The soft-on-crime policies of the Democrat Party led by Kamala Harris continue to unleash terror on law-abiding citizens.

The New York Post reported on Friday that a group of nine teens viciously attacked a 62-year-old man during his evening walk.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Howard Avenue and Clove Road in the Sunnyside neighborhood just after 7 p.m. on July 15.

Surveillance cameras captured footage of one perpetrator rushing up behind the man. The man responded by jumping into the middle of a busy street to avoid getting pounded.

The rest of the group then chased him across the road. They eventually catch up to him and laugh while beating him viciously.

The victim was left with multiple injuries, including bruises on his knee and stitches in one of his fingers. Silive.com reported that the man was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton.

He has so far racked up approximately $5,000 in medical expenses for his injuries according to silive.com.

“His mouth is all messed up. He was blindsided and kicked all over his body,” a relative of the victim revealed to silive.com. “He fell flat on his face, not expecting anybody to hit him.”

The victim said he thought the unruly group would just play a joke on him based on one of their actions.

“He raised his fists and said, ‘Pick one,’ and I said, ‘Not interested,’” he explained to NBC New York. “I thought it was just a kid joking around.”

Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella condemned the senseless violence and noted the incident could have ended with the victim getting killed.

“He was just minding his business on a beautiful summer night, walking down the street, and he ended up surrounded by a pack of individuals,” said Fossella. “He ended up running across Clove Road — he could have gotten killed, hit by a car.”

“The point is that it could have been anybody’s grandfather or grandmother just walking down the street minding their own business, and they’re assaulted, and that is just intolerable,” he added.

The victim is afraid to venture outside and wants to move from Staten Island.

“I wanna leave here, I no longer want to live here,” he said.

This translated from naval to commercial efforts, supplying Anglo-American colonists with all kinds of provisions and securing important victories inland.

This complex strategy was successful thanks to the economic sacrifice of many parts of the Hispanic Monarchy, from Málaga to Havana, with the participation of soldiers from present-day Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Peru. It also involved alliances with North American Indian nations, Africans, Acadians, and Irish, among others, forging a human melting pot that perhaps foreshadowed the future of the United States.

Today, some people around the world dare to denigrate Hispanics and label them as backward people.

Historically, both European Spain and Spanish America were lands of promise. Lands of great advances, discoveries, and innovation. Places where the first grammars were written, the first universities and churches were founded, and where human rights first originated with the Laws of the Indies, which not only protected the rights of the natives but also, thanks to Queen Isabella the Catholic, encouraged miscegenation and invited Spaniards to marry indigenous people.

Additionally, from the late 16th century to the early 19th century, Spain welcomed many Irish who fled English anti-Catholic persecution, with both the Habsburgs and Bourbons making all kinds of efforts to naturalize them on Spanish soil. Likewise, Greeks and Armenians also found their home in Spain during those centuries, fleeing from Muslims. Greeks were present in the foundations of Lima and Quito, as well as in the expeditions to Florida.

Speaking of Florida, the memory of Fort Mose still survives. This was a settlement formed in the 18th century, largely by black people who escaped from the Anglo-Saxon colonies. They were welcomed under Spanish law, and became formidable fighters against the British.

And many Creoles of French origin, as well as Franco-Canadians who were expelled by the British, found their home in Spanish Louisiana.

We need to be clear, the constant denigration and poor image or reputation that some want to use against us Hispanics through the Black Legend (this isn’t just a left-wing phenomenon) makes no sense and is not related to history or truth.

It’s quite the opposite: among Hispanics, closed-minded racial classifications don’t hold, and what has emerged over time is our cultural strength and the overcoming of contradictions.

Although there was a violent and traumatic rupture with the Hispanic Monarchy, a rupture in cultural terms has never occurred. This is precisely something that should motivate us to continue the fight into the 21st century.

Hispanics can and should be the salvation of America, but that requires honoring our past and knowing our history.

Additionally, we must reject being used as weapons of war to carry out attacks or an invasion against the nation that welcomes us and allows us to live in freedom, while socialism of the 21st century suffocates us and plunges us into misery in our own countries.

Feds threatening to sue local governments, law enforcement agencies across the country that have implemented measures to curb an epidemic of crime, drugs and gang violence in rental properties.

Housing security programs that limit options for criminals are unfair, target minorities, and must be dismantled, according to the Biden-Harris Department of Justice.

Kristen Clarke, the controversial appointee who got into trouble after falsely claiming to the U.S. Senate she never had been arrested, deliberately omitting her record from a domestic disturbance, claims programs that aim to keep crime out of housing developments are wrong.

A report from Judicial Watch explains the Biden-Harris duo is “threatening – and has sued – local governments and law enforcement agencies across the country “that have implemented measures to curb an epidemic of crime, drugs and gang violence in rental properties.”

The programs, Clarke has claimed, penalize communities of color and that’s unfair.

“The popular laws, enacted by thousands of cities nationwide are commonly known as ‘crime-free’ and ‘nuisance’ programs that restrict housing based on criminal and arrest records and punish landlords and tenants with excessive calls to police and emergency services or those engaged in criminal activity,” the report said.

“To improve living conditions in mainly low-income rentals 2,000 cities across 48 states have adopted crime-free and nuisance policies,” the report noted.

But Clarke’s DOJ claims they are “discriminatory.”

“Even when well-intentioned, these programs can disrupt lives, force families into homelessness and result in loss of jobs, schooling and opportunities for people who are disproportionately low-income people of color – all in violation of federal law,” Clarke has claimed.

“These programs can also discourage people with disabilities and their loved ones from seeking help during a mental health crisis and prevent victims of domestic violence from seeking the protection they desperately need.”

She’s promised the federal government, using taxpayer funding, will keep up its fight over such programs

The DOJ actually also added some bragging, noting that several cities have had to pay up under its prosecutions, for things including civil penalties, damages and lawyers’ fees.

The report cited Hesperia, California, which changed its practices and paid some $1 million after the DOJ sued.

“Faribault, Minnesota doled out nearly $700,000 to settle its federal case and is prohibited from enforcing the types of criminal history that may be considered by private landlords when screening tenants. Bedford, Ohio repealed its laws after dishing out a $350,000 monetary award. Hemet, California got rid of its measures and was forced to create a $200,000 remediation fund. Anoka, Minnesota made “substantial program amendments” and paid $175,000 to settle with the DOJ,” the report said.
