The US Navy has once again lowered its enlistment standards, this time removing the high school diploma or GED requirement.
This is the second time in recent memory that the Navy has lowered requirements as it continues to fail to meet recruitment goals.
Military.com reports:
The decision follows a move in December 2022 to bring in a larger number of recruits who score very low on the Armed Services Qualification Test. Both are fairly rare steps that the other military services largely avoid or limit, even though they are all finding it increasingly difficult to attract the dwindling number of young people who can meet the military’s physical, mental and moral standards.
Under the new plan, Navy recruits without an education credential will be able to join as long as they score 50 or above on the qualification test, which is out of 99. The last time the service took individuals without education credentials was in 2000.
“We get thousands of people into our recruiting stations every year that want to join the Navy but do not have an education credential. And we just turn them away,” Vice Adm. Rick Cheeseman, the Navy’s chief of personnel, told The Associated Press on Friday.
Cheeseman said that over 2,400 interested people were turned away last year for not meeting the education standards.
“I’m hoping all my recruiters have called all 2,442 of them in the last 72 hours, and we’ll see how it goes … We’ll try to get some test takers this weekend,” Cheeseman said.
The Navy, Army and Air Force all failed to reach their recruitment goals in the last fiscal year.
The Military.com report explains, “Last year, the Navy’s enlistment goal was 37,700, but the service brought in just 31,834. This year, Cheeseman said, he set the goal higher — at 40,600. The total size of the Navy for 2024 is set at 337,800.”
“I need these sailors. So it’s a stretch goal. We’re telling our recruiters to go get 40,600 people to join the Navy,” Cheeseman said. “We don’t fully expect to get that many. But we’re going for it.”

Response to VoteVets False Attacks
Having seen reports on a baseless attack ad against President Trump by VoteVets, a shill group funded by liberal elites, I felt compelled to point out this spot is as vile as it is absurd.
First and foremost, it cites a refuted claim debunked by senior officials who were in the room years ago. Recycling this fake news is made worse by exploiting the pain of family members of fallen soldiers.
Biden and globalists of both parties recklessly drag America’s sons and daughters into endless wars, then leave them vulnerable to attacks abroad and terrible treatment here at home. Biden’s failed retreat from Afghanistan led to chaos and a disastrous outcome for our troops, and his weakness among world leaders today makes us more vulnerable than at any time in our nation’s history.
As President, Donald Trump passed the largest reform of the Department of Veterans Affairs in a generation, including VA Accountability and VA Choice, and he fired 11,500 federal workers who failed to give our wounded warriors the quality and timely care they deserve.
President Trump secured record funding for mental health services, and he expanded access to tele-health and suicide prevention resources. During his first term, President Trump decreased veteran homelessness, increased educational benefits, and achieved record-low veteran unemployment.
As a veteran, a Member of Congress, and as the Chairman of Veterans for Trump Coalition, I know that with Donald Trump back in the White House our troops will be safer, our vets will be respected, and our world will be safer.
The Hill reported on the VoteVets ad buy (excerpt):
The six-figure ad buy will run in the Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Harrisburg markets.
In 2020, Biden won Pennsylvania, flipping the battleground state blue with about a 1.2 percent margin.
This is the first VoteVets ad buy in this election cycle. The group was one of the biggest spenders in the 2022 cycle, dropping $24,473,501 on independent expenditures, according to money-in-politics watchdog OpenSecrets.
Politico reported in 2019 that VoteVets is funded by the George Soros Open Society Foundation: “Soros’ foundation finances VoteVets, a left-leaning veterans group…” Breitbart also reported, in 2020, that Soros funds VoteVets.

Black voters in South Carolina are turning on Joe Biden ahead of the Democrat primaries set for February 3.
“Biden just wants to cause more bills for everybody, and he’s got a lot of homeless people out here,” one black South Carolina voter told the media of Joe Biden losing support among blacks.
“It ain’t the Black community — it’s everybody’s community,” he said.
As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, a poll released last month by Morning Consult shows Joe Biden losing support among black voters while President Trump is gaining support. Over the past year, Biden is down nine points, from 70 to 61 percent while Trump is up seven points, 15 to 22 percent

For some strange reason – this news DID NOT make any headlines in the mainstream Trump-hating media.
E. Jean Carroll accused several men of sexual assault including a babysitter’s boyfriend. a dentist, a camp counselor, a college day, a boss, and Les Moonves from CBS – and, of course, Donald Trump.
We forgive you if you’ve never heard this before.

Carroll has claimed to have been assaulted by numerous men other than Donald Trump, including a babysitter’s boyfriend, a dentist, a camp counselor, an unnamed college date, an unnamed boss, and CBS chief executive Les Moonves. Her lawsuit against Trump was funded by Democrat billionaire Reid Hoffman.
We are trying to confirm all of the reported accusations. We know for certain that she accused former CBS CEO Les Moonves of sexual assault.
Moonves “emphatically denies” Carroll’s account.
Here’s what you need to know about E. Jean Carroll, that was previously reported here on The Gateway Pundit. Most of these information were deemed “inadmissible” by the judge per John LeFevre:
She couldn’t recall the date, month, season, or year the incident happened
She never told anyone about it, despite being publicly obsessed with her own sexuality
The dress she claims to have been wearing didn’t exist at the time
Her description of the dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman was inaccurate, making her sequence of events impossible
Her lawsuit was bankrolled by Jeffrey Epstein pal and Democrat (and Nikki Haley) mega-donor Reid Hoffman
Democrats created a law (The Adult Survivors Act in 2022) to enable her lawsuit to proceed
Her accusation is the exact plotline of an episode of Law & Order (one of her “favorite shows”)
Trump’s Apprentice was also one of her favorite shows
She has a history of falsely accusing men of rape, including Les Moonves
She told Anderson Cooper, “most people think of rape as being sexy. Think of the fantasies.”
She made a career promoting promiscuity, even writing glowingly of sexual assault and naming her cat Vagina
Carroll’s interviews on TV, social media posts, and inconsistent information concerning her allegations should have been enough to throw out any case, but not with Judge Kaplan.
There is no way that this case should have been brought to court. Trump was not even told what month or year the ridiculous story actually took place.
