court are either unwilling or unable to stand up to him,” Global Affairs said.

By Friday afternoon, X was banned in Brazil.

“Elon Musk showed his total disrespect for Brazilian sovereignty and, in particular, for the judiciary, setting himself up as a true supranational entity and immune to the laws of each country,” Justice Alexandre de Moraes wrote in his decision.

“The justice said the platform will stay suspended until it complies with his orders, and also set a daily fine of 50,000 reais ($8,900) for people or companies using VPNs to access it.” – AP reported.

Elon Musk lashed out at the Brazilian Supreme Court Justice and called him an “evil dictator.”

Elon Musk warned that free speech likely won’t exist if Kamala Harris steals ‘wins’ the 2024 election.

“Censorship is a certainty if Dems win,” Elon Musk said in response to an X user claiming he “wouldn’t be surprised to see X suspended in the US if the Democrats come into power again.”

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have repeatedly attacked free speech.

Tim Walz famously said, “There is no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech and especially around our democracy.”

The First Amendment and the US Supreme Court say otherwise.

WATCH:

“Freedom of speech is under massive attack around the world,” Elon Musk said.

Texas and Montana Score Major Win Against Biden Regime’s Overreach — Taxpayer-Funded Hospitals Blocked from Conducting Gender Transition Surgeries

Texas and Montana Score Major Win Against Biden Regime’s Overreach — Taxpayer-Funded Hospitals Blocked from Conducting Gender Transition Surgeries
August 30, 2024

In a significant victory for states’ rights and the protection of individual liberties, a U.S. District Court in Texas has issued a nationwide stay on key provisions of the Biden administration’s controversial Final Rule on Nondiscrimination in Health Programs and Activities.

The court’s decision comes after the states of Texas and Montana challenged the rule, arguing that it overstepped constitutional boundaries and imposed undue burdens on states and healthcare providers.

The Final Rule, issued on May 6, 2024, under the guise of preventing discrimination in healthcare, has been criticized for its broad interpretation of “discrimination on the basis of sex,” a term that the Biden administration sought to expand to include gender identity and sexual orientation.

Critics argue that this interpretation effectively forces healthcare providers, including those with religious objections, to perform procedures or provide services that contradict their deeply held beliefs.

On July 3, 2024, the court initially stayed the rule’s implementation in Texas and Montana. However, following motions from both the plaintiffs and the defendants, the court has now extended this stay nationwide.

The court found that the provisions of the rule challenged by Texas and Montana are likely unlawful as they apply to all participants, not just the plaintiffs in the case. As a result, the rule’s effective date has been postponed for all healthcare providers across the country.

According to the press release:

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton won a nationwide stay that blocks the Biden Administration from forcing federally-funded healthcare providers to conduct “gender transition” surgeries. Previously, Texas won a stay of agency action that blocked the rule from enforcement in the plaintiff States, Texas and Montana. Applying the same logic, Texas then argued for nationwide relief, and the court has expanded the relief to the entire country.

In May 2024, the Biden Administration promulgated a new rule under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act that would defund healthcare providers across the country who refuse to perform or pay for experimental, unproven, and potentially dangerous “gender transition” procedures.

Under the rule, any medical institution that refused to perform the procedures could be stripped of all federal healthcare funds, including federal Medicaid and Medicare dollars. The rule further claimed to preempt any state laws forbidding such procedures.

In June 2024, Texas and Montana sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”), arguing that the rule was a plainly unconstitutional attempt to override state law. The rule also relied on a misapplication of the Affordable Care Act which never authorized HHS or any government agency to compel institutions to perform or pay for these procedures.

“When Biden and Harris sidestep the Constitution to force their unlawful, extremist agenda on the American public, we are fighting back and stopping them,” said Attorney General Paxton.

“By blocking this destructive policy, which would have forced taxpayer-funded hospitals to conduct unproven and dangerous ‘gender transition’ procedures, Texas has delivered a major victory for Americans across the country.”

‘Star Wars’ Actress Amandla Stenberg Blames ‘Bigotry’ of Conservatives For Cancellation of ‘The Acolyte’

One of the lead actresses in Disney’s Star Wars: The Acolyte has blamed the “bigotry” of conservatives for the cancellation of the woke spin-off series.

Amandla Stlenberg, who played twin sisters Verosha “Osha” and Mae-ho “Mae” Anisey, took to Instagram to express her views on why the show was cancelled after just one season.

She explained:

It’s not a huge shock for me. Of course, I live in the bubble of my own reality, but for those who aren’t aware there has been a rampage of vitriol that we have faced since the show was even announced. When it was still just a concept and no one had even seen it.

That’s when we started experiencing a rampage of, I would say, hyper-conservative bigotry and vitriol, prejudice, hatred, and hateful language toward us.

And you know this really affected me when I first got the job because it’s just not something, even though I anticipated it happening, it’s not something you can fully understand what it feels like until it’s happening to you.

Yet while Stenberg, who has previously admitted she makes films with the hope that white people will cry, may seek to shift the blame onto conservatives for turning their nose up at a show that featured lesbian space witches, the simple fact of the matter was that audiences hated it.

Despite receiving largely positive reviews from left-wing critics, the show had a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 28 percent, meaning the overwhelming majority did not feel the same way.

Will Disney, which paid a staggering $4 billion for the rights to the iconic Star Wars franchise back in 2012, ever learn its lesson? If past performance is anything to go by, the answer is almost certainly no.

Election Odds Update: How Did Kamala Harris’ Widely Panned CNN Interview Affect Her?

Election Odds Update: How Did Kamala Harris’ Widely Panned CNN Interview Affect Her?
August 30, 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris’ much-anticipated CNN interview on Thursday did not go as she would have hoped, at least according to presidential election oddsmakers.

Newsweek reported, “The vice president went from being the favorite to win with odds of 10/11 (52.4 percent) on Thursday to tied with Donald Trump on 19/20 (51.3 percent) each on Friday morning, according to the Star Sports betting company.”

“Over the same period, Trump’s odds of victory in November improved from 21/20 (48.8 percent) before the interview to 20/21 (51.2 percent), according to U.K. based bookmaker Betfair,” the outlet noted.

Star Sports betting analyst William Kedjanyi also spoke to Newsweek.

“Vice President Harris is now tied at 19/20 with Republican candidate Donald Trump, drifting slightly from 10/11 yesterday,” the analyst said. “The Californian had been 5/6 in recent weeks but she has failed to surge ahead of Trump in the market.”

Kedjanyi added: “GOP supporters will hope Trump can now go on to tip the balance in his favor, before November’s presidential election.”

Forbes pointed out that while Trump was behind Harris by about 2 points among bookmakers following the Democratic National Convention last week, but then gained some ground over the past week following Robert F. Kennedy’s endorsement of the Republican last Friday.

“Bettors on the crypto-based betting platform Polymarket are giving Trump slightly better odds of 50% to Harris’ 49%, while predicting both candidates have a roughly equal chance of winning the swing state of Pennsylvania,” Forbes said.

After all the glitz and glamour at the DNC last week, the visuals of the CNN interview made Harris look small, and not unlike the Wizard of Oz, created a “person behind the curtain”-effect.

Spectator editor-at-large Ben Domenech noted, “Television is mostly about visuals. Whoever set up this visual is terrible at their job. Bad lighting, makeup, hair, color choice, Walz’s collar askew, angle making Kamala look small, water cup center shot, off the rack poorly fitting suit… this whole thing just looks bad.”

Then there was her body language, which was telling. GOP Rep. Byron Donalds did a good job on Fox News Friday articulating the message she was sending.

“Forget all the things that she said,” Donalds contended. “People go back and watch her body language.”

“When you ask her about her policies and the flip-flopping, she’s looking down, she’s looking small. She doesn’t look like she has confidence in what she’s saying, because she doesn’t believe it,” the congressman continued. “She’s trying to remember what they coached her to say.”

“That is not the leadership that our country needs in this pressing hour. We need Donald J. Trump,” Donalds concluded.

Most rational folks learn to take what politicians say with a grain of salt, but when a candidate is making major policies flips just a few months out from Election Day, buyer (especially) beware.

Harris said she now backs building a border wall, opposes the banning of fracking, and is not pushing for Medicare-for-All as she did as a presidential candidate in 2019.

CNN’s Dana Bash raised the issue of major policy flips in the interview.

“How should voters look at some of the changes that you’ve made, that you’ve explained some of here in your policy? Is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary?” Bash asked.

“Should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?” the CNN host further queried.

Harris responded, “I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed.”

That’s all you need to know.

Her values will equal her policies. Harris herself offered the perfect example to prove the point.

Having co-sponsored the multi-trillion dollar Green New Deal as a senator, as vice president she cast the tie-breaking vote in the Inflation Reduction Act in August 2022.

“You mention the Green New Deal. I have always believed — and I have worked on it — that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time. We did that with the Inflation Reduction Act. … That value has not changed,” Harris told Bash.

By the way, the “green” initiatives included in the IRA are costing almost three times more than the administration forecast, Bloomberg reported in August 2023.

In April 2023, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, working with the investment firm Goldman Sachs, updated their estimated cost of the legislation’s green initiatives from $385 billion over a 10-year period to more than $1 trillion.

The CNN interview, her first sit down interview since becoming a presidential candidate 40 days ago, did not go well for Harris, and the oddsmakers and the voting population at large could readily see it.
