Mike Pence has revealed what he and Donald Trump discussed during their brief encounter at Jimmy Carter’s funeral.

In an interview with Christianity Today, the former vice president said he congratulated the president-elect on his landslide victory against Kamala Harris.

“He greeted me when he came down the aisle,” Pence explained. “I stood up, extended my hand. He shook my hand.”

”I said, ‘Congratulations, Mr. President,’ and he said, ‘Thanks, Mike.’”

Pence added that he was grateful for the “opportunity to speak to the president” and that he had “appreciated” the encounter.

“I’ve really been blessed at how much I’ve heard from people around the country who saw [our] handshake, and in that handshake, saw some hope that we might be moving past those difficult days.

“That’s certainly my hope.”

He also weighed in on the behavior of his wife, Karen Pence, who ungraciously declined to acknowledge or even look at Trump and his wife Melania during the greetings.

“You’d have to ask my wife about her posture, but we’ve been married 44 years, and she loves her husband, and her husband respects her deeply,” he said.

Having once been the backbone of Trump’s support among Evangelicals, Pence became a widely despised figure after betraying Trump and the entire MAGA movement on January 6th, 2021..

On that fateful day, Pence approved the certification of the 2020 presidential election results, despite evidence of widespread fraud that ultimately tipped the outcome in favor of Joe Biden.

Since then, Pence launched his own humiliating presidential campaign in which he dropped out before the primaries after failing to gain any measure support.

After promising to support the eventual Republican nominee, Pence went back on his word again and refused to endorse Trump in the general election.

Following Trump’s victory, Pence said he was “literally praying” that Trump would not pardon those involved in the January 6th protests.

“I don’t think the president should pardon anyone who assaulted a police officer at the United States Capitol on January 6,” Pence said at the time.

“Karen and I are literally praying that President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance will stand on the commitments that they will make when they raise their right hands on that day.”

Trump has repeatedly promised to pardon some or all of the January 6th protesters on his first day in office.

The tiny Delta Smelt fish have not been seen in the wild in California in over a decade.

And yet, California Democrats flushed annual water flow into the ocean to save this little fish that they can’t even find in its natural habitat.
Now several cities are burnt to the ground.

They sacrificed entire communities for a fish that doesn’t exist.

A 2021 report by Dan Bacher in the Sacramento News revealed that there have been NO DELTA SMELT seen in the wild since 2012.
They’re extinct.

For the seventh September in a row, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has caught zero Delta smelt during its Fall Midwater Trawl Survey of the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta.

The last time Delta smelt – an indicator species for the broader ecological health estuary – were found in CDFW’s September survey was in 2015. Only 5 were caught by state biologists at the time.

After that, the only year that Delta smelt were caught during the entire four-month survey was in 2016, when a total of 8 smelt were reported.

The final results of Fish and Wildlife’s four-month survey of pelagic (open water) fish species, conducted from September through mid-December, won’t be available until around the start of next year. The current September 2022 data is available here on the annual state surveys webpage.

Recent research has shown that the water releases are not providing the benefits to the small fish that they originally thought. Their population numbers are nearly nonexistent in the wild.

A report released by the conservative Pacific Institute found that every year, 59.5 million acre-feet of stormwater goes uncaptured across the United States each year. Approximately 490,000 acre-feet of runoff each year, or roughly 437 million gallons per day, takes place in LA, Long Beach and Anaheim, or roughly 437 million gallons per day. They thought this would save their freshwater minnows like the Delta Smelt.

Democrats never fail to let a crisis go to waste, even if it means the victims potentially getting shortchanged.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, a massive 3,000-acre wildfire raged out of control and engulfed homes in Pacific Palisades, California, on Tuesday afternoon. Shocking and heartbreaking footage has emerged showing people abandoning their cars and running for their lives.

Tragically, several individuals have lost their homes, entire livelihoods, and even their lives over the past several days as fires have spread all across Southern California and show no signs of abating. Meanwhile, firefighters are having issues with water pressure thanks to politicians.

On Friday evening, the leftist Democrat hosts for the podcast Pod Save America announced on X they were hosting California Governor Gavin Newsom to let him continue to blame everyone but himself for the catastrophic wildfires destroying Southern California. Shortly afterward that post, they posted another one where their followers could supposedly ‘help’ the victims of the wildfires.

During their show with Newsom, they also encouraged donors to pony up to help the victims as well.

Not to be outdone, Democratic politicians, including Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), joined the fray.

While this sounds like a nice gesture at first glance, it turns out to be a mirage once one clicks on the donation link. Viewers are sent to a Democratic political action committee/fundraising platform’s website called ActBlue.

As TGP readers may know, ActBlue has been credibly accused of a variety of scandals, including using foreign money laundering to fund federal elections. Moreover, according to the FEC.gov website, potentially thousands upon thousands of individuals whose identities are being stolen to launder millions of dollars for political campaigns and PACs across the country.

Last year, in Texas, residents were shocked to find out that hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to ActBlue were made in their names. Were their identities stolen?

ActBlue almost always takes a percentage of all donations and uses donor sign-ups to populate their email lists. It’s a decent bet they will utilize this opportunity to build their lists at minimum, if not take a cut of the donations.

Assuming this is all true, Democrats across America will benefit at the expense of innocent fire victims. One of the worst catastrophes in American history will be used to help Democrats regain power in Washington, D.C.

It does not get more disgusting than that.

Gina, who lives in Beverly Hills, made a statement to The Gateway Pundit about the California wildfires.

“I live in LA where these fires are burning and we are in chaos and confusion right now. The government spent so much of our tax-paying dollars to raid the Jan 6 defendants and support illegal aliens, yet they had a 30 million dollar funding cut for the fire fighters and fired those firefighters who didn’t take the Covid vaccine.”

“While our whole city burns down, I wake up in the middle of the night choking. We are surrounded by smoke. I had two friends crash at my place for safety. I am on home restrictions, so we can’t leave our state.”

“Gov Newsom wanted to save the smelt fish by draining the water into the ocean. Consequently, letting the real estate burnt to ashes. We all know this was no accident. It seems they want to evacuate the whole state. People are looking for Gavin Newsom and communist Karen Bass.”

Podcast co-host Edward Badalian, also from LA, shared his thoughts on the fires.

“There are millions of people in America and the world worried about the fires in Los Angeles. I live here and have been carefully monitoring the situation since the Malibu fire started, a few weeks before the Palisades fire. At this point, smoke has filled most of the city, and most residents are scared and unsure on what to do, as we are essentially surrounded by multiple large fires.”

“My grandmother was terrified when the Hollywood fire was started only a few miles from her home. I have family members who live near the Eaton fire that are scared for their kids and the home they grew up in. My family is also helping people who needed to evacuate from the Palisades fire and we know many who have lost homes and entire neighborhoods.”

“I want to reiterate the glaringly obvious and give some relevant facts to support the case. These are not ‘wildfires’ in that they happen naturally. This was arson. It fits the MO for previous fires started by leftists in order to blame climate change. If you don’t believe that’s a thing, look up Jeffrey Acord, one of the few Antifa arsonists that was ever caught.”

“The fires in LA serve two purposes for the left: destroy and loot the properties of ‘the rich’ and push the man-made climate change hoax. Biden is already blaming the hoax for these fires. But let’s briefly take a look at their progression.”

“The Malibu fire broke out 3 weeks ago and was contained. It wasn’t bad enough to make a big deal out of. Then the Palisades fire starts nearby along the coast. The Santa Ana winds blow from north to south. How, then, did fires start on the other side of the hills and across the valley to the north near Santa Clarita and Pasadena, or to the East in the Hollywood Hills, when 40mph winds are blowing the embers south into the ocean? They had to be intentionally set.”

“It’s no coincidence then that LA’s mayor Karen Bass gutted the fire department budget and Gavin Newscum sent firefighting supplies to Ukraine while wasting the entire budget of the state on boondoggles that only made homelessness and the infrastructure worse.”

“In California we are sick and tired of the Democrat party cheating in every election to remain in power, taxing us to death, then spending that money on making problems worse so they can justify spending even more the next year. The CAGOP better capitalize on this issue and make firefighting infrastructure bills a centerpiece of their 2026 campaigns.”

“California has heroic and exceptional firefighters, but we have an administration and policies that make it impossible for them to actually prevent small fires from spreading rapidly and don’t provide the resources these men need when large fires do break out. This cannot be allowed to continue. Not one more person should die for the left’s desire to create political cudgels and steal more income from Americans. The money to pay for all of these damages should come out of the pockets of democrat party officials and their cronies.”

Governor’s new plan is to attack government’s wasteful spending.

President-elect Donald Trump’s influence over world, national and state affairs has been on display ever since his landslide victory, in both the Electoral College and popular vote numbers, in November.

He openly challenged Canada’s leadership, and the prime minister’s resignation followed shortly after. He promised action on illegal immigration and Mexican officials began diverting those caravans of would-be illegal aliens heading to the U.S.

Suddenly, too, there are comments that perhaps the Russia-Ukraine war might reach a settlement.

Now Trump’s agenda is hitting at the state level.

He already has set up his appointees in a “Department of Governor Efficiency,” or DOGE, assigned to crack down on the hundreds of billions, even trillions of dollars in wasteful spending by the government. X’s chief, Elon Musk, is one of his leaders in that campaign.

Now the Washington Examiner is reporting that Kelly Ayotte, a Republican governor in New Hampshire, is following suit, with a state Commission of Government Efficiency.

“Signed my first Executive Order to create the Commission on Government Efficiency – or as I like to call it, ‘COGE’! We’re going to roll up our sleeves and find ways to streamline government, cut spending, and create value for our taxpayers,” she told her state’s residents in a social media post.

“New Hampshire is moving in the right direction, and no one deserves more credit for that after four terms at the helm than Gov. Chris Sununu. Thank you, Governor,” she added.

Democrats and other leftists in the state already are in an uproar, accusing Ayotte of “laying the groundwork for massive budget cuts to services that people rely on,” according to state Democrat chief Ray Buckley.

The governor is scheduled to propose her budget to the legislature soon, and lawmakers are faced with state agency requests for nearly $17 billion.

Republicans held a differing perspective.

“I think it’s a brilliant approach,” Republican Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais told Fox News. “Appointing a commission like this to go after any kind of bloat, I think, is a perfect approach and certainly going to be really beneficial for state government and also certainly helps us downstream at the local level as well.”
