Alligators Swim Through Florida Streets After Hurricane Helene Hits Sunshine State (VIDEO)

Several reports of alligators swimming through residential areas in Sarasota, Florida, emerged after Hurricane Helene hit the Sunshine State.
In a news broadcast on Thursday night, ABC News warned residents not to venture out in flood waters after receiving reports of alligators swimming through flooded streets.
The ABC News reporter further shared that her producer spotted an alligator in a flooded area.
Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida posted a video on X of an alligator swimming in a residential area and wrote, “Beware of Hurricane Alligators.”
Reports of alligators swimming through Sarasota streets after Hurricane Helene struck Florida have started to surface on social media.
In a newscast Thursday night, an ABC reporter cited reports of alligators swimming through some flooded streets and warned people not to venture out into the floodwaters.
“We’ve actually been seeing some people swimming through the area, alligators swimming through the area,” the reporter said, adding that her producer just told her they’ve seen the alligators. “This is another reason you don’t want to get into this mess. My friend likes to call it Jurassic Florida.”
Many posts on X (formerly Twitter) about the event said that the alligators were seen in Sarasota. Newsweek reached out to the city of Sarasota and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) by email for comment.
Many areas of Florida have experienced major flooding.

Video and photos taken of a massive Israeli airstrike in Beirut on Friday shows utter destruction of the headquarters of the Hezbollah terrorist group. Several buildings were destroyed with bunker buster bombs to penetrate the terrorist group’s underground bunker command center.
Unconfirmed reports state that Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah and other Hezbollah leaders were at the headquarters when Israel struck. Nasrallah’s status is unknown as of this writing with rumors and unconfirmed reports alleging he was killed or survived.

Israeli warplanes carried out a series of strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs Friday, Lebanese state media reported, triggering loud explosions that were heard in the capital.

The Daily Wire’s Kassy Akiva reposted a government photo of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York City Friday reportedly giving the order to attack the Hezbollah headquarters.
Netanyahu just declared “we are winning” at his UN speech.
Israel has gone on offense against Hezbollah after nearly a year of missile attacks by the Islamist puppet of Iran and tit for tat responses by Israel. The northern part of Israel was evacuated of civilians following Hezbollah rocket attacks starting last October 8, the day after the horrific terror attack on southern Israel by Iran puppet Hamas.
Hezbollah was recently decimated by a scheme that saw pagers and other communication devices implanted with explosives that killed and maimed many operatives and officials. Israel has also bombed Hezbollah missile bases and ammunition depots as well as waging targeted attacks on Hezbollah leadership.
