A biannual outdoors event ended in chaos and multiple felony charges after a monster truck rampage left people and vehicles crushed.

The incident started at the Sept. 20 “Rednecks with Paychecks” off-road event in Montague County, Texas.

Deputies from the Montague County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene after authorities were alerted to a large monster truck striking people and vehicles at the event.

When deputies arrived, KFDX-TV reported they found Jonathan Earl Reid, a 36-year-old native of Crockett, detained by event security.

Witnesses told authorities that Reid initially struck a utility terrain vehicle at the park where the private Rednecks with Paychecks event was being held. They said the collision sparked a heated argument between Reid and multiple other individuals.

According to the accounts, Reid asserted, “If the vehicle doesn’t have an eight-foot flag on it, I can hit it.”

Reid reportedly climbed back into his vehicle and hit the UTV again, and witnesses said people began throwing objects at his monster truck.

Video of the incident picked up at about this moment. The monster truck could be seen reversing before plowing through the parting crowd and over other vehicles and UTVs.

The clip has been circulating around social media, gaining millions of views so far.

Reid allegedly drove right over a Jeep SUV, crushing it and striking one of the two people scrambling to escape from the front of the vehicle.

Witnesses said Reid continued his rampage, crushing another UTV and hitting another victim.

According to KAUZ-TV, Montague County Sheriff Marshall Thomas, Reid continued to strike people and property.

Thomas said Reid was intoxicated during the rampage.

In total, authorities reported five victims: a 26-year-old female and 38-year-old male, both from Hutchinson, Kansas; a 43-year-old male from Copperas Cove, Texas; and a 67-year-old female and 43-year-old male, both from Hobbs, New Mexico.

Only two of those struck or crushed in the incident were injured seriously enough to require hospitalization at Muenster Hospital.

Reid now faces five felony charges stemming from the rampage, all counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Reid was released after posting a $200,000 bond.

As floodwaters ripped through Tennessee, patients and staff members at a hospital were left stranded on a roof as floodwaters surrounded the medical center.

More than 50 people were left stranded on the roof of Unicoi County Hospital as floodwaters raged around the facility.

The patients and personnel at the hospital have since been rescued, according to Senator Bill Hagerty.

Sen. Hagerty wrote in a post on X, “Everyone has been rescued safely from the roof of Unicoi County Hospital in Erwin. More trouble is on the horizon for East Tennessee communities. Please stay safe, and thank you for your prayers!”

WJHL reported the patients and personnel were airlifted off the roof by the Highlands Emergency Air Rescue & Transport (HEART) helicopter team, which worked alongside the Tennessee National Guard.

Per ABC News:

At least 54 people were trapped on the roof of a hospital in Tennessee on Friday after floodwaters due to Hurricane Helene quickly surrounded the medical center.

Everyone was rescued safely, Sen. Bill Hagerty said in a statement.

Unicoi County Hospital — located in the northeastern part of the state on the border with North Carolina — took on so much flooding that those inside could no longer be safely evacuated and had to relocate to the roof.

In addition to the people trapped on the roof, seven people were in rescue boats. The National Guard and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) are currently engaged in “a dangerous rescue operation,” according to Ballad Health, a health care company that runs a chain of hospitals.

No patients or personnel were harmed during the rescue mission.

UNITED STATES – SEPTEMBER 20: Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., questions Attorney General Merrick Garland during the House Judiciary Committee hearing titled “Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice,” in Rayburn Building on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. (Tom Williams/CQ Roll Call via AP Images)

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) on Thursday sent his “final” response to the House Ethics Committee’s investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, illicit drug use, or other misconduct by Gaetz.

“It seems the fix is in,” says Gaetz, calling the investigation a “political payback exercise, devoid of adequate due process, riddled with leaks, and now seeking deeply personal information that is no business of Congress.”

The Gateway Pundit reported on the Ethics Committee’s revival of the junk allegations against Gaetz, even after the Biden DOJ exonerated Gaetz of criminal wrongdoing and dropped the charges in February 2023.

McCarthy Strikes Back: House Ethics Committee Revives Junk Matt Gaetz Investigation after He Was Cleared by Biden’s DOJ – Steve Bannon Goes Off!

Notably, the investigation was reopened in 2023 as Gaetz ramped up challenges to former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who was later ousted by Gaetz's Motion to Vacate the chair. Later, when Gaetz threatened to bring a Motion to Vacate against McCarthy in October 2023, McCarthy's RINO allies began threatening to expel Gaetz based on the Committee's investigation.

The politicized investigation continues to this day for obvious reasons.

"This investigation exists to do what the voters of my district won't - remove me from office," said Gaetz. He further notes that members of the Ethics Committee funded a failed political campaign against him and describes the investigation by his political opponents as "Soviet."

Gaetz further outlined the narrative behind the investigation and DOJ's political witchhunt in his letter and provided evidence of their "plot to frame" him using Joel Greenberg, who previously pleaded guilty to six crimes, including sex trafficking of a minor, and began cooperating with agents before. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2022.

Gaetz posted the letter to X, captioned, "My final response to the Ethics Committee."

In subsequent X posts, Gaetz published evidence of the plot that he provided to the Committee, including an interview between former federal agents and an informant who spoke with the Committee's "star witness," Joel Greenberg. The memo of the informant's interview with federal agents shows that Greenberg said he was working with Democrat prosecutors who wanted to take down Republican politicians and admitted to the informant that he fabricated allegations of sex trafficking against Gaetz. Also included is a text message from Greenberg showing that he was paying attorney fees for one of his victims, which Gaetz says was part of a plan to get the victim to lie about him.

Gaetz also provided the Committee with a letter from the informant, who was housed in a cell with Greenberg in 2021, where the informant notified Gaetz's legal team of Greenburg's plan to frame Gaetz for a lesser prison sentence.

Gaetz concludes, saying on X, "NONE of this has been enough for the Committee. It seems the fix is in... I will no longer voluntarily participate in this regrettable abuse of the Committee."

New Book About Princess Diana Addresses the Rumor That Prince Harry Would Be the Son of Her Riding Instructor, Major Hewitt – and Not King Charles

New Book About Princess Diana Addresses the Rumor That Prince Harry Would Be the Son of Her Riding Instructor, Major Hewitt – and Not King Charles
September 27, 2024

Among the multitude of tabloid stories and rumors that plagued the British Royal family over the years, there was one that was specially hurtful for Princess Diana, and subsequently for Prince Harry.

For decades, many have speculated that her the Princess’ riding instructor, James Hewitt, was Prince Harry’s real biological father, not King Charles.

After all, the rumor suggests, both Harry and Hewitt share ginger hair and freckles.

Now, a new book is tackling the story yet again, and hoping to put it to rest once and for all.

Richard Dalton, Diana’s hairdresser, has published a memoir called ‘It’s All About the Hair’, which details his friendship with the Royal, and has told the press that ‘it’s not possible’.

New York Post reported:

“’It was tough’, Dalton admitted. ‘Harry was already born a while before her relationship with Hewitt. And I don’t think it’s possible.[…] Harry and the Spencer family have red hair. Charles, Diana’s brother, had bright red hair when he was [in] college. And I used to cut his hair then. [Diana’s sister] Sarah, has bright red hair. [Diana’s other sister] Jane was more or less the same coloring as Diana’.”

Dalton writes that Diana ‘used to get very upset’ with the story, and adds that ‘the red hair was a trait from the Spencer family’.

Diana reportedly met Hewitt in 1986, which is two years after Harry was born, in 1984.

“’Diana was starved of affection and intimacy from her husband, the man she loved’, he wrote. ‘She was also an heir-making machine for Charles and was coming to terms with the betrayal within her marriage’.”

Later, Hewitt would write a book, signaling that their relationship ‘was a conquest and not a matter of love’.

In 2023, when Harry sued the Daily Mirror, he wrote a statement saying: “’Numerous newspapers had reported a rumor that my biological father was James Hewitt, a man my mother had a relationship with after I was born’, Harry wrote. ‘At the time of this article and others similar to it, I wasn’t actually aware that my mother hadn’t met Major Hewitt until after I was born. […] They were hurtful, mean and cruel. I was always left questioning the motives behind the stories. Were the newspapers keen to put doubt into the minds of the public, so I might be ousted from the royal family?’”

In his memoir, “Spare,” Harry tells how his father joked about the painful gossip, which may help explain the difficult relationship between them.

“’Pa liked telling stories, and this was one of the best in his repertoire’, Harry wrote. ‘He’d always end with a burst of philosophizing … ’Who knows if I’m really the Prince of Wales? Who knows if I’m even your real father?’ […] He’d laugh and laugh, though it was a remarkably unfunny joke, given the rumor circulating just then that my actual father was one of Mummy’s former lovers: Major James Hewitt’, Harry shared. ‘One cause of this rumor was Major Hewitt’s flaming ginger hair, but another cause was sadism’.”

In 2002, Hewitt himself addressed the gossip:

“’I have been aware for a while that the issue of Harry’s paternity has been a major talking point’, said Hewitt, as quoted by People magazine. ‘There really is no possibility whatsoever that I am Harry’s father. I can understand the interest, but Harry was already aa  walking by the time my relationship with Diana began [=…] It sells paper’, said Hewitt about the rumor. ‘It’s worse for [Harry], probably, poor chap’.”

Jack Smith Pushes For Redacted Version of 180-Page Hit Piece to be Released to do the Maximum Damage to Trump Before Election

Jack Smith Pushes For Redacted Version of 180-Page Hit Piece to be Released to do the Maximum Damage to Trump Before Election
September 27, 2024

Special Counsel Jack Smith on Friday pushed to publicly release a redacted version of his 180-page ‘opening brief’ with cherry-picked quotes to do the maximum damage to Trump shortly before the presidential election.

Judge Tanya Chutkan on Tuesday approved Jack Smith’s request to submit a 180-page ‘opening brief’ on President Trump in the January 6 DC case.

Trump’s attorneys previously asked Chutkan to deny Jack Smith’s request to file a 180-page opening brief because it is quadruple the page limit in DC.

“The Motion is a new development illustrating the unprecedented and irregular nature of the Office’s approach on remand, as they are seeking permission to file a document that would quadruple the standard page limits in this District. The Office cites no case in which such relief was granted, just as they cited no authority for the previous request to file a free-standing brief relating to Presidential immunity that is not responsive to a pending defense motion,” Trump’s lawyers wrote in a 9-page court filing reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

Trump’s attorneys rightfully argued that Jack Smith’s allegations presented through the 180-page document will “enter the dialogue around the election.”

They also argued that the gag order prevents Trump from even responding to the allegations and explaining in detail why Jack Smith’s selective biased account is inaccurate.

Jack Smith is now pushing to release cherry-picked quotes from witnesses to do the most damage to Trump in the weeks leading up to the election.

“Rather, the public’s interest is fully vindicated by accessing the substantive material in the Government’s filing,” Jack Smith’s filing said, according to ABC News. “For example, the unredacted substance of what a witness said is more important, for purposes of public access, than the redacted identity of the specific person who said it.”

ABC News reported:

A day after filing a sealed brief seeking to justify his superseding indictment against Donald Trump, special counsel Jack Smith is pushing to file a public version of the brief that includes “substantive” summaries of what investigators learned from witnesses in the former president’s federal election interference case.

In his lengthy brief filed under seal on Thursday, Smith presented his case for how the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity does not apply to Trump’s criminal case, in which the former president is accused of seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

In their filing Friday, prosecutors argued that releasing a version of the brief that removes the names of witnesses other than Vice President Mike Pence — and also redacts nonpublic information sources — would respect the court’s orders and serve the public’s interest in the case.

Judge Tanya Chutkan set a schedule in Jack Smith’s opening brief.

If she releases Jack Smith’s 180-page monstrosity, it won’t be until mid to late October.
