In a Senate chamber that has seen more backroom deals and spineless compromises than bold conservative action, Mitch McConnell, the epitome of a RINO, took to the podium to deliver his final speech as Senate Republican Leader.

The Kentucky senator’s comments, filled with self-praise and subtle digs at his conservative critics, summed up a career marked by giving in to opposition.

McConnell, who has held the reins of Senate GOP leadership since 2007, boasted about his so-called “accomplishments,” which often came at the expense of the conservative values he was elected to uphold.

What McConnell sees as “making a difference,” many conservatives recognize as selling out.

His track record includes rubber-stamping reckless spending bills, refusing to fight tooth and nail against Democrat overreach, and undermining true conservatives who dare to challenge the establishment swamp he so comfortably inhabits.

Transcript of his speech:

“It’s not entirely clear yet how or when Congress will conclude its end-of-the-year business. But when the Senate does adjourn, I’ll just about mark the end of my tenure as a Republican leader. I’ve made it clear this year that our colleagues haven’t seen the last of me. I still fully intend to keep frustrating my critics in the years ahead. But while I still command this particular podium, I thought I might make a few observations I’ve picked up along the way.

Folks come to Washington to do one of two things: either to make a point or to make a difference. To make a point or to make a difference. It’s usually not that hard to tell who’s doing which, especially in situations like the one we’re in right now.

The people who are here to make a difference recognize pretty quickly you never get everything you want, but often you can get quite a lot. And the folks who prefer to make a point have a funny habit of reminding us out loud how poorly they understand that fact. I don’t care to count how many times I’ve reminded our colleagues and our House counterparts how harmful it is to shut the government down, and how foolish it is to bet your own side won’t take the blame for it. Recent history doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for interpretation on that one. When you try to use normal government functions as a bargaining chip, you pay a political price.

That said, if I took it personally every time my advice went unheeded, I probably wouldn’t have spent as long as I have in this particular job. Getting a legislative outcome in the Senate requires large majorities of people who don’t share all the same views to actually work together toward outcomes where they do see eye to eye. We’ve had divided government here most of the time I’ve been in this job. Neither side has owned the place. You have a choice: do nothing, or try to find things you can agree on and do them together.

With the exception of just one short period of a few months, this place hasn’t seen a filibuster-proof Senate in 50 years. Getting things done almost inevitably requires dealing with a lot of people who disagree on almost everything. And in the interests of stable, enduring outcomes, that’s actually a good thing. Anyone who comes to the Senate hoping for rigid hardline conformity and prompt action is barking up the wrong tree.

I’ve heard folks who like making a point say they’d rather serve with 30 colleagues who all agree than a majority who didn’t. So, if you want to accomplish absolutely nothing, you can sign up with a group that’d rather serve with 30 people who all agreed than those who had differences. Everyone I know who’s interested in making a difference understands pretty quickly that it requires that interaction in order to achieve something.

Leading means letting folks take a walk when they need to and rallying together when we need to. I’ve been so grateful over the years to lead majorities that embrace these necessary rhythms. I’m gratified by the trust they placed in me repeatedly to determine what the moment requires, and I’m so proud of the outcomes we’ve achieved for our country. I’m looking forward to spending the next Congress as a member of another majority, in a set of capable hands. I’ll be rooting hard for my friend John Thune and the leadership team our conference has assembled around him. There’ll be no shortage of important work to do, and I’ll stand ready to do my part.

Back in 2007, on my first day in this job, I told our colleagues, “The Senate has no claim on greatness unless its power is put to great ends.” And I stated my view that the first duty of government is the defense and protection of its citizens. The Senate is great. So is the nation that it represents. But today, our nation faces one great challenge from forces betting on our decline. And so that first duty of government is the task to which I’ll devote my efforts in the coming years.

Our prosperity and security depend on an order forged by American leadership and American strength, both of which require our urgent attention. The arsenal of democracy must be restored. Peace through strength must once again actually mean something other than just a slogan. And I’m going to do everything in my power to help this continue to be the greatest country in the world. No one can do what we do internationally, and that’s where I’m going to put my focus for the next two years.

Thank you all for the opportunity.”

The Biden regime is set to rescind the $10 million bounty on Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, leader of the jihadist terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), following his pivotal role in toppling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

This decision coincided with al-Jolani’s initial direct talks with U.S. diplomats in Damascus.

Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, now referring to himself by his birth name as Ahmed al-Sharaa (Muhammad al-Jawlani), is the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a Syrian militant group that evolved from the al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra.

Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, Jolani and HTS now control significant parts of Syria, including the capital city, Damascus.

He remains closely associated with the ANF faction and its al-Qaeda ties, raising questions about governance, stability, and the group’s true intentions.

Al-Jolani has been working to persuade the international media and foreign powers that he has transitioned from a terrorist commander to a statesman, but skepticism remains about whether such a transformation is genuine. Even if his intentions are sincere, HTS does not control all of Syria.

Power is shared with groups like the Syrian National Army (SNA), a Turkish-backed coalition of rebel factions operating primarily in northern Syria.

Now, the Biden regime is set to rescind the $10 million bounty placed under the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program on Abu Mohammad al-Jolan.

However, the U.S. State Department, while lifting the bounty, continues to designate HTS as a terrorist organization.

Financial Time reported:

The US has said it will remove a $10mn bounty for Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the Islamist group that spearheaded the overthrow of Syria’s Assad regime, in a sign that Washington is willing to engage with the new leadership.

In exchange, Jolani, who now goes by his birth name, Ahmed al-Sharaa, agreed that terrorist groups could not be allowed “to pose a threat inside of Syria or externally, including to the US and our partners in the region”, Barbara Leaf, the State Department’s top Middle East official, said on Friday.

Leaf met Jolani in Damascus earlier in the day and told reporters that lifting the bounty would allow US officials to engage with the rebel leader without having to turn him over to US law enforcement.

Leaf said her meeting with Jolani was “quite good, very productive, detailed.”

“He came across as pragmatic,” she said, adding that he made “moderate” statements on equal protections for women and minorities. “We will judge by deeds, not just by words,” she added.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has accused Biden’s government of playing a covert role in the ongoing upheaval in Syria, asserting that the timing of events leading to the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime is no coincidence.

Speaking to former FOX News anchor Clayton Morris on Redacted, Massie implicated the “deep state” in orchestrating a chain of events aimed at fulfilling long-standing geopolitical objectives.

“I think that was the signal to the deep state to go in for the kill and get this over with because Trump and some of his nominees, like Tulsi Gabbard, are signaling that we are not going to carry on the policies of Obama and the deep state,” Massie said.

“It’s clear as day to me. Whether it was led by the United States or whether we just encouraged it, definitely the timing is not a mistake. When you find a turtle on a fence post, it didn’t get there by accident,” he added.

Suspect in Magdeburg Terror Attack is Saudi Activist Who Helped Migrants Flee to Germany — Once Featured in BBC Interview Renouncing Islam
December 21, 2024

The suspect in the Magdeburg terror attack is understood to be a migrant from Saudi Arabia by the name of Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen.

According to the German state broadcaster DW, at least two people have been confirmed dead, and up to 60 more are reported injured after a car rammed into a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg.

SHOCK VIDEO: At Least One Dead, Several Injured After Driver Plows Through Christmas Market in Germany in Terror Attack – Update: Suspect From Saudi Arabia

While details about the killer's identity are still being investigated, Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen was reportedly granted asylum in Germany in 2016 after fleeing from his native Saudi Arabia because he longer believed in Islam.

In an interview with the BBC back in 2019, Taleb explained how he had set up a website to help people flee Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia and move to Germany.

"Hi, my name's Taleb," he said in the video currently circulating across social media. "I'm from Saudi Arabia. I'm an activist. I created a website to help people seeking asylum, especially from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region."

The BBC reported at the time:

Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen lives in Germany now – but there was once a time where he lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, and was incapable of safely expressing his atheism.

After successfully seeking asylum in Germany, he decided to set up the website wearesaudis.net to create an information resource for others to do the same.

It’s now a go-to resource for people all over the Arab region – but why are most of the people that approach Taleb for help women?

We spoke to an Emirati woman - we're calling her Dina to protect her identity - about how she used Taleb’s site and the ex-Muslim online network to escape.

Given Al-Abdulmohsen's apparent disdain for Islam, it is unclear exactly what his motivations were in carrying out such a heinous crime.

There is speculation that he may have suffered from mental illness, after uncovered social media posts showed him including the blaming the German governemnt for the “killing of Socrates" as well as leading a political persecution against him.

Questions also remain about his political identity. While he sometimes praised figures such as Elon Musk and the anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson, German newspaper Der Spiegel says he identified as a leftist.

Pennsylvania Woman Faces Charges for Registering Dead and Fake Voters

Pennsylvania Woman Faces Charges for Registering Dead and Fake Voters

Pennsylvania Woman Faces Charges for Registering Dead and Fake Voters
December 21, 2024

Delaware County prosecutors charged a Collingdale woman with voter fraud.

Delaware County prosecutors announced charges Thursday against Jennifer Hill, a Collingdale woman accused of attempting to register dead and fake voters.

Hill, a paid canvasser for the New Pennsylvania Project—a self-proclaimed ‘nonpartisan’ group launched in 2021—now faces 40 criminal counts, including four felony charges of forgery.

Prosecutors allege Hill submitted more than 300 voter registration forms through a state-provided app, with 129 of them deemed invalid. Among her fraudulent attempts, Hill reportedly tried to register three deceased individuals, including her own father, and even fabricated a voter using her grandmother’s name but with an altered birthdate, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

While no ballots were allegedly cast from these fraudulent registrations, the case has reignited conservative calls for tighter voter registration laws and greater oversight of groups funded or affiliated with Democrat initiatives.

“I can’t say I’m totally surprised, given the egregious lack of integrity one finds in that particular political Party involved,” one X user wrote.

The investigation, led by Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer, represents the first voter fraud-related charges stemming from the 2024 election in the county.

In addition to Hill, an 84-year-old man, Philip Moss, faces charges for double-voting in Florida and Pennsylvania. Although Moss’s actions resulted in one fraudulent ballot, the scale of Hill’s attempted fraud has drawn the most attention.

“Let this pair of cases send a message out there that no matter how busy we are … we are attentive to the signs of fraud,” said Jim Allen, the Delaware County election director.

Video via End Wokeness:

More from NBC Philadelphia:

Through an app – provided by the Pennsylvania Department of State – Hill tried to register 310 people to vote between April 2024 and September 2024, according to investigators. Stollsteimer said 181 of those people were successfully registered while 129 were not successfully registered.

Stollsteimer said the state requires information – including a driver’s license and the last four digits of a social security number – during the registration process. Names that the state can’t verify are sent to the election office and then contacted through a Help America Vote Act (HAVA) letter which requests more information for verification.

Investigators noticed multiple names sent by Hill through the app that were variations of the same name with different addresses and emails, according to Stollsteimer. This led to an investigation in which officials determined Hill tried to fraudulently register at least four people, including her dead father, her grandmother, an unidentified person and a person who died in her home in 2011.

[…]

Stollsteimer said Hill successfully registered one of the four through the state system.

[…]

Hill was taken into custody and arraigned on Thursday, Dec. 19. She is being held in the Delaware County Prison after failing to post bail. Online court records don’t list legal representation who could speak on her behalf.

While Hill is in custody, Stollsteimer said the investigation is not over and they’re still looking into the names she tried to register.

Democrats and their media allies launched a coordinated disinformation campaign this week, attempting to pin the blame for stalled pediatric cancer research funding on Elon Musk and President Donald Trump. The reality, however, reveals a much different story.

For months, the GOP-controlled House has been ahead of the curve, passing a comprehensive funding bill for pediatric cancer research back in March.

But Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s Democratic-controlled Senate let the legislation languish for nine months—only taking action after being exposed.

The firestorm began when a 1,500-page Democrat-Johnson continuing resolution (CR) packed with unrelated pork was shelved following public criticism from Musk and Trump, who vowed to challenge any Republican voting for the bloated measure.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wasted no time launching an unfounded attack, claiming that Musk was single-handedly responsible for blocking pediatric cancer funding.

“Republicans are marching America to a painful government shutdown that will crash the economy and hurt working class Americans because they would rather enact massive tax cuts for their billionaire donors than fund cancer research for children,” Jeffries told the press.

WATCH:

The Democrat propaganda machine was in full swing, with left-wing media figures amplifying the narrative. MSNBC reporter Sam Stein falsely claimed, “Pediatric cancer research advocates spent years building up to this week. They celebrated when their priorities were included in the CR [Continuing Resolution]. And then, Elon began tweeting.”

Lying Pocahontas Sen. Elizabeth Warren joined the smear campaign, absurdly tweeting that Musk and Republicans were actively blocking funding for child cancer research.

“We now know what it looks like when Elon Musk calls for “government efficiency.” For starters? Cuts to funding for child cancer research. I wish I were making that up,” she wrote.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez didn’t miss her chance to pile on, claiming, “They’re cutting healthcare to kids because Elon gets his money from Defense contracts so they’ll never touch the military budget.”

Here’s the truth the Democrats and their media allies don’t want you to know: The House GOP passed a standalone pediatric cancer research funding bill in March.

However, it was Schumer’s Senate that stalled the bill for nearly a year, holding it hostage for leverage in broader budget negotiations.

The H.R.3391, the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0, was passed by the House of Representatives on March 5, 2024, with an overwhelming majority vote of 384-4.

The bill reauthorizes the Kids First Pediatric Research Program at the National Institutes of Health with authorized funding of $12.6 million annually from 2024 to 2028.

Despite initial support, the bill remained stalled for several months in Chuck Schumer’s Senate.

Interestingly after being exposed, the U.S. Senate has unanimously passed H.R. 3391, the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0, by voice vote.

J6 Political Prisoner, Barry Ramey, Reunites With His Mother in an Emotionally Gripping Video

Guest post: Osprey Sensei (On X: @Osprey_Sensei)

J6 political prisoner Barry Ramey, like so many other J6ers, went to hell and back while in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Everything from solitary confinement, egregious First Amendment violations, harassment from officers, mail from the outside being denied and withheld, medical neglect and inappropriately scrutinized by the BOP’s counterterrorism unit (CTU) despite never being charged or convicted of anything related to terrorism. Yet he remained unbroken.

***Help Barry and his family rebuild here***

This touching moment when he surprises his mother at work unannounced, shows the love and emotion between mom and son, after being reunited for the first time while not wearing a prison jumpsuit and behind bars.

When people are sent to prison, their families are held emotionally hostage.

His mother, Mary Ann, who faced off with a brain tumor while he was incarcerated and faces other medical complications, was left to wonder if she would ever see her son a free man while still on this earth. God willing, that question would be answered while on her lunch break at her job when she looked up to see her son surprise her with flowers and a warm embrace where her emotions can no longer be contained.

(Warning! Tear Jerker.)

When asked how he felt about this moment, Barry Ramey had this to say:

“I went to bed every night praying God would grant me the reality of honoring his commandment by honoring my mother. I’ve always loved my mother from the bottom of my heart, but I have not always been the greatest son. I thank the Lord that I have a chance to make up for lost time and treat her like the queen that she is.”

***Help the Ramey family start over ***

Barry now starts his life from scratch. Financially devastated, and now in a halfway house where the BOP has yet to approve his job, leaving him in limbo without a way to provide for his family or even leave the facility for home passes.

All we can do is pray that we see many more videos like this in the near future.

Please support Barry and his family as they attempt to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and continue his mission to make America great again! Follow Barry Ramey on X @RameyIsRight and Givesendgo.com/BarryRamey
