Biden Admin Funneled at Least $1 Trillion into DEI-Related Projects, Study Finds
March 10, 2025
The Biden regime spent at least $1 trillion on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)-related intitiatives, a watchdog report has found.
A study by the Functional Government Initiative (FGI) and the Center for Renewing America (CRA), entitled DEI Spending in the Biden Administration, found a staggering amount of funds allocated by such programs, which typically involve discriminating against groups seen as excessively privileged in favor of racial and sexual minorities.
During the Biden presidency, the federal governmented implemented Equity Action Plans (EAPs), which served blueprint for embedding DEI across the federal government.
While framed as efforts to remove barriers for “marginalized” communities in areas like procurement and grants, they instead fueled a surge in DEI spending, diverting resources from core agency missions.
The administration also systematically infused DEI language into every aspect of federal governance, reshaping priorities and policies.
The study authors said in a press release:
The study identified 460 programs across 24 government agencies that diverted resources to DEI initiatives. At least $1 trillion was infused with DEI principles. Here are some examples taken from various EAPs:
– The Defense Department planned to “Integrate environmental/economic justice tools.”
– FEMA found the need to “Install equity as a foundation of emergency management.”
– The Department of Labor “must embed equity in a sustainable manner that recognizes the multiple and overlapping identities held by workers.”President Trump’s swift actions and executive orders stopped these efforts. To ensure a future president can’t just reverse course upon taking office, Congressional action could banish DEI philosophies for good.
Our report includes suggestions for lawmakers to consider for eliminating DEI and other radical ideologies—detailed legislative proposals that could prevent the resurrection of poisonous ideas and practices in our national government.
The elimination of DEI across the federal government has been a top priority of the administration from the moment Trump took office in January.
Their example, as well as a recent ruling by the Supreme Court against racial discrimination in college admission, has challenged the legal foundations of this ideology and resulted in many major companies scaling back or cancelling their DEI initiatives.
Some of the largest companies that have done so include Amazon, Walmart, McDonald’s, Meta, Google, Blackrock, and Target.
The administration is also targeting public education. Last month, the Department of Education issued an ultimatum to all federally funded educational institutions to eliminate DEI or face the complete withdrawal of federal funding.
