A new video has surfaced that is leaving vegans disgusted and horrified. The video, which was filmed at a Tofurky processing plant, shows how the popular meat alternative is made. The footage is disgusting, and it has many vegans questioning whether or not they will ever be able to eat Tofurky again.
Tofurky is a brand name and a portmanteau of the words “tofu” and “turkey”. It’s often served as a vegan main course at Thanksgiving.
It is a plant-based meat substitute that is made from a blend of wheat gluten and tofu. It is a popular choice for vegetarians and vegans who are looking for a meatless option for their meals. Tofurky is typically sold in the form of a roast, but it is also available in other forms, such as sausages, deli slices, and burgers.
The Washington Post, in collaboration with Oregon’s local outlet Here is Oregon, has ruffled some feathers with its latest behind-the-scenes exposé. The news outlets have taken an in-depth look into the making of Tofurky.
Tofurky, produced by Turtle Island Foods in the scenic Columbia River region of Oregon, has been providing vegetarians with a faux-turkey product for years.

The meat-free meal begins in a giant mixer, where the contents also initially resembles something like cement, before it evolves into a smoother-looking beige batter.
According to The Washington Post, the ‘meat’ part of the Tofurky is made up of 130lbs of wheat gluten, 56lbs of silken tofu puree, 23lbs of canola oil, water and spices.
The ingredients are mixed together and kneaded for 15 minutes until it resembles a dough, with the stuffing being made at the same time and pressed into the center of the meatless dish.
The neat packages of Tofurky are then wrapped up and sealed before being steam-cooked at 300 degrees until they reach a deeper brown color.
After they are frozen, the Tofurkeys are packaged with plant-based gravy to be shipped out to stores, retailing at $13.50 and serving about five people.
The online reaction to The Washington Post’s Instagram video has been a mixed bag of nuts. While some followers are avid enthusiasts of Tofurky’s meatless mission, others appear to be less convinced.
Commenters didn’t hold back, with one disillusioned viewer writing, “That doesn’t look fit for human consumption.” Another commenter dismissed the footage by comparing the process to breadmaking, lacking the context of the meticulous ingredient selection.
The sentiment ranged from despair, with a user stating, “That is the saddest and most depressing thing I’ve seen in a while,” to nostalgia, with an ardent buyer claiming, “I’ve bought one every year since 1996!”

In a significant legal development, a vaccine victim who suffered severe nerve damage after receiving a COVID-19 shot, along with four other individuals with confirmed or suspected vaccine injuries, filed a lawsuit against Joe Biden and his administration back in May, Epoch Times reported.
The lawsuit was filed in southern Texas.
Aside from Biden, defendants include his top adviser Rob Flaherty, White House communications secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the Department of Homeland Security, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, and others.
The plaintiffs alleged that the Biden regime violated their rights to free speech and peaceful assembly by pressuring big tech to crack down on individuals sharing their adverse reactions following COVID-19 vaccinations.
They plaintiffs claimed that the defendants have resorted to threats, pressure, inducement, and coercion to suppress their voices.
In August last year, The Gateway Pundit

According to documents we have seen, PGP works closely with social media platforms, government agencies and news websites to confront the “root cause of vaccine hesitancy” by rapidly identifying and “shutting down misinformation”. A network of 45,000 healthcare professionals are given talking points “and advice on how to respond when vaccine misinformation goes mainstream”, according to an email from Moderna.
Moderna’s disinformation arm is perpetuating the public discourse wars that have been raging since early in the pandemic, aimed at shutting down anything that might undermine Covid-19-related policies, including lockdowns and efforts to encourage mass vaccinations. These documents provide a new window into the process that has roiled speech debates over the last three years.
With PGP, Moderna is monitoring a huge range of mainstream outlets, as well as unconventional ones, such as the Steam online gaming community and Medium. Meanwhile, Moderna also retains Talkwalker which uses its “Blue Silk” artificial intelligence to monitor vaccine-related conversations across 150 million websites in nearly 200 countries. Discussions around “competitor” issues, including discussions of Pfizer are flagged as well as vaccine hesitancy.
Their monitoring team includes Moderna’s global intelligence division, which is run by Nikki Rutman, who spent nearly 20 years as an analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Rutman was working from the FBI’s Boston office during the COVID-19 effort known as “Operation Warp Speed”, which involved the FBI conducting weekly cybersecurity meetings with the Boston headquartered Moderna. She is among many former law enforcement agents now with the vaccine maker. The involvement of former law enforcement reflects a wider trend in the misinformation-space, as the Department of Homeland Security and FBI have increasingly leaned on social media platforms to shape content decisions as a national security issue.

On Wednesday, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency after a freight train derailed in Rockcastle County.
At least 15 train cars were involved in the accident, including two sulfur dioxide cars, leading to the spillage of their contents.
According to WKYT, the towns of Livingston and Piney Branch have been evacuated and an emergency Red Cross shelter has been established at an area middle school.
The train is on a CSX line. CSX told us the derailment happened shortly before 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, and at least 15 cars were involved, including two sulfur cars that had been breached and lost some of their contents.
One member of the two-person crew was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Kentucky emergency management officials say no one was hospitalized as a result of the derailment.
As of 8 a.m. Thursday, emergency officials said a fire was still burning at the site of the derailment. However, they say firefighting efforts have been successful in eliminating much of the sulfur dioxide that was released into the air as a result of the derailment and subsequent fire.
“By issuing a state of emergency, we are ensuring that every state resource is available to help keep our families safe,” Gov. Beshear said. “Please stay clear of this area as state, local and CSX officials respond.”
According to the statement, the state’s Emergency Operations Center has also been activated to Level 4, and the State’s Energy and Environment Cabinet Emergency Response Team is on the scene.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that two key pieces of the Warren Commission report on John F. Kennedy’s assassination were blown up by highly respected authorities. These were the single bullet theory and the idea that alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
Now, another credible authority figure on JFK has come forward with shocking information that will raise even more eyebrows.
Stephen F. Knott, author of the book “Coming to Terms with John F. Kennedy, has revealed to FOX News what the network describes as an eerie incident that occurred one year before JFK’s assassination. Knott discovered this new evidence in the archives of the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston where he once worked.
Knott told Fox News he found out that on October 19, 1962, an eagle-eyed witness saw a rifle pointed at JFK from a second story downtown building during an open-vehicle presidential motorcade in Springfield, Illinois. This was at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Here is how Knott described the shocking news to the network:
The only thing new that I learned was that there had been a previous near miss, let’s say, almost a year earlier at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which would have been a disaster. President Kennedy visited Springfield, Ill., to lay a wreath at the tomb of Abraham Lincoln and then to deliver a political speech.
And while he was parading in an open car through downtown Springfield, a police officer spotted a rifle with a scope on it, emerged from a nearby building under which Kennedy’s limousine was going to pass.

Knott then shared more disturbing information: JFK was supposed to take the exact same route on his return. But a vigilant Illinois police officer intervened.
What made it even more frightening was Kennedy was scheduled to return on the exact same route and thankfully, this Illinois police officer spotted it.
Fox News notes that police arrested a 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy after the officer saw them pointing a .22-caliber rifle. The cops confiscated the firearm along with a box of ammunition but the pair were never charged with a crime.
The pair at the time claimed they just wanted to get a better look at the president but Knott found this strange.
The Secret Service held these two individuals for a time. They insisted that all they wanted to do was to get a better look at the president. And it seems to me kind of odd that you use a rifle scope to do that.
Knott called what happened in Springfield a “missed opportunity” to boost presidential protection practices. But no changes were made seemingly because JFK hated the idea of not being close to his fans.
But no changes were made. And, you know, this is October of 1962. He’s going to be killed in November of 1963. And it’s really, I think, perhaps a missed opportunity where Kennedy’s security could have been enhanced.
Now, having said that, it’s also true that President Kennedy never liked the idea of being cut off from the people. Always rejected the idea of putting some sort of bubble top on his limousine. So that’s the only new revelation.
It’s certainly possible better security could have prevented one of the most horrifying incidents in American history. Unless there was a greater conspiracy at work.
