Tom Homan Confirms ICE Operation Leak Points to the FBI — Criminal Investigation Underway: “Not Only Will This Person Lose Their Job and Lose Their Pension, They’re Going to Go to Jail”

Tom Homan confirmed that a series of leaks related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations may have originated within the FBI.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a massive Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation set to take place in Los Angeles, targeting thousands of illegal immigrants with criminal records, was leaked to the far-left press.

According to the leaked documents, the raid—dubbed Operation Compliance—was designed to be one of the largest immigration enforcement efforts in recent years, targeting primarily individuals with outstanding deportation orders, criminal convictions, and known gang affiliations.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem openly criticized the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and appeared to accuse the agency of leaking sensitive information concerning impending “large-scale” immigration raids.

The Gateway Pundit also reported that Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan revealed someone leaked to Tren de Aragua gang members that ICE was raiding Colorado apartments. When ICE agents showed up, the apartments were empty.

During an appearance on Fox News with host Sean Hannity on Monday, Homan expressed alarm over the potential implications of these leaks.

Homan detailed that the Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into the leaks, with initial inquiries pointing toward FBI employees.

The former ICE director emphasized that those responsible for the leaks will face severe consequences, including the loss of employment, benefits, and potential jail time.

Hannity:
Looks like every time ICE is preparing to launch a large-scale enforcement operation in a liberal city, information about that raid is leaked. And now the administration is taking major steps to make sure that stops happening.

Attorney General Pam Bondi warned yesterday right here on Fox News, “If you leaked it, we will find out who you are. We will come after you.”

This, after Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem said that she thought that FBI employees were the ones responsible for these leaks… Tom, where are these leaks coming from?

Homan:
We think it’s coming from inside. We know the first leak of Aurora is under current investigation. We think we have identified that person under investigation right now.

The California leak, Secretary Noem, she’s correct. Some of the information we’re receiving tends to lead toward the FBI.

But I talked to Deputy Attorney General all this weekend. They’ve opened up a criminal investigation, and they have promised that not only will this person lose their job and lose their pension, they’re going to go to jail.

They’re going to be criminally prosecuted. We’re all over it. We got the DHS-OIG investigating the first one. I have a pretty good idea what happened.

I can’t share a lot because it’s under investigation, but the Iges opened up a criminal investigation on the second. We’re sending a strong message. It’s just not giving the bad guys a heads-up so they can escape apprehension.

We’re arresting, giving the Venezuela gang a heads up so we can’t arrest them. You’re putting officers’ lives at risk. It’s only a matter of time. If we walk into a place where there’s going to be a bad guy, he doesn’t care. He’s going to be sitting and waiting for the officer to show up and ambush them.

This is not a game. DHS and DOJ are connected at the hip to hold these people responsible in a criminal fashion.

Hannity:
Early indications are this is coming from our own FBI. How certain are you of that?

Homan:
Information leading to that, again, I’ll let the Department of Justice do their own investigation. But again, I talked to the Deputy Attorney General this week, and they’ve opened up a criminal investigation. He thinks the information is coming from there also, so we’ll let that investigation play out. But some of the leads point that way.
