Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) managed to both bewilder and amuse reporters with his offbeat response to questions about a rumored visit to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

When pressed about his intentions for the purported visit, Fetterman responded with a straight face, “I demand that I need to be made Pope of Greenland.”

The offbeat remark left reporters momentarily stunned, unsure whether to take him seriously or laugh.

One reporter gamely followed up, “Do you have the résumé to be Pope?”

Fetterman pivoted back to a more serious note, emphasizing his commitment to representing all Pennsylvanians.

“I am not the senator for just Democrats in Pennsylvania. I’m everyone’s senator in Pennsylvania,” he said.

He added that any conversation with Trump would be about policy, citing his co-sponsorship of the “Laken Riley Bill” as an example of bipartisan legislative efforts.

“It’s just having a conversation,” Fetterman concluded.

President Trump extended the invitation to Fetterman, a gesture that signals his interest in working across the aisle.

Fetterman confirmed the visit during an interview with CBS News, saying, “That is the plan. Yes, we are going to have a conversation.”

“I think that one, he’s the president, or he will be officially,” Fetterman said. “And I think it’s pretty reasonable that if the president would like to have a conversation — or invite someone to have a conversation — to have it. And no one is my gatekeeper.”

Fetterman has consistently demonstrated a willingness to break from Democratic orthodoxy in support of what he calls “common-sense legislation.” He was the first Democrat to sponsor the Laken Riley Act and has voiced support for stronger border security.

In a previous move signaling bipartisanship, Fetterman became the first Senate Democrat to meet with Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense. Defending his decision, he told CNN’s Manu Raju that open dialogue and a willingness to work across party lines are vital for governance.

Also, Fetterman, in an appearance on Fox News Tuesday night, said that he thought there might be a “responsible conversation” to have about the idea of acquiring the sparsely populated Danish possession.

Trump has said on social media that “control of Greenland is an absolute necessity” for the United States in the run-up to his inauguration.

“There’s a lot of talk about Greenland, for example, and there’s a lot of freak-outs, and of course, I would never support taking it by force,” Fetterman said.

“But, I do think it’s a responsible conversation if they were open to acquiring it, you know, whether just buying it outright.

“If anyone thinks that’s bonkers, it’s like, well, remember the Louisiana Purchase,” Fetterman added.

“I think Alaska was a pretty great deal, too, $50 million I think it was. It was referred to as Seward’s Folly.”

Incompetent mayor Karen Bass needed a scapegoat for her failures, and she found one in the LA fire chief after she Slammed her earlier today.

The Daily Mail reported that Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley was summoned by Bass at a meeting Friday afternoon and was canned shortly thereafter.

“Kristin was summoned by Bass this afternoon, about 4 pm. She came back from that meeting, hugged her staff goodbye, and left. She said she was fired,” the source told the outlet.

This news comes right after Crowley spoke out against Bass’s failed leadership and said the city of LA failed its people.

‘My message is the fire department needs to be properly funded,” Crowley told FOX LA. “It’s not.”

When FOX LA asked if Bass and the city failed her, Crowley replied: “Yes.”

But as TGP readers know, Bass is the one who slashed Fire Department funding by $17.6 million a few months before the fires erupted on Tuesday and ran off to Ghana will the city burned.

Several individuals have lost their homes, entire livelihoods, and even their lives over the past several hours as the fire shows no signs of abating. Meanwhile, firefighters have limited water to fight the fires thanks to politicians pouring water from previous rain even into the ocean.

The fire would not have been so severe had California politicians led by Bass utilized common sense solutions such as clearing out the dead brush in the woods, ensuring the Fire Department had the necessary funding, and filling the state’s depleted aquifers with water.

Bass’s office screamed ‘fake news’ upon seeing the Daily Mail report.

“The Mayor and Chief met. The priority remains fighting these fires and protecting Angelenos.”

If you were scandalized by the European powers sweeping in to force Romania to cancel its Presidential Elections out of fear of right-winger Calin Georgescu, you better buckle up, according to former European Commissioner—and wannabe tyrant—Thierry Breton.

A Eurofanatic and enthusiast for censorship online, Breton had to resign from the EU after unsuccessfully trying to keep the Elon Musk/Donald Trump podcast from being broadcast.

In an interview on Thursday, Breton said that Elon Musk’s ‘interference’ in the upcoming elections in Germany ‘could lead to a cancellation of the election results.’

CNews reported (translated from the French):

“This interference is also worrying European leaders. While the results of the first round of the Romanian presidential election have been annulled against a backdrop of Russian interference, the threat of Elon Musk intervening in favor of the AfD in Germany raises fears of the worst.”

Breton said that freedom of speech is a ‘fundamental element’ in Europe, commenting on Musk podcast with Alice Weidel on X – but…

“Thierry Breton nevertheless called for keeping calm in the face of this situation that is developing in Germany, mentioning the example of Romania. ‘Let’s enforce our laws in Europe when they are likely to be circumvented and if they are not enforced can lead to interference. We did it in Romania and it will obviously have to be done, if necessary, in Germany’, he concluded.”

There we have it – he ‘calmly’ suggests overriding the popular vote in Germany if it does not fit his Globalist point of view.

“’From the moment it is broadcast in Europe with a regulated platform, Elon Musk has to follow European rules. With the AfD, we have to follow them. It is obvious that we will take all measures to ensure that he respects the law. If he does not respect it, there are fines and the possibility of ban’, he continued, recalling that Elon Musk must comply with European rules.”

Did Joe Biden inadvertently admit his son Hunter committed crimes?

Joe Biden on Friday evening delivered remarks on today’s jobs report and his dumpster fire economy.

The US ‘unexpectedly’ added 256,000 jobs in December.

Americans are still unemployed, underemployed or forced to work multiple jobs to make ends meet because of Joe Biden.

But Biden took a victory lap Friday evening during his remarks on the jobs report.

Following his remark, Biden took some questions from reporters.

One reporter asked Biden a ‘gotcha’ about last-minute pardons.

“Sir, on pardons, have you ruled out a pardon for yourself or any other additional members of the family,” a reporter asked Biden.

“Why should I pardon myself? No, I have no contemplation of pardoning myself. I didn’t do anything wrong,” a peeved Joe Biden said.

So Hunter did “something wrong” because he received a blanket pardon from Joe Biden.

Hunter did commit crimes.

Last month Joe Biden issued a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, absolving him of any federal crimes committed between 2014 and 2024.

Hunter was facing federal tax fraud charges in California and felony gun charges in Delaware.

Joe Biden gave his son a blanket pardon after repeatedly claiming he wouldn’t.

In Biden’s statement about his son Hunter’s pardon, he insisted the cases were purely political.

Hunter did nothing wrong according to Joe.

“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son – and that is wrong. There has been an effort to break Hunter – who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me – and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough,” Biden said in his statement.

“A Miracle Has Happened”: James Woods Returns to Find Home “Still Standing” in Fire Ravaged Pacific Palisades Neighborhood

Actor James Woods returned with wife Sara to the couple’s fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Friday, discovering that their home survived the massive fire that started Tuesday and destroyed many of the homes, businesses, and schools in the Los Angeles suburb, including the homes of their neighbors. Like many people who fled their homes during the flash fire, Woods assumed his home was destroyed, given that large flames were literally at his backyard.

Woods posted late Tuesday night he was notified on his iPhone that the smoke detectors had gone off at his home:

Woods was stunned when he returned home on Friday. “A miracle has happened,” Woods posted upon finding his house survived, though he reported the home suffered “smoke and other damage” but is amazingly still “standing” and “intact.”

Woods also told the story of the rescue of an elderly neighbor who was abandoned by a caregiver.

Parts of the Pacific Palisades look like the firebombed cities of World War II, with photos and videos showing block after block of rubble and smoldering ashes from the hills to the Pacific Ocean.

Woods posted photos and video from his neighborhood Friday. His first post was about the rescue of the elderly father of a neighbor:

“The man on the left, Robert Trinkkeller, is a hero. By the grace of God he stayed behind when the evacuation order was given. When I called the man on the right, our neighbor, in Boston to be sure his 94 year-old father had been evacuated, he was devastated that a replacement caregiver had left his father behind.

“Sara and I couldn’t get back up through police barricades, so I called Robert and managed to get him. By the time he got to the elderly father’s house, the house next store was ablaze. I had gotten through to the Fire Services finally, and they met Robert who guided them to the father. His son flew out immediately and today all three of us and Sara put out the fires on our hillside with buckets of pool water. If you are blessed to have such wonderful neighbors, you are luckier than you know.”

Video posted by Woods showing one side of his street “untouched” by the fire and the other destroyed, “One side untouched, the other utter destruction. While we rejoice to find our house intact, in the midst of a hellscape like this, you can only think of your neighbors. I was so certain our house was gone a day ago, but the fickle finger of fate decided otherwise.”

Woods posted video looking down the hill from his back deck, showing the destruction. The video also shows Sara Woods and a neighbor dowsing small fires still burning on the property, “A miracle has happened. We managed to get to our property and our home, that we were told is gone forever, is still standing. In this hellish landscape “standing” is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us. The view from our deck area:”

Woods is promoting a petition calling on Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) to resign over her handling of the Los Angeles area fires this week:
