In an unprecedented sight, the streets of San Francisco – or at least a few blocks of it – were cleared of the homeless, trash, open-air drug use, and crime to welcome Chinese communist dictator Xi Jinping in his first visit to the city since 1985.

As Bill Maher put it on his show in highlighting the absurdity, it’s as if our leaders thought to themselves “God forbid the man who supplies us fentanyl see our citizens on fentanyl!” It was just the latest example of the U.S. government putting the interests of the CCP before its own people. What better insult could the U.S. government send us than signaling they could end social disarray whenever they see fit and simply choose not to – unless to appease a foreign adversary?

Xi attracted his share of supposed supporters to San Francisco – but it was all fake, and it was quickly revealed they were paid hundreds each by the communist regime to show up. Xi’s fake support was drowned out by legitimate counter protesters, of which the largest group present was the NFSC, which was founded by anti-CCP dissidents who fled communist persecution. At least 400 NFSC members flew in from all around the world, including chapters in Canada, Japan, and throughout Europe.

Ahead of APEC, CCP officials were sent to influence American mainstream media outlets’ coverage of the event, and instructed them to not report on the NFSC, some of which complied.

The NFSC was founded by Miles Guo (also known as Guo Wengui), a vocal critic of the CCP, with the objective of promoting democracy, human rights, and the rule of law in China – and most importantly, taking down the CCP. Guo fled communist persecution in China, and has become a symbol of resistance against the oppressive regime.

At the protest, NFSC members railed against the CCP.

NSFC member Ava Chen said during a speech “We are here to send a message to Xi this is not a place for him to be. He is a dictator. He is a totalitarian dictatorship, and democracy and freedom don’t have any room for him. We are here to send him a message that we absolutely want to take him down.”

David Xia, Secretary General of the Himalaya Global Alliance of the New Federal State of China, told the crowd “the last thing we want to tell the whole world is that the NFSC will never miss any opportunity to take down the CCP. Our protests will go beyond the borders in the future. We will show up in other countries too even though the activities we have organized in such a hasty time today there are also nearly 400 fellow fighters from all over the world that have joined us for the protest. We want to tell the whole world that the people of the NFSC will always be there. Finally, I want to say in this difficult time, especially when evil is in power, when many of these evil countries formed an evil alliance. The evil will not retreat, so we must stand up, including the people of the NFSC. It also includes other people who oppose the dictatorship, evil organizations, and countries. If we don’t stand up, we will never earn freedom, and the power of evil will not be defeated.”

The NFSC has since started referring to the Chinese Communist Party as the “XiCP” instead of the “CCP” in recognition of the fact that even top CCP officials are succumbing to Xi’s dictatorship – such as the regime’s mysteriously “disappearing” ministers, such as Qin Gang, one of China’s most powerful diplomats – or the questionable death of Li Keqiang, formally the second-ranked member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CCP.

The protests organized by the NFSC during President Xi Jinping’s visit to San Francisco for the APEC Summit serve as a powerful statement against the XiCP’s authoritarian rule. With supporters from around the world united in their goal to challenge the Chinese government, the NFSC continues to draw attention to the need for democratic reforms and human rights in China. The global community’s response to these protests may play a crucial role in shaping the future trajectory of China and its relationship with the rest of the world.

DOJ Brings Criminal Charges Against Biggest Crypto Exchange Binance and Its CEO – Changpeng Zhao Will Resign as Part of a 4.3 Billion Settlement

DOJ Brings Criminal Charges Against Biggest Crypto Exchange Binance and Its CEO – Changpeng Zhao Will Resign as Part of a 4.3 Billion Settlement

Binance and its CEO Zhao add to the (apparently) never-ending crypto woes.

After the trial and conviction of FTX’s Sam Bankman-fried, crypto enthusiasts thought that all was going to be well with the industry from now on, right? Wrong.

In the latest (and gravest) blow to the embattled crypto industry, the U.S. Department of Justice has brought criminal charges against Binance and its billionaire founder and CEO, Changpeng Zhao.

Zhao pleaded guilty to violating and causing a financial institution to violate the Bank Secrecy Act.

The U.S. DOJ charges Binance of, among other things, of ‘knowingly and willfully’ caused the supply of services to Iran, in breach of U.S. sanctions.

CNBC reported:

“Binance chief Changpeng Zhao will plead guilty to criminal charges and step down as the company’s CEO as part of a $4.3 billion settlement with the Department of Justice, according to court documents. The plea arrangement with the government resolves a multi-year investigation into the world’s largest crypto exchange.

Zhao and others are charged with violating the Bank Secrecy Act by failing to implement an effective anti-money laundering program and for willfully violating U.S. economic sanctions ‘in a deliberate and calculated effort to profit from the U.S. market without implementing controls required by U.S. law’, according to the Justice Department.”

Zhao and SBF: the list grown longer.

Binance and its founder were targets of a joint effort by the Department of Justice, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Treasury Department.

“Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said in a release Tuesday the exchange allowed illicit actors to make more than 100,000 transactions that supported activities like terrorism and illegal narcotics. And it allowed more than 1.5 million virtual currency trades that violated U.S. sanctions.

It also allowed transactions associated with terrorist groups like Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Al Qaeda and ISIS, Yellen said in the release, noting Binance ‘never filed a single suspicious activity report’.”

Binance faces three criminal charges, including ‘conducting an unlicensed money-transmitting business’, ‘violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act’, and a conspiracy charge.

It has agreed to forfeit $2.5 billion to the government, as well as to pay a fine of $1.8 billion.

“Binance has been the center of intense regulatory scrutiny over how it operates, with officials in multiple jurisdictions flagging concerns with the company’s gung-ho attitude to launching in certain markets even when it lacks the authority to do so, and allegations of involvement in illicit dealings such as money laundering and securities fraud.”

Fortune reported:

“The 32-page complaint includes three counts related to money laundering, conducting an unlicensed money-transmitting business, and sanctions violations. It includes wide-ranging allegations of Binance pursuing U.S. customers at the direction of Zhao while not complying with U.S. anti-money laundering and know-your-customer laws, as well as servicing customers in countries with sanctions restrictions, including Iran.”

A software developer for Bloomberg, Zhao went out to take his Binance to heights becoming the world’s largest crypto exchange.

“While Binance has made a public push to come into compliance in recent years, including hiring former Drug Enforcement Agency and Gemini veteran Noah Perlman as chief compliance officer, the exchange has not been able to shed its reputation for skirting the rules.

The Justice Department charges represent a culmination of the company’s failure to change minds in the U.S., and a possible end of its operations in a country increasingly hostile toward crypto.”

Former global head of regional markets, Richard Teng, will take over Binance as CEO, Zhao announced in a tweet on Tuesday.

Missouri Judge to Decide if Voters Can Be Required to Show Voter ID to Vote in 2024

Missouri Judge to Decide if Voters Can Be Required to Show Voter ID to Vote in 2024

Following the highly contentious 2020 election Rasmussen polling found that:
** 90% of American voters are concerned with election cheating.
** 74% of voters support Voter ID.
** 69% of blacks support voter ID laws.

Voter ID laws are a given in most countries around the world.
Presenting an ID is expected when you vote.

Because without voter ID people cheat.

At one time voter ID was just common sense. But today Democrats continue to work to remove this democratic requirement.

Missouri has strict voter ID laws. Voters must show a valid government-issued ID to vote. But Democrats are working to make this rule unconstitutional. It’s much harder to cheat in a state with strict voter ID laws.

Now a Missouri Judge is going to decide if voters should be require to present a valid ID to vote.

KMOV reported:

The Missouri Supreme Court has turned away an appeal about how to word a ballot question on access to abortion in the state.

Missouri lawmakers have already banned abortion except in cases of medical emergency, but proponents of broader access to the procedure are seeking to put a question about it directly before voters next year. In all seven states where abortion has been on the ballot since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade last year, voters have either supported protecting abortion rights or rejected attempts to erode them.

In Missouri, officials and advocates on both sides are grappling with how to word the question that could go on the ballot. Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft has proposed asking voters whether they are in favor of allowing “dangerous and unregulated abortions until live birth.”

A state appeals court in October said the wording was politically partisan. Ashcroft appealed the decision, but on Monday the Missouri Supreme Court declined to hear his argument.

Summaries are used on Missouri ballots to help voters understand sometimes lengthy and complex constitutional amendments and other ballot proposals. Ashcroft, who is running for governor in 2024, said his wording “fairly and accurately reflects the scope and magnitude” of each of the six proposed abortion rights ballot measures.

WATCH: Air Marshals National Council Director STUNS Fox News Host When She Reveals Marshalls Are Quietly Following Every Person Who Flew to DC Around January 6, 2021

Sonya Labosco, Director of the Air Marshals National Council said Air Marshalls are quietly following Americans who flew into the DC area around January 6, 2021.

Labosco said Air Marshals are no longer going after terrorists or the bad guys because they are now stalking and following every single person who flew into the DC area around January 2021 even if they did not go to the US Capitol.

“We’re not flying right now. The only missions that we are doing are ‘Quiet Skies’ missions and those are missions that are following the January 2021 people,” Labosco said. “So we’re either on the border for illegal immigrants or we’re following folks from January 2021. We’re not doing our regular missions where we’re out there looking for the bad guys so for now most flights you’re not gonna have Air Marshalls.”

The Fox News host was stunned: “What do you mean that you’re following January 2021 people? What does that mean?

Labosco said their primary mission is to stalk every single person who flew into the DC area even if they never went to the Capitol and were never charged with any crimes.

“That means our primary mission is a little group called ‘quiet skies’ – it’s a mission called quiet skies that we’re following people that flew into the national capital region in January 2021 and they did not have to go to the Capitol or the rally and you’ve been put on a specific list that TSA has now assigned Air Marshals to follow these people who have not had any type of criminal investigation – they haven’t committed a crime, but yet three years later we are following the same individuals day in and day out,” Labosco said.

The Fox News host asked Labosco, “So you’re saying the [Air Marshals] aren’t…tracking terrorists at all?”

“Well, they didn’t even have to be at the Capitol…they could have just flown into the capital region so anyone who was there for a job interview or to visit family. We even have a gentleman who was there for a funeral. They’ve been put on this domestic terrorist list just because of their geographic location to Washington DC,” Labosco said.

The Fox News host was in shock as Labosco said Air Marshals have been following the same innocent people for three years even though they have never committed a crime.

‘Hemisphere’: Secret White House Surveillance Program Allows Cops To Spy On Trillions Of US Phone Records Without Warrants

‘Hemisphere’: Secret White House Surveillance Program Allows Cops To Spy On Trillions Of US Phone Records Without Warrants

Even Democrats are pushing back against Biden’s police state.

US Senator Ron Wyden, D-Ore.,  is blowing the whistle on a secretive surveillance program that permits federal, state, local and Tribal law enforcement agencies to surveil over a trillion domestic phone records annually.

On Sunday, Sen. Wyden sent a letter to the Department of Justice warning the Data Analytical Services, formerly known as Hemisphere Project, illegally authorizes government agencies to track, monitor Americans’ calls and analyze the phone records of everyday people who are not suspected of committing any crime, including victims of crimes.

The Democrat lawmaker called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to publicly disclose all documents related to the Hemisphere phone surveillance program. While the documents are not classified, the Justice Department has categorized them as “Law Enforcement Sensitive” to prevent them from being publicly released.

Hemisphere relies on chain analysis, a technique that facilitates government agencies to spy on the targeted individuals as well as anyone who has been in contact with the targeted individual without warrants.

“I have serious concerns about the legality of this surveillance program, and the materials provided by the DOJ contain troubling information that would justifiably outrage many Americans and other members of Congress,” Wyden wrote in a letter to Garland. “While I have long defended the government’s need to protect classified sources and methods, this surveillance program is not classified and its existence has already been acknowledged by the DOJ in federal court.

Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore.

“The public interest in an informed debate about government surveillance outweighs the need to keep this information secret.”

Hemisphere is run in coordination with the telecom giant AT&T. AT&T captures and conducts analysis of US call records for law enforcement agencies, from local police and sheriff’s departments to US customs offices and postal inspectors across the country.

In 2009, The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy began paying AT&T to allow all law enforcement agencies to probe AT&T customers’ phone records as far back as 1987.

All calls that use AT&T’s infrastructure, a matrix of routers and switches across the United States, are subject to targeting by the DAS program. Information collected includes caller and recipient names, phone numbers, and dates and times of calls.

ONDCP has provided more than $6 million to the program to date.

In 2013, the White House funding for Hemisphere was suspended after it was exposed by the New York Times, but that same year, federal funding for the program continued under “a new generic sounding name, ‘Data Analytical Services,’” Wyden notes, in his letter to the DOJ. “ONDCP funding for this surveillance program was quietly resumed by the Trump Administration in 2017, paused again in 2021, the first year of the Biden Administration, and then quietly restarted again in 2022.
Law enforcement agencies abusing its AT&T partnership with government agencies to circumvent laws, Wyden explained.
“One law enforcement official described the Hemisphere Project as ‘AT&T’s Super Search Engine’ and … ‘Google on Steroids,’ according to emails released by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) under the Freedom of Information Act,” he wrote. Although the Hemisphere Project is paid for with federal funds, they are delivered to AT&T through an obscure grant program, enabling the program to skip an otherwise mandatory federal privacy review.
“If the funds came directly from a federal agency, such as the DEA, Hemisphere would have been subjected to a mandatory Privacy Impact Assessment conducted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties, the findings of which would be made public. Instead, ONDCP provides funding for the program through the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), one of 33 regional funding organizations as a part of a grant program created by Congress and administered by ONDCP. The HIDTAs distribute federal anti-drug law enforcement grants to state and local agencies, and are governed by a board made up entirely of federal, state, and local law enforcement officials.”

Wyden, a lead sponsor of the Government Surveillance Reform Act is demanding swift congressional action on the federally funded government surveillance program.

Wyden along with Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Reps. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, and Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif introduced the Government Surveillance Reform Act earlier this month to crackdown on the federal government’s “disturbing” misuse of surveillance authorities.

“Americans know that it is possible to confront our country’s adversaries ferociously without throwing our constitutional rights in the trash can. But for too long surveillance laws have not kept up with the changing times,” Wyden said in a statement announcing the bill on Nov. 7. “Our bill continues to give government agencies broad authority to collect information on threats at home and abroad, including the ability to act quickly in emergencies and settle up with the court later,” he added. “But it creates much stronger protections for the privacy of law-abiding Americans, and restores the warrant protections that are at the heart of the Fourth Amendment.”

The proposed measure would also reform Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which allows warrantless surveillance of electronic communications targeting foreigners located outside of the United States. While Section 702 is designed to acquire foreign intelligence information, a massive amount of data from American citizens is frequently collected as the foreign target is surveilled.

Section 702 is set to expire at the end of this year unless reauthorized by federal lawmakers.

In May, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in consultation with the Department of Justice released a redacted Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court opinion confirming the FBI misused the Section 702 database over 278,000 times, including data it collected in its search of information related to people suspected of protesting at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, donors to congressional candidates and protesters arrested after the death of George Floyd.

Also, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) wrote, “I just contacted the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Director in response to disturbing new info related to a mass surveillance program called The Hemisphere Project. These programs are all about CONTROL over Americans.”
