‘Grisly’ video released by undercover investigators.

Famous but disgraced former “Today” show host Matt Lauer is being targeted by accusations from animal-rights activists who have released a “grisly” video to the New York Post alleging sheep are being abused at his New Zealand estate, which includes a sheep farm.

A statement from a representative for Lauer said he had no knowledge of the allegations that concern actions at Hunter Valley Farming, which operates on part of Lauer’s 16,000-acre estate there.

“(Lauer) was deeply disturbed and saddened to hear of what allegedly has happened, and immediately launched his own investigation of his tenant’s operations, which is currently underway,” the statement to the Post said.

The report in the Post said the allegations from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals charged, “Sheep are routinely hit, beaten in the face, and stitched up with needle and thread with no pain medication.”

The report said Lauer acquired the $9 million property just months “before he was booted from the morning show after several woman accused him of sexual harassment and rape.”

Part of his property is then rented out to the sheep operation.

It was Ingrid Newkirk, the PETA chief, who told the publication, “Matt Lauer’s New Zealand getaway is hell for scared sheep who are flung about, pinned down and cut up.”

Lauer denied all the claims made about him before his dismissal from “Today,” and never was charged.

The report said he sold a $44 million home in the Hamptons in 2022 at least partly so he could spend more time in New Zealand.

The Post said the sheep operations are run by Digby and Hannah Cochrane, and the couple released a statement saying, “At shearing time we employ independent shearing contractors, to shear the sheep, who work in accordance with New Zealand industry accepted guidelines and practices.”

The estate also has hiking trails, rental lodges, a cattle farm and more.

The site, Hunter Valley Station located about two hours from Queenstown, also features a five-bedroom, lakefront homestead.

New Zealand is a major contributor to wool supplies worldwide.

The PETA accusations include that farm workers “drag sheep across the floor” by a leg.

The site was one of 11 PETA infiltrated. Other allegations include animals being dropped onto the hard floor and shoved into their pen.

This weekend, CBS News journalist Jan Crawford predicted that Trump will have the opportunity to appoint a fourth justice to the United States Supreme Court, this coming year or in the next.

If this happens, we will see another full-blown meltdown from the left. No one who was around for Trump’s first term will forget the temper tantrum the left threw over all of Trump’s prior appointments to the court.

This will simply solidify the conservative majority on the court, making it impossible for Democrats to legislate from the bench.

Jan Crawford also admitted that Democrats have been waging a calculated war on the Supreme Court in recent years, which is absolutely correct:

MAJOR GARRETT: Jan, as you know better than anyone at this table, this last year was a clash of law and politics, unlike anything we have seen in our modern American history.

The judicial system in our country, according to Gallup, 35 percent confidence, 20 percent below our peer countries, other free market democracies. How much of that is a reflection of this clash, the Supreme Court, or just a sense that our judicial system has become, in the words of someone we have all come to know, two-tiered?

JAN CRAWFORD: You know, that’s a hard question to answer, because I think you have got a…

MAJOR GARRETT: We always give you the easiest ones, Jan.

JAN CRAWFORD: But I’m going to try, Major, because I think it goes – you have got to look past just this past year and go further back.

I think it really started and took off in the wake of the Dobbs decision, the court’s ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade. The outrage over that decision was so extreme that you saw, I think, a quite calculated effort to undermine legitimacy of the Supreme Court by Democrats, Senate Democrats, for example, hearings, stories about scandals, some of which were pretty overblown, to say the least.

If Trump gets to appoint another justice to SCOTUS, Democrats will only amplify their attacks on the court. Count on it.

Trump has picked conservative lawyer Harmeet Dhillon to head up the civil rights division at the Department of Justice and this choice was not a coincidence.

Silicon Valley investor Marc Andreesen, who became a Trump supporter during this election cycle, recently described how Dhillon will aggressively go after woke DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) policies in the corporate world and academia.

Andreesen even suggests that the writing is on the wall and that some corporations are already making big changes in anticipation of Dhillon’s arrival in Washington.

Paul Perez, the president of the Border Patrol Union, recently appeared on FOX News and issued a warning to Democrat-run sanctuary cities that are planning to defy Trump and Border Czar Tom Homan.

He ominously suggested that anyone who stands in the way will be ‘dealt with.’

Illegal immigration was one of the most important issues in the 2024 election. The American people want this problem handled and it’s one of the main reasons that so many people voted for Donald Trump.

The message from Perez is that this is serious and people had better not play games.

National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez warned Democratic officials against opposing the incoming Trump administration’s planned deportations, as President-elect Donald Trump is hiring “the best legal minds” who would enforce consequences.

Several state officials, including Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), have been working in the wake of the 2024 election to deter the incoming administration’s deportations of illegal immigrants, prompting Trump “border czar” Tom Homan to warn them to “get out of the way.” In response to the officials and sanctuary cities intending to work against the Trump administration, Perez argued they need to recognize that “federal law supersedes state law.”

“Anybody that’s going to get in the way is going to be dealt with, and so they need to take this incoming administration at its word because they are going to have some of the best legal minds working in the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security,” Perez said on Fox News’s America Reports, guest-hosted by Griff Jenkins and Julie Banderas. “So it’s not something that they’re taking lightly. They’re going to do the job.”

Florida used to be considered a swing state but it doesn’t really look like that anymore.

Republicans have dominated elections in Florida in recent years and the state just keeps getting redder. One Democrat consultant there recently suggested that it could be 25 years before the Democrats are even competitive again in the state.

In the 2024 election, Trump and Republicans even managed to flip the historically blue Miami-Dade County red. Is there any wonder why Democrats in Florida keep flipping to the GOP?

It may take 25 years for Democrats to be competitive in Florida once again, one Florida Democrat consultant said, concluding that the solution is “slow, long-term and sucks.”

It is no mystery that Republicans have taken over Florida as a whole, essentially removing Florida’s historic swing state status from the list in the last presidential election. This is the same state that swung for former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, only to flip for Trump in the three consecutive presidential elections.

And the margins only continued to grow, as Trump won Florida by 1.2 percent in 2016, 3.3 percent in 2020, and 13.1 percent in 2024. Stunningly, Florida Republicans did not even have a voter registration advantage in the Sunshine State until November 2021, when Gov. Ron DeSantis first announced the historic achievement. From then on, the growth — thought by some to boom due to Florida’s free status in a world of ongoing draconian coronavirus mandates — has exploded for Republicans, as they now surpass Democrats in terms of voter registration by well over one million voters.

This was huge and should worry Democrats.
