The leader of one of the world’s poorest countries proved this week that he has more common sense than most Democrats or corporate media journalists in America when it comes to USAID.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, USAID has been in the crosshairs for the past week, given the billions of dollars of waste exposed by DOGE. Some of the examples exposed have been absolutely stunning.

In one instance, the agency funneled $5 billion in 2014 to ignite riots in Ukraine, according to RFK Jr.

Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame sat down with CNN international correspondent Larry Madowo for an interview to discuss various topics affecting the African country. This included President Trump’s efforts to eliminate the corrupt USAID money pit.

Despite the fact that eliminating USAID would mean less money for Rwanda, Kagame surprisingly praised Trump and noted that they had common ground on several issues.

“President Trump has unconventional ways of doing things… I completely agree with him on many things,” Kagame explained.

The CNN reporter did not expect this response and tried to ‘educate’ him on Rwanda’s dependence on America.

“Even though it will hurt you, as Rwanda depends on some U.S. aid to fund your healthcare and development?” a stunned Madowo replied.

“I think from being hurt, we might learn some lessons,” Kagame replied.

Kagame rightly believes his nation will be better off if it exhibits self-reliance rather than bending to the whims of woke, globalist Western bureaucrats.

How refreshing.
