It wasn’t until late in the 2024 election cycle before President Joe Biden’s administration decided to do something about illegal immigration and the border crisis. By then, it was much, much too late.

In May, the GOP members of the House Committee on Homeland Security estimated that, before the end of fiscal year 2024, the Biden administration will have been responsible for 10 million illegal immigrant encounters at our nation’s borders. With catch-and-release policies and backed-up immigration courts dealing with specious asylum claims, that’s not a border crisis; it’s officially a border catastrophe.

President-elect Donald Trump ran on fixing this — and using a legal power he didn’t during his first term, deploying the U.S. military to remove those illegally in this country, to begin to stop the bleeding.

Americans approve. Not that the presidential popular vote matters any — that and $5.69 will get you a Big Mac and literally nothing else — but Trump leads in the tally without even trying. He’s already won 312 electoral votes, which basically means he carried every state he targeted. That’s a mandate to do something about the border, and Democrats, not wrongly, are freaking out.

This shouldn’t be ugly, mind you. This is the will of the people: They’re fed up with a cynical open-borders policy encouraged by a party that believes demographics is destiny. Democrats realize this, too. And, in a viral clip from a CNN panel discussion on Monday, liberal activist Paul Rieckhoff let on what the strategy is going to be: thwart the will of the voters by making enforcing the law as painful as possible.

The discussion came after Trump confirmed on Truth Social that he was “prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program,” as Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said, according to Fox News.

This is wholly legal, but the last time it was done was the 1950s and on a smaller scale — roughly 1.3 million illegal immigrants. However, drastic times call for drastic measures, which is why voters have given Trump a mandate.

The problem, of course, is that Democratic politicians left and further left are lining up to announce that they’ll do anything possible to get in the way of enforcing the law:

Thus, Rieckhoff — who served in the military — argued that our men and women in uniform would be meeting resistance on the streets of our own country while enforcing our own laws. Remember when they said we were the ones prepping for Civil War II? To hear Rieckhoff tell it, that apparently changed Nov. 5.

“The challenge of sorting through them is mammoth. We had a hard time doing it in Iraq, OK?” he said.

“Our troops have had a hard time doing it in Afghanistan, trying to ask them to sort through who’s who and implement a policy like this, hold on, here in the United States is like nothing we’ve ever seen. I mean, hold on. Maybe the only precedent we have is internment camps during World War II against Japanese-Americans.”

And there we have it: Not only would this be street-fighting like in Iraq or Afghanistan, it would be like the internment of Japanese-American citizens during World War II. Except these people aren’t citizens — or even in this country legally — and can be deported. But other than that, totally similar.

Enter the voice of reason at CNN, conservative commentator Scott Jennings: “You’ve twice now insinuated that Trump’s going to send the military to round up American citizens, which is totally false,” he said. “There are 1.3 to 1.6 million illegal immigrants in this country today who have already received deportation orders from a court. You can start there.

“There’s another population, as Marc [Lotter] said, that have either committed violent crimes in the United States or committed violent crimes where they came from. You can also do that. That has nothing to do with the people in your neighborhood, has nothing to do with the person in your office, and has nothing to do with whatever the hell you’re talking about. It has to do with getting people out of the country who do not belong here.”

However, here’s — alas — where Rieckhoff makes a good point when he asked how Jennings would deploy the military to deport these illegal immigrants.

“I would use the military in conjunction with local officials, local law enforcement, county sheriffs, people who know their communities, because I assume a lot of the local sheriffs and jailers are going to be the people who end up housing some of these folks before they are deported,” Jennings said.

Rieckhoff didn’t notice that he’d hit on something here and kept on asking how Jennings would handle the military deployment logistically. Jennings again noted, “There are millions of people who came into the country illegally who have already received deportation orders or who have committed some other crime while they’ve been here. The fact that you want to leave them in place is mind-boggling to me.”

“That is not what I said. That is not what I said,” Rieckhoff responded.

Host John Berman then interjected and asked Rieckhoff what he thought the mandate was from the election.

“I think the voters were saying, do something about it. I think broadly across partisan lines, there is almost universal need for people to do something about it. What you do about it is a totally different story,” Rieckhoff said.

Later in the discussion, Rieckhoff continued his rant: “The idea that any of that’s going to happen in abstract without protesters and other Americans getting involved is delusional. I mean, if you go into any American city and start setting up encampments to put whoever in there you want, there are going to be citizens who are going to protest. There are going to be journalists. There are going to be a multitude of fraught and really daunting challenges for a 19-year-old holding a weapon in an American street.”

Jennings again tried to get the other options from the guy who’s on there because he supposedly knows military stuff: “What’s the alternative? To let the crisis continue?”

“It’s not deploy the 82nd or let the crisis continue,” Rieckhoff said. “There are plenty of middle grounds.”

He’s lying. There are no “middle grounds.” And he let you know it in bold neon signage by falsely claiming, earlier in the discussion, that we’re going to treat Latino citizens like FDR treated Japanese-Americans.

This is the Democratic strategy for dealing with illegal immigration: make enforcing the law so painful, so horrifying, that we don’t. Then we maybe talk about shutting down the border occasionally if there are so many crossings a week, say, or maybe appoint a few more immigration judges, so asylum cases get heard sometime before 2035.

That’s your middle ground. Anything else, and you’re putting children in cages like Japanese internment camps, and Democrats aren’t going to take it, which is why they’re going to make enforcement of the law a matter of, at the very least, low-level civil war. And then conservatives stop, because we’re the cruel ones.

There will be no cooperation from state and local officials, as Jennings said. Quite the opposite. The party that got voted out because of its failure to protect our border is now lining up to ensure that failure persists — because to them, that failure wasn’t a bug, but a feature of their national policy.

They will fight the will of American voters. They will fight the law. And now that it’s gotten so bad that the military has to get involved, they will fight the military.

That is how sacrosanct the right to illegal immigration is to Democrats. There is no peaceful middle-ground solution. This is a preview of what it will take to simply enforce immigration law in America, for heaven’s sake. And if it sounds ugly when you read between the lines of a CNN panel discussion, just wait until you see what it looks like in practice.

DEA agents demanded the right to take a traveler’s backpack away for inspection.

A federal program in which Drug Enforcement Administration agents unconstitutionally demanded to search travelers’ luggage, without any probable cause a crime had been committed, has been suspended after the scheme was caught on video.

It is the Institute for Justice, which is fighting on behalf of victims of the program, that confirmed the government’s abrupt flip-flop.

The institute confirmed, “Today, the Department of Justice suspended the Drug Enforcement Administration’s controversial practice of having agents intercept travelers, interrogate them, and insist on searching their bags in what the agency calls ‘consensual encounters.’”

The encounters actually are anything but consensual, as the video reveals one agent insisting that he is “the government” and can confiscate a traveler’s backpack and take it away – to some unknown location – for a search.

The victim in this case explained on video that he was very concerned that the agent would, in fact, take the backpack, and then plant evidence in it.

The institute said the suspension “comes on the heels of an Office of the Inspector General report, also issued today, that criticizes the practice and refers to shocking footage of one traveler’s experience, which the Institute for Justice (IJ) released on YouTube in July.”

“Today’s OIG report confirms what we’ve been saying for years about predatory DEA practices at airports, and the allegations in our nationwide class-action lawsuit against DEA over these abuses,” said IJ lawyer Dan Alban.

“We welcome DOJ’s suspension of this program as a first step, but policy directives can be changed at any time, under this or future administrations. We call on Congress to pass the FAIR Act to permanently reform federal civil forfeiture laws to end the profit incentive, close the equitable sharing loophole, and to guarantee every property owner receives their day in court by ending so-called administrative forfeitures.”

The institute said it currently is suing the DEA and the Transportation Security Administration over the airport seizure and confiscation programs they operate.

The case is on behalf of several travelers and a class of people who have had their property seized, and it currently is in the discovery phase gathering evidence.

The IG report cited the evidence that the DEA was refusing to comply with even its own policies on consensual encounters at airports.

That failure, the IG confirmed, was creating “potentially significant operational and legal risks.”

Among the failings was that the DEA operatives were refusing to complete required documentation about their actions, and had failed to obtain the proper training.

The OG continued with criticism of DEA’s “absence of critical controls, such as adequate policies, guidance, training, and data collection,” because that creates “substantial risks” that officers “will conduct these activities improperly, impose unwarranted burdens on, and violate the legal rights of innocent travelers.”

The IG noted that when the report was given to a deputy attorney general, a directive was issued to the DEA to halt its practices.

Further, the IG noted that concerns about complaints about such activities date back decades.

Matt Gaetz on Thursday announced he is withdrawing his nomination for US Attorney General after a meeting with senators.

After relentless attacks over recycled junk allegations brought by the Biden Regime’s DOJ, Matt Gaetz withdrew his nomination on Thursday.

“I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback – and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I’ll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Trump’s DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1,” Matt Gaetz said.

“I remain fully committed to see that Donald J. Trump is the most successful President in history. I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice and I’m certain he will Save America,” Gaetz said.

According to MSNBC, at least 5 Senate Republicans were a hard no on Gaetz:

  • Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
  • Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
  • Susan Collins (R-ME)
  • Markwayne Mullin (R-OH)
  • Sen.-elect John Curtis (R-UT)

Vice President-elect JD Vance called Matt Gaetz a patriot after he withdrew his nomination.

Matt Gaetz responded to Vance and said he looks forward to continuing the fight to save our country… “Just maybe from a different post,” Gaetz said.

Stay tuned!

The mayor of Denver Colorado has completely lost his mind, vowing to use police and civilians to block the deportation of illegal aliens.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston of Denver, Colorado has declared war on President Trump’s efforts to enforce immigration policies.

Mayor Johnston has made it clear that he will go as far as using city police and local volunteers to physically prevent the deportation of illegal immigrants, including those with potential gang affiliations.

In a recent interview with Denverite, Johnston unapologetically declared his intention to turn Denver into a fortress of resistance against immigration enforcement, framing his actions as a moral crusade.

“We won’t change that, because those are one of our core values,” Johnston said, adding, “We’re not going to sell out those values to anyone. We’re not going to be bullied into changing them.”

“I think we are gonna continue to be a welcoming, open, big-hearted city that’s gonna stand by our values,” Johnston added.

Johnston’s approach, which includes using Denver’s police force and even mobilizing citizens to obstruct federal operations, has drawn comparisons to lawless sanctuary cities.

He boldly claimed that Denverites themselves would rise up to form a human barricade against federal authorities, invoking imagery of the infamous Tiananmen Square protests.

“More than us having [Denver Police] stationed at the county line to keep them out, you would have 50,000 Denverites there,” Johnston boasted, adding, “It’s like the Tiananmen Square moment with the rose and the gun, right?” You’d have every one of those Highland moms who came out for the migrants. And you do not want to mess with them.”

Johnston’s remarks go further, suggesting that any federal attempt to enforce immigration law in Denver would require “invading” Colorado with out-of-state National Guard units.

“I do not believe that our governor is going to let them use our [Colorado] National Guard at the state level,” he said. “Unless they were planning on bringing national guards mobilized from Texas or Alabama to come invade Colorado, I don’t know where they would find the forces to begin to do that,” the crooked mayor said.

If this is not proof positive that Democrats are fighting for open borders, what would be? If only they would fight this hard to protect struggling Americans in need. Unfortunately, Denver is estimated to have nearly ten thousand homeless on the streets. In the eyes of the left, those Americans come last.

“That’s What You Wanted? You Damn Well Got It” – Former Russian President Medvedev Taunts West after Russia Launches Hypersonic Ballistic Attack on Ukraine
November 21, 2024

Russia shocks the West and launches a hypersonic ballistic missile attack on Ukraine.

On Thursday former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev taunted the West by posting video of Russia’s hypersonic ballistic missile attack on Ukraine.

Medvedev wrote on X: “So that’s what you wanted? You damn well got it!”

This hypersonic attack on Ukraine took place after several attacks on Russia this week by Ukrainian and NATO forces using US-made long-range missiles.

Joe Biden and his handlers made the shock announcement last weekend to escalate the war in Ukraine.

On Sunday, Joe Biden’s regime approved Ukraine’s use of US-made long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia.

The Washington Post reported that Biden will allow Ukraine to use a powerful American long-range weapon for strikes inside Russia, supposedly in response to North Korea’s recent aid to Russia in the form of thousands of troops. Ukraine will be specifically allowed to use the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to hit targets inside Russia.

As The Post notes, ATACMS is a supersonic-guided missile system that can be used with either cluster munitions or conventional warheads. It has a maximum range of about 190 miles.

The Post elaborates that Ukraine is expected to focus on and around the Kursk region at first but could expand its targets.

On Tuesday, Ukraine fired six US-made long-range missiles inside Russia. The first Ukrainian strike targeted the border region of Bryansk in Russia.

According to BRICS News – Five missiles were shot down by S-400 & Pantsir AA systems, one was damaged, its fragments fell in the technical zone of a military facility, causing a fire, Russian Defense Ministry says.

Putin, following reports of Biden’s decision to give Ukraine permission to “long-range” missiles, approved the updated nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation. As part of the new doctrine Russia spelled out that aggression against Russia and its allies by a non-nuclear country with the support of a nuclear state will be considered a joint attack.

On Wednesday morning Joe Biden approved antipersonnel land mines for Ukraine – undoing his previous policy.

According to Reuters the United States expects Ukraine to use the mines in its own territory, though it has committed not to use them in areas populated with its own civilians, the official said. The Washington Post first reported the development.

The mines are designed for use against humans.  Joe Biden just authorized these horrible weapons to blow up humans in Ukraine.

Via Reuters – The United States has provided Ukraine with anti-tank mines throughout its war with Russia, but the addition of anti-personnel mines aims at blunting the advance of Russian ground troops, the official added, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Now on Thursday, Russia retaliated with hypersonic ballistic missiles into Ukraine.
