Joe Biden’s EPA Grants California Permission to Ban All New Gas-Powered Car Sales by 2035
December 18, 2024

Joe Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Wednesday granted California permission to ban all new gas car sale by 2035.

In August 2022 California passed a law banning new sales of gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

The Biden Regime is impressed with California and said its ban on gas-powered vehicles is a model for the rest of the country.

It is unclear how California will charge all of these vehicles when they can’t even keep the lights on during heatwaves and days with gusty winds.

There is no infrastructure to support this plan.

Fox News reported:

The Biden administration has officially granted California permission to ban new gas car sales in the state by 2035.

California set a strict emissions standard that would ban new gas cars in the state by 2035, but officials needed to obtain a waiver from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in order to proceed with the mandate.

The EPA on Wednesday announced that it would be approving two waivers, under the Clean Air Act, that grants California permission to phase out gas cars in the state — one of President Biden’s final acts pushing the auto industry into the green energy sector.

One waiver grants California’s near future request to mandate that 35% of new cars and light-duty trucks sales be zero emissions by 2026 and achieve 90% below current emissions by 2027.

California Democrats are waging a war on people who drive gas-powered vehicles.

Earlier this year the Democrats who control California imposed a secret, 50 cent per gallon gas tax.

An emissions reduction program by an environmental regulator will lead to a 50-cent per gallon of gasoline increase, according to a report by a state environment regulator.

Last year the California Air Resources Board (CARB) said gas prices would increase by 50 cents next year and every year after in order to reduce emissions.

This is in addition to California’s existing gas tax!

“The middle class, the low income, they can’t afford gas to go to school, work or grocery or the doctor’s office,” Janet Nguyen told Fox Business. “No one knows about this. I think people just think it’s a tax, so they don’t know the difference between the carbon tax versus the state tax. It’s almost like a tax on the tax.”
