I’ve received many inquiries about the status of the One Big, Beautiful Bill—accompanied by the question, “How is reconciliation going?”

Rather than delving into the details of reconciliation, a complicated tool that allows the House and Senate to write separate instructions to craft a final budget bill—let me break it down the way real Americans would: by looking at the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

The Good: Cutting Taxes

The Trump Tax Cuts included in the bill will make permanent the largest tax cut in American history for middle and working-class Americans.

The significance of getting these signed into law cannot be overstated.

Codifying and delivering this top campaign promise of President Trump will put an extra $5,000 in the pockets of hardworking Americans, will deliver relief for small businesses, families, farmers, and seniors, and will incentivize Made in America investments. Once the Trump Tax Cuts are signed into law, the American economy will soar like we’ve never seen.

The Bad: Medicaid Work Requirements Delayed, Xbox Welfare Lives On

If there’s one thing American workers and President Trump despise—it’s being ripped off. Obamacare, President Barack Obama’s most expansive program, has been ripping off the American taxpayer for years on end through its drastic expansion of Medicaid.

Instead of prioritizing pregnant women, children, and individuals with disabilities, this program has been co-opted by able-bodied adults.

The federal government currently covers 90% of healthcare costs for able-bodied men, who should be in the workforce, but only 50% to 77% for pregnant women. It’s outrageous.

Congress’s current reconciliation bill does include new work requirements for able-bodied adults, but in Washington, you’ve got to read the fine print. Instead of taking transformative action today, the House has punted the implementation of work requirements to 2029—giving our able-bodied video gamers four more years of free healthcare and time on the couch.

The Ugly: Savings Left on the Table

Right now, Congress is agonizing over $1.2 trillion in net spending reductions, which is a measly number considering we are $36 trillion in debt today.

DOGE has done a fantastic job uncovering egregious government waste, fraud, and abuse in federal agencies, and Congress should be just as eager to rake in the low hanging fruit to save trillions of dollars.

Today, through the reconciliation process, Congress has a historic opportunity to deliver major victories for the American people.

Regarding reconciliation, my message to my colleagues is simple: don’t leave easy wins on the table.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to testify in a Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions hearing today at 1:30 pm ET.

His testimony will focus on the White House’s budget request in the Big Beautiful Bill, which includes $500 million to complete his MAHA objectives.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kennedy testified on the budget requests before the House Appropriations Committee.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, he schooled purple-haired Rep. Rosa DeLauro in an epic exchange after she tried to blame him for the spread of measles across the country.

It can be recalled that Cassidy, who infamously voted to impeach President Trump following the J6 protests, was considered a swing vote on Kennedy's nomination due to concerns over RFK's views on vaccines.

Kennedy will make his first appearance as health secretary before Cassidy’s powerful Senate health committee on Wednesday, when he’s expected to face intense scrutiny about the thousands of job he’s eliminated at the Department of Health and Human Services, the steep cuts he’s made to vaccination campaigns and his response to a measles outbreak that’s sickened 1,000 people.

He will speak about the agency’s budget request for the year, which includes a $500 million boost for his “Make America Healthy Again” initiative to promote nutrition and healthier lifestyles. The proposed budget also makes deep cuts, including to infectious disease prevention, maternal health and preschool programs.

The secretary plans to “share his vision on how HHS’ transformation will improve health outcomes, eliminate redundancies to save the American taxpayer, and streamline operations to improve efficiency and service,” HHS said in a statement to The Associated Press.

Kennedy’s supporters, meanwhile, have viewed his first three months in the job as a successful delivery of “MAHA” agenda items: He’s pressured food companies to ditch artificial dyes, promised to study the cause of autism, vowed to reverse fluoride recommendations and earned buy-in from several Republican governors to ban soda from the food stamp program, for example.

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) got completely humiliated on two occasions during a hearing because he decided to champion the most infamous MS-13 gangbanger in the world.

This morning, the House Homeland Security Committee held a hearing to address the fiscal 2026 budget for the department. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem addressed the committee.

The hearing came a day after the first federal judge allowed the Trump administration to continue deportation flights to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act.

Naturally, the ruling triggered Goldman, who got even angrier after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tried to include a fundamental truth about Garcia in the committee record.

“An appellate board agreed that ICE officers…” MTG began before Goldman interrupted.

“Mr. Goldman, the floor is not yours right now!” Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) shouted. “She has the floor!”

MTG tried again to enter the post into the record before a livid Goldman screamed, “She’s not answering the question, sir!”

After more shouting between Green and Goldman, MTG was allowed to continue.

“A Maryland county gang unit agreed he’s MS-13, a reliable confidential informant agreed he’s MS-13…An appellate board agreed that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, your Maryland man, is MS-13,” MTG said.

“She is misstating the record and the facts; that is not accurate,” Goldman whined. “Therefore, I object to that being introduced…”

“Can I explain?!” Goldman shouted after Green tried to rein him in. “There is no final court order that is a member…You (pointing to MTG) should put all that evidence before a judge…But you’re misstating what that evidence is.

After Green sided with MTG, a panicked Goldman interjected again.

“Can I review?” he asked, to which Green replied with a loud “no.”

After Green announced they would vote on submitting MTG’s document, Goldman again went berserk.

“Do not interrupt me again!” Green yelled at Goldman.

Things got worse for Goldman a short time later in the hearing when he continued to champion the Salvadorian gangster and credibly accused wife-beater. Noem finally had enough of his nonsense and dropped this savage yet truthful comment:

“It’s got to be extremely discouraging to be one of your constituents. To see you fight for a terrorist like this and not fight for them is extremely alarming to me.”

New York Attorney General Leticia James was alerted of a conspiracy to suppress life-saving pharmaceutical drugs in 2019, but chose to ignore credible whistleblower warnings in favor of building her lawfare case for Donald Trump.

Whistleblower Patrick Girondi has been fighting for decades on a cure for beta thalassemia, a disease negatively affecting the production of hemoglobin in the afflicted, after the disease was discovered in his two-year-old son, Rocco.

Girondi was an early investor in gene therapy, coming up with a treatment for beta thalassemia as well as sickle-cell anemia, a similar disease that is prevalent among black people.

James looked the other way after she was presented with the evidence by Girondi, preferring to use her resources to build a bogus case against President Trump instead of using her authority to clamp down on corporate corruption that is keeping life-saving drugs out of the hands of black people across New York.

THE BACKSTORY

Girondi’s quest began after his son Rocco was diagnosed with beta thalassemia and not expected to live past the age of 14.

Presently, Rocco is forced to get blood transfusions every 18 days and takes 10 pills each day to prevent toxic iron from building up in his blood and organs as the potential cure is suppressed from him and the public.

After his son’s diagnosis, Girondi became an unlikely pioneer in the controversial field of gene therapy, which was looked at as “science fiction” in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Girondi made stunning progress in the field, and he eventually caught the eyes of the corporate giants as he hoped to mainstream his work.

He was locked into a long legal battle with the gene-therapy firm Bluebird Bio and the Sloan Kettering Institute (SKI), the research facility connected to the renowned cancer treatment center.

Girondi’s firm, Errant Gene Therapeutics, alleged in court documents that they were coerced by SKI into divulging details on a potentially groundbreaking treatment.

Girondi gave an important vector to SKI in 2010 under false pretenses, believing that it would help move the treatment forward to clinical trials.

The SKI then buried his treatment in favor of Bluebird Bio’s more expensive treatment.

Girondi believes the problems began in 2010 when a new President and CEO of Sloan Kettering with a financial conflict of interest rose to the position.

Dr. Craig B. Thompson served as the President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2010 to 2022. Dr. Thompson has deep ties to Third Rock Ventures, the venture capital fund responsible for financing Bluebird.

Court proceedings have repeatedly vindicated Girondi, who was cynically discredited and painted as insane by corporate insiders.

Bluebird admitted in a Nov. 2010 presentation that one of the positives of partnering with SKI is that the deal “eliminates the most threatening competitor.”

Another email disclosed to the public talked about the “need to shut…down” Girondi.

Greed is the obvious factor behind suppressing this treatment. Bluebird Bio was able to raise the treatment price to $3.1 million per patient from $750,000-$800,000 offered by Girondi’s firm.

Because Girondi’s therapy was suppressed, they are able to rake in countless more billions worth of profits for their shareholders at the direct expense of patients who are squeezed and forced to suffer and die if they cannot bear the immense cost.

Girondi describes the corporate CEOs who he has dealt with as “criminal insider traders.” His tale is all too familiar in the era of corporate capture of regulatory firms.

Countless byzantine regulations mandated by the federal government serve as a legal labyrinth to stifle innovation, crush the individual and maximize Big Pharma’s profit margins with the court system offering little recourse for those victimized.

“As a whole, [the pharmaceutical industry] is a criminal organization. Why do you think everyone wants to have transgenders? Well, because the poor people have to do hormones that cost anywhere between $3,500 and $10,000 per month. Big Pharma is pushing that,” Girondi said.

LETICIA JAMES’ FAILURE

This is the health regime that has resulted in millions lionizing Luigi Mangione, the alleged assassin accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a New York City street corner.

When Girondi approached Leticia James with evidence of this corruption, she had a chance to demonstrate through her actions that black lives matter, standing up to corporate corruption as black lives hung in the balance.

“In 2019, I go to Leticia James. I say, ‘Hey, you got criminals over here.’ I got all the proof, here’s all the proof. Please, they’re costing the lives of sickle cell disease patients. You got to go after them,” Girondi said.

“I am having so many meetings with Leticia James’ office…They keep telling me they don’t have resources…The neediest black lives are Sickle Cell disease patients. You want to forget about going after Trump and let’s go after these bad guys?” Girondi continued.

Leticia James was too enamored with her political agenda, believing that she would be the one who would bring down Donald J. Trump and build her career from that.

Unfortunately for her ambitions, James’ attacks on Trump were so overreaching, low IQ and absurd that they alerted many more people to the scope of the lawfare being pursued against Trump, only enhancing his credibility among the electorate and leading to his political comeback in 2024.

James lost her chance to be a crusader for the little guy and help black people by pursuing the corporate corruption case against Girondi. Now, she faces potential jail time and will be remembered as one of the most corrupt elected officials in American history.

Meanwhile, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has pledged to make gene therapy for sickle cell disease a top priority for his office. The Trump administration has a chance to make right what Leticia James helped make wrong.

One of the most embarrassing members of Congress got completely schooled by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after she tried to blame him for the spread of measles across the country.

As TGP readers know, the corporate media has trumpeted the number of measles cases spreading across America to smear the Trump Administration, particularly RFK Jr.

These hacks see the rise of this infamous childhood disease as an opportunity to discredit the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) agenda and create a new so-called scandal within the Trump Administration.

There are currently about 1,100 cases of the highly contagious disease in America, mostly from unvaccinated individuals who likely arrived in America illegally. But purple-haired Rep. Rosa DeLauro took the opportunity to smear RFK Jr. during a hearing before the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee’s health subcommittee.

“Measles, a disease eliminated in the United States just decades ago, has now claimed the lives of three Americans, including two children who died needlessly, and over 1,000 are confirmed to have contracted the disease,” said DeLauro in a transcript obtained by Reuters.

“All while you peddle unfounded and dangerous vaccine skepticism, spread lies and misinformation about people living with autism,” she added.

This is a lie, of course. RFK, Jr. has indeed told Americans that they should vaccinate their children against the measles and has long said he is okay with vaccines in general as long as they are safe.

The HHS Secretary was rightfully angry over the disgusting smear blaming him for the outbreak, when he has no control over (the states largely manage childhood vaccinations). Moreover, DeLauro left out a series of inconvenient truths, which RFK Jr. was more than happy to share.

“Let me address your first issue because I want to correct you. We have about 1,100 measles cases in this country,” RFK Jr. began. The growth rate last year was 15 additional, so we have plateaued.”

RFK Jr. then dropped some more damning facts that may surprise Americans. Europe and Canada have far more cases of measles, while Mexico has fewer than the United States.

Moreover, cases in Mexico are rising fairly rapidly.

“Mexico has roughly the same number (of cases) with a third of our population, and they got 300 extra cases last week,” RFK Jr. explained. “Canada has more measles, 1,500. They have one eighth of our population.”

“Western Europe has about 6,000 cases, which is 10 times the number that we have. You are wrong about what you said earlier.”

Gov. Tim Walz, the Minnesota National Guard, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt have reportedly all been briefed on preparations for potential riots if former police officer Derek Chauvin is granted a presidential pardon.

Chauvin, of course, was the officer filmed kneeling on drug addict George Floyd during his fatal interaction with police. His death caused nationwide deadly Black Lives Matter riots throughout the summer of 2020.

According to a report from local station KSTP, “Multiple sources told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that Gov. Tim Walz, the Minnesota National Guard, Mayor Jacob Frey and Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt have all been briefed on preparations for possible civil unrest if President Donald Trump pardons former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin for his federal conviction of killing George Floyd.”

“Sources also told KSTP the Minnesota Department of Corrections is ready to pick up Chauvin at a federal penitentiary in Arizona, and bring him back to Oak Park Heights Prison in Minnesota to serve the remainder of his 22-and-a-half-year sentence,” the report added.

However, antifa-supporting Attorney General Keith Ellison told MSNBC over the weekend that Chauvin will not be released.

“He still owes Minnesota 22-and-a-half years. And, he’s going to do it either in Minnesota or somewhere, but he’s not getting out,” Ellison asserted.

On Monday, Gov. Walz told the media, “No indication whether they’re going to do it, but I think it behooves us to be prepared for it. With this presidency, it seems like something they would do.”

The former officer is currently serving two state and federal 21-year sentences for violating Floyd’s civil rights and second-degree murder.

Chauvin was stabbed 22 times by fellow inmate John Turscak at the medium-security Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Tucson, Arizona, in 2023.

President Donald Trump has not publicly indicated if he is considering pardoning Chauvin.
