How Did Senator John Fetterman Become One of the Most Reasonable Democrats on Trump’s Cabinet Nominees?
December 17, 2024

As the Gateway Pundit recently reported, Democrat Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania has met with Trump’s pick for Defense, Pete Hegseth and Trump’s pick for U.N. Ambassador, Elise Stefanik.

Some people on the left are angry at Fetterman over this, while people on the right are encouraged. How and when did John Fetterman become one of the most reasonable Democrats in the Senate?

Fetterman recently posted on Twitter/X reaffirming his intentions to keep an open mind on Trump’s nominees, saying that he would rely on his informed opinion.

Breitbart News reports:

Sen. John Fetterman: My Vote for Trump’s Nominees Will ‘Come from an Open-Mind and an Informed Opinion’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) expressed that his vote for President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees would “come from an open-mind and an informed opinion.”

In a post on X, Fetterman wrote that he believes it is “appropriate and the responsibility” of a United States senator to speak with Trump’s nominees.

Fetterman added that he had met with House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Trump’s pick for U.N. Ambassador, and Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense.

“I believe that it’s appropriate and the responsibility of a U.S. Senator to have a conversation with President-elect Trump’s nominees,” Fetterman wrote. “That’s why I met with Elise Stefanik and Pete Hegseth, just wrapped with Tulsi Gabbard, and look forward to my meetings with others soon.”

Other Democrats could learn a thing or two from Fetterman.

No one is going to be surprised if Fetterman votes for many of Trump’s nominees. Isn’t that kind of amazing?
