LUCKY ESCAPE: Terrifying Footage Shows Man at Diner Hit by Flying Debris from Philadelphia Plane Crash (VIDEO)

This man is one of the luckiest people alive.

Less than 24 hours after America reeled from the tragic air disaster at Ronald Reagan International Airport, another plane crashed in Philadelphia.

As well as killing all the passengers on board, the crash led to explosions and flying debris and injuries to those close to the impact site.

Among those who made a lucky escape was this man sitting at a nearby restaurant.

Shocking footage circulating on social media shows the man ducking a piece of flying debris by mere centimetres, knocking his cap off in the process.

The medical transport Learjet 55 aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, resulting in seven fatalities and 19 injuries.

The flight, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was en route to Tijuana, Mexico, with a planned stop in Springfield, Missouri.

Onboard were six Mexican citizens: two pilots, a paramedic, a neonatologist, a young patient who had received treatment at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, and her mother.

The plane crash landed near Roosevelt Mall at approximately 6:10 p.m., creating a massive explosion that ignited nearby vehicles and structures.

One motorist was among the deceased, and several homes and businesses suffered significant damage.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has said he will more information on the incident “in the coming days.”

“Up in Philadelphia, we've sent a team of Federal Aviation Administration investigators in conjunction with the National Transportation Safety Board,” he said yesterday.

“We're not going to have answers right away,” he added. “It's going to take time, but as I get those answers, I'm going to share that with all of you.
