Another Attack on Police in Times Square by Tren de Aragua-Linked Gangbangers
May 5, 2025
A mob of Tren de Aragua-linked gangbangers attacked a pair of NYC pollice officers in Times Square over the weekend.
According to an exclusive report from The New York Post, two officers were jumped while trying to stop the mob from robbing a pair of youngsters.
At least three of the brutes were rounded up by Sunday afternoon — including a 12-year-old reputed ring leader — with police identifying the mob as members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua’s baby-faced offshoot crew known as Diablos de la 42, or Devils of 42nd Street, the sources said.
At least three in the mob were already sought for a string of shocking robberies in Central Park — and were caught red-handed trying to pull off another heist when two cops intervened, they said.
“Is this what a sanctuary city is supposed to be?” one frustrated cop asked. “One of these kids was 11 years old when he was the ringleader of that Central Park robbery pattern.
“What is it going to take for some of this policy to change when you have an 11, now 12-year-old, running around — or anybody — committing these crimes?” the source said. “When is common sense going to prevail? Don’t we have a moral obligation?”
According to police, all of the migrants were guests of the sanctuary city living at Manhattan’s Row Hotel at taxpayer expense.
The Friday night attack echoes an incident in 2024 when a mob of migrants who were caught on video beating and kicking two New York City police officers near a migrant center in Times Square.
After the arrest of an 11-year-old who was also caught on surveillance cameras using stolen credit cards from a string of robberies in Central Park, authorities raised concerns about a “wolf pack” robberies linked to migrant children.
NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell told reporters in 2024, “At this point in time, we’re ready to call it: This is a migrant robbery pattern.”
Chell added, “We think they’re responsible for most of them, if not all of them.”
Police were able to track the phone to the Roosevelt Hotel, which serves as the city’s main migrant intake center.
