Gateway Hispanic had the opportunity to be present at the closing of CPAC Mexico 2024, which ended with an important announcement regarding the political future of the Viva México Movement, led by the actor and former independent presidential candidate.

Verástegui announced the imminent formation of a political party to compete in Mexico’s upcoming elections.

The President of CPAC Mexico literally said the following:

“This is the only way we can take up space in decision-making. Soon, the restoration and new construction of Mexico’s future will begin, because, as we all know, there are only two paths: One, the myth of the fourth transformation, or two, the right path of true freedom.”

Additionally, the actor highlighted Mexico’s wealth, its culture, and its tradition, stressing that progress must not be slow. “The DNA of Mexicans shows us another path. We are not barnyard fowl. MEXICO IS A COUNTRY OF GOLDEN EAGLES, AND WE CAN FLY AS HIGH AS WE WANT—THE SKY IS THE LIMIT,” he emphasized enthusiastically.

He closed with a very inspiring phrase:

“Let’s dream big, family. I dream of a Mexico where God is at the center of our nation and where human dignity is respected. I dream of a day when no immigrant has to leave our country out of necessity or lack of opportunities. I dream of a safe and violence-free Mexico where parents don’t fear for their children’s lives. I dream of a country where we recognize that we are all equal in dignity, and where life is respected from conception to natural death.”

Despite never actually using her name, the Indiana Fever recently put out a report that all but puts a shining spotlight on their star rookie, Caitlin Clark.

The official release came out Aug. 14 and boldly boasted about how the team’s “Fans Are Engaging with the Indiana Fever in Record Numbers.”

The Fever bragged about a number of team milestones as it returned from the Olympics break (where a number of WNBA players — though none from the Fever — won the gold medal in women’s basketball).

“Women’s basketball has exploded in popularity, and more fans are tuning in, packing arenas, and engaging in social media to watch their favorite teams and players,” the Fever stated. “Indiana in particular has been the epicenter of the sport with fans engaging with the Fever and their young stars in new ways, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down as the team makes a push to return to the WNBA playoffs this season.”

While never mentioning her by name, it’s pretty notable that one of the key differences between the Fever last year and this year is the presence of Clark — whose nuclear superstardom has already generated quite a bit of jealousy and a tinge of racial animus in the league.

But those aren’t the only things Clark has helped generate.

“The Fever lead the League in attendance for both home and away games with more than 186,000 fans attending a Fever home game since the season tipped off in May, the highest total in franchise history and a 265 percent increase in attendance from last season,” the Fever release stated.

It added: “Four Fever home games this season have set single-game records for sales at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Team Store, and the Team Store has experienced a jump of more than 1,000 percent in net sales.”

Perhaps just as impressively, the Fever boasted about how it was hanging with much bigger, much more successful sports leagues in certain arenas.

“The Fever hold the top spots in the League in social media engagement, video views, followers gained, and total followers and since April, the Fever have had more than 800M video views across platforms,” the release said. “The team is ranked first among teams in the WNBA, NBA, NFL, NHL, or MLB in video consumption in that span.”

All of this buzz was enough for Sportico, an outlet focused on sports business more so than sports itself, to outright call these huge numbers a direct result of the “Caitlin Clark effect.”

And, again, that description is hard to argue with.

Clark’s arrival has been a veritable boon for the WNBA, and her on-court rivalries with the likes of Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese and (apparently) the entire Phoenix Mercury squad has ignited genuine interest in a product that had been struggling to maintain any sort of foothold with sports fans over the years.

It does need to be noted that Clark is very deserving of this adulation and these accolades.

Unlike some of her more shameless peers, Clark’s game is actually efficient and skilled.

Yes, her turnovers are an issue, and yes, she’s not a lockdown defender, but her offensive brilliance (historic offensive brilliance, by the way) is rare for anyone — let alone a precocious 22-year-old — to have in basketball.

For all the aforementioned good buzz, however, Clark and the Fever are scrapping for one of the final few playoff spots.

Indiana will next look to keep those playoff hopes alive on Monday, when the team travels to Atlanta to face the Dream.

The attack from RINOs against President Trump and America has never stopped. These people hate America and love power. They treat Americans like they know best and the rest of the country is insignificant. This leads to the conglomeration of RINOs and communist Democrats being referred to as the Uniparty.

We saw RINOs at work in Texas as they tried to remove the best state attorney general in the country last year. Paxton fought back and won. Now he’s going after the RINOs.

On Saturday in Michigan at the GOP Convention Karamo was exited out of the building. She had every right to be there. This is how RINOs treat MAGA supporters.

In Florida this past week, grassroots MAGA Republicans lost in primaries where mail-in ballots were dropped at the last minute.

(Note that the MAGA Republicans are Trump’s base and a supermajority in the GOP. Any results where they don’t win are questionable.)

In South Carolina over the weekend, more anti-MAGA establishment corruption occurred. MAGA Republican Keith Blandford reported:

So the establishment was truly terrible yesterday. They blocked our motions and resolutions to force them to recognize the RNC decision for reinstatement. They blocked my nomination as an elector. And they placed a RINO as 3rd vice chair without anyone in the State voting for them. It was a very bad day.

MAGA Republican Ron Hanks in Colorado, shared the following with us:

As detailed in the article regarding the removal of Karamo, there is an effort this very day to remove the Colorado GOP elected officials and put in the retread RINOs.

It is outside of the rules, and illegitimate, but it is succeeding so far. At this unauthorized meeting they have made quorum, changed rules and voted out the secretary. They are currently working to remove the vice chair, and will then remove the chair. All three of those elected officials are MAGA.

What is transpiring should not hold up in a court of law, but it could, given the weaponization.

Trump had an opportunity to get some very solid allies in the US House. Mike Johnson snuck in and has 3 very anti-Trump candidates in 4 of the congressional races Republicans might win. They may only win 2, possibly 3, if elections are not manipulated beyond credulity of the low-information public.

If Trump wins, he will have little to no support from the Colorado delegation.

In Missouri, more of the same after state RINOs attempted to remove the MAGA delegation from the GOP Convention. (More to come on more recent events.)

How better to win: Bottom up and top down. We’ve been battling valiantly and successfully to win from the bottom up – akin to storming the beach at Normandy. Sadly, to date, we haven’t had the help from the top down (air power). That has blunted our success and caused some loss of ground painfully won.

But the tables do turn, I know (and hope). The weeks ahead will outrage Americans and a lot (not all) of apathy will fade.
