St. Louis Man Arrested After Destroying Angel of Harmony Statue at the St. Louis Basilica with a Boom Lift

35-year-old Christopher Jaros was arrested on Tuesday evening after he destroyed the Angel of Harmony statue with a boom lift outside of the St. Louis Basilica in Missouri.
The man then fled on foot and fired a shot into an unoccupied car.
We believe the suspect also fired a shot into an unoccupied car. Investigators reviewed video surveillance and identified a suspect. Detectives spotted the man as they searched the Central West End but he took off running.
“The Angel of Harmony has graced the grounds of our city’s Cathedral Basilica since 1999, as a joyful reminder that our diversity is something to be celebrated, that truth, beauty and goodness unite us all. We need to be reminded of that daily. We are still learning about the extent of the damage, with great hope that this special sculpture can be restored,” said Archbishop of St. Louis Mitchell Rozanski in a statement.
According to a post from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the Angel of Harmony statue was knocked off its base by a boom lift.
Officers were called to the Cathedral Basilica at about 8 p.m., where they found the statue damaged and an unoccupied vehicle with a bullet hole. After reviewing the security video, they identified a suspect and began searching for him.
Police said officers spotted the man in the Central West End, but he ran off. The post said officers surrounded the area and used a police dog to track the suspect down near the intersection of Euclid and Maryland avenues.
The 35-year-old man was taken into custody. Police said they also believe the man was the one who fired the shot at an unoccupied car.
Security video from the intersection showed a shirtless man evading multiple officers before tripping and falling to the ground. The officers then surrounded him and took him into custody.

New Gallup Poll Finds Donald Trump is More Popular Than Kamala Harris

Donald Trump is more popular than Kamala Harris, according to new polling from Gallup, which is considered a liberal polling outfit.
This is going to make Democrats and the media very sad. Think of how hard they have worked for years now to make Trump toxic. They failed. What a shame.
Scott Jennings, the conservative pundit on CNN, shared the news on Twitter/X:
The poll showed that 46 percent had a favorable view of Trump compared to 53 percent unfavorable. He’s gone up five points in favorability and down two points in unfavorability since August. He’s more popular now than in 2016 or 2020.
Harris on the other hand is at 44 percent favorable to 54 percent unfavorable. She’s gone down three points in favorability and up five points in unfavorability since August.
So much for any debate bounce for her. If anything, it looks like he got the bounce. She’s dipping and he’s rising.
Now, both are still underwater, and that isn’t great. But Trump has a nine-point lead with independents, which is a positive…
In the Gallup poll, Trump is 44-53 with independents versus Harris, who is at only 35 percent favorability to 60 percent unfavorability. She’s 25 points underwater with independents who she desperately needs to have to have a chance.
This is great news for Trump.

The Democrats panicked over sleepy Joe and swapped him out for Kamala Harris and she is not breaking through in the way that they had hoped. Despite everything they have thrown at Trump, he is still standing tall and beating Harris in popularity. Amazing.
Jane Fonda goes door-to-door for Kamala in Michigan – to the fury of veterans still reeling over 1972 Hanoi stunt
Jane Fonda went door-to-door in Michigan to campaign for Kamala Harris ahead of the presidential election – leaving a bad taste in the mouths of some Americans who haven’t forgiven the actress for a 1972 political stunt in Vietnam.
The 86-year-old activist was featured in a video posted by Kamala for Michigan hugging a resident of Ann Arbor and asking for the woman’s support.
‘I’ve never done it for a president, but this is most important. We have to, have to, have to get [Harris and Walz] elected,’ Fonda, dressed in a pinstriped gray suit, told the woman.
The pair shared an embrace as the resident held back tears before thanking the Fonda for the visit.
Despite the Michigander’s warmth, not all were happy to see Fonda’s activism – with many still taking offense to her controversial stance on the Vietnam War in the 1970s, where she actively called for the war’s end and even traveled to the country.
