Ricky Pearsall, who currently plays as a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL), is the latest victim of San Francisco’s rampant violent crime.

He was shot during a robbery in San Francisco’s Union Square neighborhood on Saturday.

The 23-year-old rookie first-round pick, fresh off an impressive college run at Arizona State and Florida, was reportedly targeted for his Rolex watch.

KTVU-FOX 2 journalist reported, “Ricky Pearsall was reportedly shot in a robbery attempt over his Rolex watch in downtown San Francisco according to sources. We don’t know his condition.”

Right now San Francisco Police are working an incident in Union Square where 2 people were reportedly shot. It has not been confirmed this is the Pearsall incident.

Pearsall, who just returned to practice last Monday after missing the majority of training camp with a shoulder injury, was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspect is in custody, according to a statement from Supervisor Aaron Peskin’s office per NBC News.

This afternoon, there was an attempted robbery in Union Square involving San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and he was shot.

SFPD was on scene immediately and an arrest of the shooter was made.

In one of the most brazen examples of “rules for thee, but not for me,” Brazilian President Lula’s ‘Workers Party’ continues to post repeatedly on X, despite yesterday’s implementation of Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes’ nationwide ban against the social media platform.

Hundreds of millions of citizens are now blocked from accessing their accounts after Lula’s feud with Elon Musk reached a tipping point on Friday when the socialist tyrant implemented the ban. Supposedly, the only way around this firewall is by using a VPN, however, if anyone is caught accessing the platform, they face heavy fines.

The ruling specifically mentioned Proton VPN, Express VPN, NordVPN, Surfshark, TOTALVPN, Atlas VPN, and Bitdefender VPN. De Moraes imposed fines of up to $8,874 a day for any user found using VPNs in Brazil.

Repeat offenders would likely face even worse repercussions. As has been demonstrated thoroughly, Brazil’s current government has proven it will go that extra mile to silence dissent.

This, however, is of no concern to the tyrants within the Lula regime. Since going into effect, ‘PT Brasil‘, the X account representing the ruling socialist party, has not skipped a beat in delivering its regularly scheduled lineup of propaganda.

President Trump and Special Counsel Jack Smith presented opposing arguments for how the January 6 case will proceed in a joint status report filed late Friday night ahead of a status conference scheduled for September 5.

On Tuesday Jack Smith indicted President Trump AGAIN in DC following the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity.

As TGP reported last week, Special Counsel Jack Smith opted out of holding a ‘mini trial’ before the November election and is ‘carefully revising’ the January 6 case against Trump following the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling according to a leak to Bloomberg.

Jack Smith’s prosecutors presented evidence to a new grand jury in order to recalibrate the case after the Supreme Court ruled Trump is immune from prosecution for ‘official acts’ as president.

The grand jury indicted Trump on the same four charges that were unveiled last August: Conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

Trump’s lawyers argued that Trump is immune from federal prosecution for alleged ‘crimes’ committed while he served as US President.

In Jack Smith’s indictment last August, prosecutors asserted that President Trump sought to use the DOJ to help him overturn the results of the 2020 election.

In the new 36-page indictment, Jack Smith’s prosecutors claim Trump’s actions were not ‘official acts’ because his rally was privately funded and “privately organized.”

Jack Smith dropped Trump’s top DOJ official Jeffrey Clark from the superseding indictment based on the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling.

In the new indictment, Federal prosecutors argued that Trump used his X/Twitter account for “personal purposes.”

In the joint status report filed Friday night, Jack Smith argued that presidential immunity set forth in Trump does not apply to the categories in the superseding indictment that federal prosecutors will introduce at trial.

“The Government proposes that it file an opening brief in which it will explain why the immunity set forth in Trump does not apply to the categories of allegations in the superseding indictment or additional unpled categories of evidence that the Government intends to introduce at trial and will proffer in its brief,” Jack Smith’s prosecutors wrote in the joint status report reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

Trump’s lawyers came out swinging in the status report, dismantled Jack Smith’s superseding indictment and asserted that President Trump will move to dismiss the Special Counsel’s improper appointment and use of non-appropriated funds.

President Trump’s proposed pre-trial schedule:

“President Trump holds the right to challenge the new indictment, and the underlying grand jury process, as a matter of law,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.

“Here, President Trump is considering several challenges to the Superseding Indictment, each of which should be resolved in his favor as a matter of law and would obviate the need for further proceedings,” Trump’s attorneys wrote.

“We believe, and expect to demonstrate, that this case must end as a matter of law,” they said.

Trump’s lawyers argued that the former president is immune from prosecution following the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity.

Additionally, Trump’s attorneys pointed out that the Supreme Court already determined that his communications with then-Vice President Mike Pence were “presumptively immune.”

“Namely, in Trump, the Supreme Court held that President Trump is “at least presumptively immune from prosecution for” all alleged efforts “to pressure the Vice President to take particular acts in connection with his role at the certification proceeding.”” Trump’s lawyers said.

However, Jack Smith kept Trump’s communications with Mike Pence in his superseding indictment.

“In addition, while continuing to strongly maintain that many classes of conduct alleged in the Superseding Indictment are immune—including, but not limited to, Tweets and public statements about the federal 2020 Presidential election, communications with state officials about the federal election, and allegations relating to alternate slates of electors—President Trump may file a motion to dismiss focused specifically on the Special Counsel’s improper use of allegations related to Vice President Pence, along with other potential key threshold motions,” Trump’s lawyers said.

Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee, will decide how the case proceeds after the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity ruling.

A status conference is scheduled for September 5.

A Baltimore man received a life sentence for the brutal 2023 murder of tech entrepreneur Pava LaPere, authorities announced.

Jason Billingsley, 33, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder on Friday. He received three life sentences for killing Pava LaPere, raping April Hurley, and attempting to murder Hurley and her male friend.

The New York post reports,

A career criminal, Billingsley was released from prison after a first-degree sex offense conviction before he went on a brutal rampage in Baltimore.

“This defendant should have never been released into the community following a first-degree sex offense conviction to inflict immense trauma, pain, and sorrow on so many individuals in such a short amount of time,” said State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates.

“These cases inspired our legislation to eliminate diminution credits for first-degree sex offenders.”

On Sept. 19, 2023, Billingsley posed as maintenance staff and knocked on the door of the apartment of Hurley and her friend in the early morning hours, Bates said.

Billingsley kicked the door in, held Hurley down, sexually assaulted her and slashed her throat, the state’s attorney said.

Billingsley poured accelerant on the couple and the apartment and set it on fire, according to Bates. They both survived.

Six days later, LaPere was reported missing before cops found her body on the roof of her Mount Vernon apartment building, along with a brick.

Surveillance footage captured Pava LaPere, co-founder of EcoMap Technologies, standing up from the lobby couch at 10:32 p.m. to let Billingsley in.

They were then seen entering the elevator together.

At 11:08 p.m., Billingsley exited the building alone. The medical examiner determined her death was a homicide caused by strangulation and blunt force trauma.

Pava LaPere, once honored on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list for social impact, started her eco-focused company straight from her dorm room at Johns Hopkins University.

On Friday, April Hurley and LaPere’s family stood alongside State’s Attorney Ivan Bates at a news conference to discuss Jason Billingsley’s guilty pleas and his life sentences.

“Every day, I have flashbacks and triggers that cause terrible anxiety, pain and stress,” Hurley reportedly said.

“I will never be the same person.”

“If it weren’t for God and my will to be alive, I wouldn’t be standing here today,” she said.

Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters appeared on “Fox and Friends” on Saturday to discuss the importance of patriotism. He said that new policies would be put in place to encourage and protect students who want to show their patriotism.

He said that under the new policies, students would not be punished, but instead encouraged to embrace patriotism. This response was largely due to a high school student, Caleb Horst, being the target of anti-patriotic staff at Edmond High School earlier this month, forcing him to remove an American Flag on display in his pickup truck.

Oklahoma State School Superintendent Ryan Walters told the Fox News Channel that his school district would be enacting new policies to allow students to show their patriotism after an Oklahoma high school student was forced to remove an American flag from his truck by school staff earlier this month.

Walters spoke on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Saturday to declare that under new state school guidelines, no student will be punished for displaying the flag or showing their patriotism. Rather, they will be encouraged to love their country and better understand its founding.

“We’re not going to tolerate this anti-Americanism,” Walters told “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Pete Hegseth.

“Brand new guidelines will make schools across Oklahoma ensure flags can be flown and that students recite the Pledge of Allegiance at least once a week,” Hegseth said.

“What’s your stance in Oklahoma?” Hegseth asked.

“We are not gonna tolerate this anti-Americanism. We’ve seen it being pushed by the Biden administration, by the teacher’s unions, by the radical left. We are not tolerating it in our schools. We want patriots, we want our students flying the American flag. Here is the reality, that is a flag that so many have died for,” Walters said.

“We want our kids to love that flag, love this country, so we have acted swiftly to say that this will never happen again, every single school in the state will protect the students right to fly that flag,” Walters continued.

“The Pledge of Allegiance is required to be said once a week as well, right?” Hegseth asked.

“That’s right, look we need to be saying the pledge,” Walters responded.

“We need more patriotism. We have seen our schools become leftist indoctrination mills pushing hatred for country. That’s not gonna happen in Oklahoma,” Walters continued.

“What’s the response been?” Hegseth asked regarding adding the Bible in the curriculum.

“The Bible is gonna be back in classrooms here in Oklahoma. We will absolutely talk about the impact the Bible had throughout our history,” Walters responded.
