Kamala Harris has yet to schedule a formal interview or press conference even after being crowned the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, but she did take a few softball questions following her acceptance speech Thursday night.

Harris was brought by a gaggle of reporters after delivering her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention held at the United Center in Chicago. Harris was accompanied by her husband Doug Emhoff, vice presidential running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and wife Gwen Walz.

While walking through a backstage tunnel, Harris first encountered NBC News White House reporters Kelly O’Donnell and Peter Alexander who both congratulated Harris and Emhoff but did not ask any challenging questions. Kelly asked Harris, “Madame Vice President, how do you feel tonight?” Harris replied, “I feel good, now on to tomorrow,” followed by her usual laughter.

Harris asked Alexander, who was standing next to O’Donnell, how his father is doing while shaking his hand with both of her hands. Alexander’s response and his question to Harris could not be heard over the din in the hallway, but Harris’ answer indicated it was not a challenging question: “…Good, it felt good. I mean, listen, we’ve got seventy-five days to go. So, maybe for better and for worse that’s the way I am. Like, that was good, now we gotta move on.” Alexander replied, “You got to enjoy one night.”

Harris was very animated while talking with Alexander, smiling, laughing, waving her arms and gesticulating.

It was all very chummy for someone who was just awarded a presidential nomination without conducting a press conference or sit-down interview–or receiving one vote in a primary.

Harris then approached Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy who also congratulated Harris but asked a challenging question that Harris dodged:

Doocy: “Madam Vice President.”

Harris, while offering a quick handshake with Doocy, “Hi Peter, how are you?”

Doocy: “Congratulations.”

Harris: “Thank you. Good to see you.”

Doocy: “Are you ready for your Fox News interview?”

Harris, laughing as she walked away but looking back at Doocy,: “I’m working towards it!”

Harris also waved her arms and gesticulated as she answered Doocy. Emhoff also briefly spoke with and shook hands with Doocy.

Two weeks ago, Harris told reporters during a short gaggle that she wanted to schedule an interview by the end of August.

There is one week left in August. Harris, who struggles to speak coherently in unscripted settings, has zero incentives to do an interview as she is polling well, donations are flooding in and the mainstream media–as evidenced by the NBC reporters–is happy to fluff her campaign.

UPDATE: NBC News reported Saturday a joint interview with Harris and Walz is in the works for next week as part of a post convention campaign kickoff, but what network or news outlet is not known (excerpt):

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will launch a bus tour of southern Georgia next week, the duo’s first time campaigning in the state together and, as of now, their first public event after the Democratic convention in Chicago.

The pair will be using the momentum from the party’s convention to drive them into the last couple months of the general election. In addition to the bus tour, Harris and Walz are expected to tape their first joint interview next week and attend multiple fundraisers, most likely to take place in New York, California, Florida and Georgia, according to two sources familiar with the planning.

Following the tour, Harris will headline a solo rally in Savannah, Georgia. The trip will mark Harris’ seventh visit to the state this year and her second since launching her presidential campaign last month.

The Democrat-Deep State-media complex has thrown everything at President Trump to stop him from winning the 2024 election.

Last August Donald Trump was arrested and booked as inmate number P01135809 at the Fulton County jail after Marxist DA Fani Willis coordinated with federal officials to lock up Biden’s main political rival.

Trump checked himself in at the Fulton County jail after Fani Willis hit him with RICO charges.

Fast-forward nearly one year after the arrest and Trump survives an assassination attempt.

On July 13 President Trump was shot in the ear by would-be assassin Thomas Crooks.

A bullet grazed President Trump’s ear during his Pennsylvania rally. One rallygoer was fatally struck in the head. Two other rally attendees were wounded, one critically.

Trump, with blood dripping down his face defied death and raised his fist shouting, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier today that an “Arab-looking” man attacked several people who were celebrating the ‘virtues’ of diversity at a major festival in Germany Friday night.

The killer, who, as Jim Hoft revealed, was screaming “Allahu Akbar,” stabbed three people to death while wounding eight others at the Festival of Diversity in Solingen, a city around 25km east of Dusseldorf. Emergency workers were reportedly fighting for the others.

The attack happened on a central square, the Fronhof, at around 9:45 PM local time.

Now, it appears the horrifying mass murder is a direct result of Islamist terrorism.

The Daily Mail reported Saturday that the Islamic State group had claimed responsibility for a knife attack, saying that the assailant was one of their members.

“The perpetrator of the attack on a gathering of Christians in the city of Solingen in Germany yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State group,” said a statement from the ISIS news agency on the Telegram messaging app.

ISIS also revealed in their statement that the attack came “in revenge for Muslims in Palestine and everywhere.”

The Guardian reported a 15-year-old was arrested in connection with the attack. It’s important to note the youth is NOT the assailant but may have some involvement.

Two witnesses said they saw the teen talking to the attacker before he unleashed his terror activity and said that they heard him say: “I’m going to stab everyone.”

Public prosecutor Markus Caspers said the youth at this time is suspected of “failing to report a crime.” He also stated the 15-year-old spoke with the assailant “shortly before the crime.”

A second suspect was also apprehended late Saturday. The Guardian revealed the arrest followed a police operation at a home for refugees in Solingen.

Police did not provide further details on the individual or the connection to the incident.

“The Festival of Diversity,” which marked Solingen’s 650th anniversary, began on Friday and was scheduled to run through Sunday. Several stages in the streets had been offering several attractions, including live music, cabaret, and acrobatics.

A U.S. District Judge has officially dropped key federal charges against former Louisville Police Detective Joshua Jaynes and Former Sgt. Kyle Meany regarding their alleged ‘involvement’ in Breonna Taylor’s death, which occurred back in 2020.

This week, U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson ruled that the officers in the case were not responsible for Taylor’s death, instead laying the blame at the feet of her criminal boyfriend, who opened fire on police the night of the raid.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Breonna Taylor was fatally shot in her apartment in March 2020 by officers who were executing a search warrant on Jamarcus Glover.

Glover was later charged with playing a role in the fentanyl overdose of a 13-year-old girl, among other charges, and had been using Taylor’s address, leading officers to obtain a search warrant for the property.

When officers entered the home after announcing themselves several times, they were immediately met by bullets, one of which struck an officer, being fired at them by Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker.

Walker claimed that he thought intruders had entered the apartment rather than officers, which ultimately led to his charges being dropped.

And that’s when Biden’s corrupt AG sprung into action to pin the whole thing on the police officers and a ‘bad warrant.’

According to AP News, Jaynes and Meany were accused of falsifying records in order to obtain a warrant by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, who claimed that the former officers played a direct role in Taylor’s death.

Now – several years later, the pair has been vindicated by the Judge’s ruling, but they aren’t out of the woods just yet.

From the AP:

“U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson’s ruling declared that the actions of Taylor’s boyfriend, who fired a shot at police the night of the raid, were the legal cause of her death, not a bad warrant…

…But Simpson wrote in the Tuesday ruling that “there is no direct link between the warrantless entry and Taylor’s death.” Simpson’s ruling effectively reduced the civil rights violation charges against Jaynes and Meany, which had carried a maximum sentence of life in prison, to misdemeanors.”

Despite the ruling, Judge Simpson declined to dismiss a charge against Meany, who is accused of falsifying statements to investigators, as well as another conspiracy charge against Jaynes, the AP reported.
