Avi Abelow: Will President Trump Put an End to the Axis of Evil and Bring Peace to the Mideast?

The streets are in flames as unrest spreads, with factions within Turkey rising against Erdoğan’s rule. His dreams of leading the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood to dominate the region are crashing down in real time.

This is just the latest chapter in an unbelievable and historic transformation of the Middle East. On October 7th, 2023, when it seemed that Israel was on the brink of destruction due to the Shia-Iranian and Sunni Qatari partnership to destroy Israel, it was beyond imagination that in just eighteen months, we would see the changes we have. Who would have believed, on that dark day when Hamas launched its barbaric attack on Israeli communities, that just months later, after an Israeli counterattack, the Middle East would look like this.

Hezbollah has been crushed. What was once the most feared Iranian proxy is now a shattered force, its military capabilities decimated by relentless Israeli strikes. Nasrallah, once parading himself as untouchable, is now gone.

Hamas is in the process of being destroyed. The terror group that ruled Gaza with an iron fist is no longer a governing force. Its infrastructure is in ruins, its leadership dead or on the run, and its dream of eliminating Israel has been buried under the rubble of its own terror tunnels.

Iran’s Air Defense System is neutralized. Israel has systematically weakened Iran’s ability to defend itself from airstrikes, proving that all Islamic Republic’s threats from now on are nothing but bluster, so long as we stop it from becoming a nuclear power.

The Iranian Axis of Evil is in collapse. Iran, once the mastermind of a network of terror groups stretching from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, is now struggling to maintain control. The so-called “axis of resistance” is breaking apart.

The Assad Regime has been toppled. What once seemed like an unshakable dictatorship, propped up by Russia and Iran, is now in chaos. Syria is basically no longer, and Bashar al-Assad’s reign is effectively over.

Lebanon is engulfed in a Sunni-Shia War. Turkish-backed Sunni factions and Syrian Sunni refugees are now at war in northern Lebanon against Hezbollah and its Iranian backers. The country is descending into full-scale conflict, no longer a functioning state but a battleground for competing foreign interests.

As mentioned above, Turkey is on the brink of Civil War. Erdogan, who sought to challenge Israel and expand his influence, now faces a rebellion within his own borders. His Islamist vision for the region is crumbling, and Turkey is spiraling into internal conflict.

Israel’s Strategic Triumph

Israel was forced into this war, Swords of Iron, but it has turned into a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reshape the Middle East. And Israel is emerging as the sole regional superpower able to protect the minorities in the region who want protection. The Jewish state is proving to the world what we have always known: a strong Israel is not just necessary for Jews, it is necessary for the entire region.

For decades, Western powers, including our friends in Europe, and global elites lectured Israel about making itself smaller, weaker, and more “flexible” in the face of enemies who openly called for genocide. The truth is finally clear: Israel must be as big as possible, as strong as possible.

A powerful, sovereign Israel does not just protect Jews. It provides stability in a region plagued by radical Islamic terror. It is the only force standing between other minorities in the Middle East: Christians, Druze, Yazidis, and moderate Muslims, and total annihilation at the hands of genocidal Sunni and Shia Islamist regimes.

The Future of the Middle East

As our enemies implode, Israel must move forward with confidence and without fear. This is not the time for hesitation or self-doubt. The deep state, the globalist elites, and the weak-minded appeasers all said Israel must “compromise” to survive. They were wrong.

The Middle East is changing before our eyes. One by one, those who sought to destroy us are being destroyed themselves.

This is our moment to secure Israel’s future, expand our presence in our ancestral homeland, and ensure that no enemy ever again dares to threaten the Jewish people in our ancestral homeland. The lesson of history is being written right now:

A strong and proud Jewish state of Israel is the key to peace, security, and freedom—not just for Jews, but for all who seek a future free from the chains of Sunni and Shia Islamist tyranny in the Middle East.
