Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.), the sole Democrat who dared to challenge President Biden during the tumultuous 2024 Democratic primary, has expressed a willingness to serve in either a Democrat or Republican administration.

Earlier this year, The Gateway Pundit reported that Phillips told the story of how he recently went to his first Trump rally. He was amazed at how friendly and diverse the crowd was.

“I’ve got to tell you guys; I went to a Donald Trump rally a couple of nights ago. Never been to one. I had an event across the street. I saw the line of people waiting in the cold for hours and I thought, what the heck, you know, I’m going to be a leader who actually invites people, doesn’t condemn them, I met probably 50 Trump people waiting in line,” he said.

“Every single one of them, thoughtful, hospitable, friendly, all of them so frustrated that they feel nobody’s listening to them but Donald Trump. A diverse crowd. People who had never been to a Trump event before. My party is completely delusional right now, and somebody had to wake us up. And if that’s my job, so be it.”

During an interview with Laura Ingraham last week on the sidelines of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, he said he should have been a Republican.

Speaking to Fox News Digital last week, Phillips also emphasized his desire to “help this country in some way, shape or form.” He suggested to that he would accept an invitation to serve in both a Democrat and a Republican administration. 

“I didn’t want to run this cycle. I spent two years trying to call attention to something I was seeing clearly with my own eyes,” he said.

“I remember my Republican buddies excoriating Donald Trump quietly behind closed doors and then praising him in front of cameras. I saw my Democratic colleagues doing the same thing about Joe Biden, who we knew was in decline, probably going to lose,” he added.

“This was not about running for president. This was about showing people that it is never too late, and you should sit up and stand up and do something when you feel that something is wrong. And I did that,” he told Fox.

“If there is a way to serve my country in a Democratic administration — in a Republican administration — my goodness, we should all stand up and accept that invitation whenever it is issued… So, you never know.”

However, Phillips was clear that policy would be the driving factor in his decision-making.

“Americans remember how they feel. They remember how they feel. They want to feel excited, safe, joyful, optimistic and a lot of that results from policy,” he said.

“As it relates to policy, yeah, we have a border crisis. I’ve seen it twice with my own eyes. We also have to be a welcoming country, as Ronald Reagan would say,” Phillips said. “We have to be a country that has an economy that works for people. Sixty percent of people are living paycheck to paycheck. It doesn’t matter what party you are — we failed a lot of people. Our healthcare system is a mess. This is America,” he concluded.

Former CNN host Chris Cuomo might be no longer employed by one of the country’s premier liberal propagandists, but he’s proving one thing:

He can’t handle the truth.

And conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly speaking the truth about Vice President Kamala Harris was a case in point.

In a clash after the close of Thursday’s Democratic convention — a clash that turned bitterly personal at points — O’Reilly and Cuomo, now with NewsNation, hammered at each other over the Democratic nominee’s wafer-thin keynote address, which O’Reilly graded a “C.”

Harris’ speech had no specifics, O’Reilly pointed out, offered no solutions to the problems facing the country, and amounted to basically a “liberal Democratic line.”

The former Fox News host then told the brutal truth about Harris:

“She wants power. She wants to be president. She doesn’t do press. She doesn’t answer questions,” he said.

In other words, she’s demanding power without designing to tell the American people what she intends to do with it, and how.

He also detailed how Harris’ speech was rife with untruths about her opponent, former President Donald Trump.

“I don’t want to be lied to, Cuomo,” O’Reilly said. “I don’t care where it is!”

Cuomo, whose look of bored irritation while O’Reilly was speaking showed all the inherent liberalism that made him such a star for CNN before he was ousted, went on the attack.

He implicitly accused O’Reilly of being both ignorant and naive for expecting anything different from a candidate’s convention speech and, on the subject Harris’ comments about the Supreme Court and abortion, basically called O’Reilly stupid.

O’Reilly shot back.

“Is that all you got?” he said. “That I sound like an idiot?”

Check it out here. It’s almost 13 minutes long, but it’s an exchange that really needs to be seen to be believed (and appreciated).

Boiled down, the clash illustrated the 2024 campaign nicely.

On the Republican side, there are Trump supporters — and even non-Trump supporters who simply aren’t blinded by propaganda — who have watched while the Biden-Harris administration has played havoc with the country for the past four years on illegal immigration, on the economy, on foreign policy.

And they’ve watched that administration being cosseted by an establishment media more devoted to protecting the Democratic agenda than informing the American public.

On the Democratic side are the true believers (like the ones in Harris’ audience at Chicago’s United Center) and the leftist lie peddlers like Cuomo, who will seize virtually any opportunity to attack Trump while proffering no real defense of their candidate or her policies because they don’t think they need to.

Harris’ speech was so full of deception that it was called out by establishment media outlets like The Washington Post, USA Today and The New York Times (and it’s a rare occasion indeed when O’Reilly is on the same side as those publications).

Cuomo’s defense, such as it was, was to attack Trump — and by extension, O’Reilly — while pretending that a convention speech was no standard by which to judge a candidate.

Near the end of the video, O’Reilly summed up the conversation succinctly:

“This woman has no specifics, but you excuse it because she’s in party mode. Bull!” he said.

“We’re at a very serious point in our history. We need problem-solving,” he said. “This woman won’t answer a question from any journalist. That alone tells you what her capacity is.”

That it does.

And the whole exchange showed that Chris Cuomo’s capacity for the truth hasn’t changed even since he left the liberal bubble of CNN.

He still can’t handle it.

Pavel Durov, 39, was arrested on the tarmac as he got off his private jet from Azerbaijan.

Elon Musk weighed in on the frightening attack on free speech in a post on X and took the opportunity to slam Facebook’s  Mark Zuckerberg for caving to censorship pressure.

Initially, hours after Durov’s arrest, Musk wrote “#FreePavel” on X hours.

When asked why Zuckerberg hasn’t been arrested for similar allegations as those faced by Pavel, Musk responded, “Because he already caved into censorship pressure.”

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday to discuss the Presidential election. Among the topics discussed were the economy and the border.

“Kamala Harris hasn’t discussed anything of substance to this point,” Donalds said.

“Kamala Harris cannot run from Joe Biden. I know she is trying to run as a prosecutor, but her current title is Vice President of the United States, and she was riding shotgun with Joe Biden creating one of the worst economies for working families and middle-class families in the history of our country, while leaving our southern border wide open to more than 10 million illegal immigrants,” Donalds said.

“I believe that Donald Trump is well positioned to win this race,” Donalds continued.

Rep Donalds also explained that the Democrats had control for 12 of the last 16 years and that times of prosperity were under President Trump.

“The Democrats have been in charge of the country for 12 of the last 16 years, and the only time period of them 16 years that have actually worked for the American people is when Donald Trump was President of the United States. That’s when our economy was flourishing,” Donalds said.

“And that’s when we had no new conflicts and no new wars. It was under Donald Trump. Whether it’s Obama, Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, poor people and working families have fallen behind,” Donalds continued.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially suspended his presidential campaign on Friday and endorsed President Trump, marking an unprecedented alliance between a prominent Democrat and the MAGA movement.

During an interview with Shannon Bream on Fox News, RFK Jr. revealed, “I’m gonna be campaigning actively” with Trump, emphasizing his commitment to “Make America Healthy Again.”

Kennedy teased significant upcoming announcements, hinting that President Trump will soon reveal other Democrats who are joining his campaign. “President Trump is going to make a series of announcements of other Democrats who are joining his campaign.

“I’m going to be campaigning actively. I think President Trump is going to make a series of announcements about other Democrats who are joining his campaign,” he said.

TGP reported earlier that Robert Kennedy, Jr., tweeted that his endorsement “is only the beginning.”

And Kennedy then added, “Wait till you see the next additions to President Trump’s Unity Government.”

During the interview with Bream, RFK Jr. revealed that President Trump had reached out to him following the recent assassination attempt on his life.

Their conversations have focused on critical issues that resonate with many Americans: ending the Ukraine war, combating censorship, and prioritizing children’s health through reforming the food supply.

“We need in this country to reach a point where we love our children more than we hate each other,” he passionately asserted.

In addressing potential roles within a future Trump administration, RFK Jr. made it clear that while no formal commitments have been made, his focus would be on reforming corrupt institutions like the FDA and CDC, which he claims have been co-opted by pharmaceutical interests at the expense of public health.

Shannon Bream: "Have you all negotiated over or talked about a cabinet position, another position within a Trump government, in exchange for your endorsement?"

RFK Jr.: "No. There have been no commitments. But I met with President Trump, with his family, with his closest advisors, and we just made a general commitment that we were going to work together."

RFK Jr. also addressed his strategy regarding ballot access in swing states. He plans to withdraw from ballots in approximately ten key states where his candidacy could inadvertently aid Kamala Harris while remaining on ballots in more solidly partisan states.

Shannon Bream: "What about the states where you're trying to get off of a number of swing state ballots? You say, 'I'm going to stay on a number of state ballots, but in these swing states, I'm going to try to withdraw myself and ask my supporters, or at least you're telling them, think about supporting President Trump.' Did you negotiate over which states you would try to withdraw from?"

RFK Jr.: "Yeah, we all knew which states they were. There are basically 10 swing states where my presence in the race would have helped Vice President Harris and would have harmed President Trump. So I'm going to get off the ballot in those states, and then we're going to stay on the ballot in 30 states. I'm encouraging people to vote for me in those states. Those are states where the votes—they're either all red or all blue states—states where their votes are not going to change the outcome of the race. But in the states where I would have been a spoiler, I'm going to get out. So it's about 10 states."
