U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents apprehended a 30-year-old Turkish national and Tufts University doctoral student, Rumeysa Ozturk, outside her Massachusetts residence.

The arrest, captured by a nearby security camera, has ignited the predictable outcry from the left—but for law-abiding Americans, it’s a sign that national security is finally being taken seriously again.

Masked ICE officers swiftly moved in on Ozturk, a terrorist sympathizer, confiscating her belongings and placing her in handcuffs after a months-long DHS investigation revealed that she had “engaged in activities in support of Hamas,” a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization responsible for murdering innocent civilians, including Americans.

“Rumeysa Ozturk is a Turkish national and Tufts University graduate student, granted the privilege to be in this country on a visa. DHS and ICE investigations found Ozturk engaged in activities in support of Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization that relishes the killing of Americans,” a DHS spokesperson told ABC News.

“A visa is a privilege not a right. Glorifying and supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds for visa issuance to be terminated. This is commonsense security.”

The footage is chilling but satisfying for those who’ve had enough of foreign nationals exploiting our generosity. Ozturk’s screams pierced the air as ICE did their job, prompting some nosy bystander to yell, “Is this a kidnapping?” The agents shot back, “We’re the police,” according to The Guardian.

Specific details regarding the alleged support have not been fully disclosed by DHS. However, it has been noted that Ozturk co-authored an op-ed in the Tufts Daily student newspaper, urging the university to acknowledge the situation in Palestine and reconsider its affiliations with entities linked to Israel, WCVB reported.

Though a judge had ordered ICE to give 48 hours’ notice before moving her out of Massachusetts, officials clarified that Ozturk was already en route to a secure detention facility in Louisiana before the court’s order was issued.

According to The Guardian, “At court hearing in Boston on Thursday morning, the district judge Indira Talwani initially issued an order giving the government until Friday to answer why Rumeysa Ozturk was being detained. Talwani also ordered that Ozturk not be moved outside the district of Massachusetts without 48 hours advance notice.”

The news outlet added, “However, US Immigration and Custom Enforcement (Ice), which is part of DHS, said on Thursday that Ozturk was being held at a detention center in Basile, Louisiana, and had spoken to her lawyer. A senior DHS spokesperson also confirmed Ozturk’s detention and the termination of her student visa.”
