In a move to extend a hand across the aisle, President Donald Trump has invited Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) to meet with him at Mar-a Lago.

Fetterman told CBS News, “That is the plan. Yes, we are going to have a conversation.”

The trip will mark the first known time a sitting Democratic U.S. senator is meeting with Trump at his Palm Beach residence since the election.

“I think that one, he’s the president, or he will be officially,” Fetterman said. “And I think it’s pretty reasonable that if the president would like to have a conversation — or invite someone to have a conversation — to have it. And no one is my gatekeeper.”

Fetterman has shown his willingness to break with his party to support common-sense legislation including being the first Democrat to sponsor the Laken Riley Act and has also shown support for a secure border.

Fetterman was also the first Senate Democrat to meet with Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense.

Speaking with CNN’s Manu Raju, Fetterman defended his decision to meet with Hegseth, emphasizing the importance of open dialogue and a willingness to work across party lines.

The senator’s bipartisan approach extended beyond Hegseth. Fetterman has also voiced support for Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), who was nominated as U.N. Ambassador.

In the weeks following the October 7 terrorist attacks, Fetterman was a profile in courage and unhesitatingly took a stance for Israel and against Hamas, despite the hard-left base of the Democrats and “Squad” members who sided with terrorists.

Fetterman has also been vocal in saying that he believes Trump should be pardoned of the 34 felony charges that he was convicted of in New York, saying the case against Trump was politically motivated.

Fetterman commented on the invitation to join Trump on X.

“I’m not just a Senator for Democrats—I’m a Senator for all Pennsylvanians.”

“It’s my job to find common ground and deliver results for everybody.”

“And because nobody is my gatekeeper, I will meet with anyone to secure some wins, including President Trump.”

At least five people have died in the Eaton fire and now the blaze is threatening the historic observatory at the top of Mt. Wilson.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Eaton fire has ZERO containment.

The devastating Eaton fire is now taking aim at Mt. Wilson, threatening the antenna farm and broadcasting transmitters located up there, as well as the historic Mt. Wilson observatory. Should the fire reach the top of the mountain, it could pose major communications issues and limit the broadcasting capabilities of Los Angeles’ major TV and radio stations.

According to KCBS/KCAL news, hand crews have arrived at Mt. Wilson to fight the blaze.

Most of Los Angeles’ TV stations broadcast from Mt. Wilson, including KCBS (CBS 2), KNBC (NBC 4), KTLA (Channel 5), KABC (ABC 7), KCAL (Channel 9), KTTV (Fox 11), KCOP (Channel 13), KCET (PBS SoCal 2 Channel 28), KOCE (PBS SoCal 1 Channel 50) and KMEX (Univision 34). FM stations broadcasting from there include KPCC-FM 89.3, KPFK-FM 90.7, KUSC-FM 91.5, KRRL-FM 92.3, KCBS-FM 93.1, KLLI-FM 93.9, KTWV 94.7, KLOS-FM 95.5, KNX-FM 97.1, KKLA-FM 99.5, KKLQ-FM 100.3, KRTH-FM 101.1, KSCA-FM 101.9, KIIS-FM 102.7, KOST-FM 103.5, KBIG-FM 104.3, KKGO-FM 105.1, KPWR-FM 105.9 and KLVE-FM 107.5.

Should the Mt. Wilson transmitting towers be destroyed by fire, local stations wouldn’t take as big a hit as they might have a few decades ago: Most cable, satellite and telco systems won’t be affected, as stations now deliver their feeds to providers via fiber-optic lines. And local TV stations now also share their live news broadcasts via streaming apps. But viewers who rely on over-the-air signals for their broadcast coverage would indeed need to temporarily find other ways to receive local TV fare — a serious concern during a major news event like the L.A. fires.

Several people have died, tens of thousands of acres have burned, more than 3,000 structures, including homes, have been reduced to ashes thanks to Governor Newsom’s refusal to build reservoirs.

Fish are more important that human beings, according to Newsom.

As Los Angeles confronts its most devastating wildfires in history, leftist Hollywood figures are voicing their discontent with the city’s Democrat leadership, particularly Mayor Karen Bass, over perceived failures in crisis management.

The Palisades Fire, which ignited on Tuesday, has rapidly consumed over 17,000 acres, destroying at least 1,000 structures and forcing tens of thousands to evacuate.

Mayor Bass faced criticism for being abroad in Ghana during the initial outbreak.

Upon her return, she defended her administration’s response, stating, “Although I wasn’t physically here, I was in touch with many of the individuals standing here throughout the entire time.”

However, her absence and the city’s preparedness have been scrutinized. She returned to Los Angeles on Wednesday but declined to answer questions regarding her absence and previous budget cuts to the LAFD.

Now, Hollywood’s leftist elite are turning their backs on Bass amidst the city’s worsening wildfire crisis, according to the New York Post.

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar took to Instagram to criticize the city’s evacuation efforts, stating, “City of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping,” while tagging Mayor Bass and the city.

Similarly, actress Sara Foster expressed her frustration on social media.

“We pay the highest taxes in California. Our fire hydrants were empty. Our vegetation was overgrown, brush not cleared. Our reservoirs were emptied by our governor because tribal leaders wanted to save fish. Our fire department budget was cut by our mayor. But thank god drug addicts are getting their drug kits,” she wrote.

Foster went further to call for the resignation of both Mayor Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom, accusing their “far left policies” of ruining the state and the Democrat party.

Former “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy also criticized the state’s preparedness, questioning the lack of adequate water pressure for firefighters despite California’s substantial economy.

“5th largest economy on the planet. Firefighters didn’t have enough water pressure to do their job?! Are you joking me ?! The taxes we pay for 3rd world infrastructure is unbelievable ?! Come on,” he wrote.

Conservative actor James Wood said in an interview with Laura Ingraham, “if it is true that things were handled this way if it is true that Gavin Newsom is the absolute blithering idiot that I believe he is in the way… This isn’t a wake-up call… This is the kind of thing they have tribunals for.”

The bill was named after 22-year-old Laken Riley, a University of Georgia student who was recently murdered by a Venezuelan illegal.
