Trump Waves Off RNC Proposal to Declare Him the Presumptive Nominee

Former President Donald Trump wants to win at everything he does, and when it comes to the Republican presidential nomination, he plans to win it.

For those reasons, Trump on Thursday called a halt to efforts to have the Republican National Committee declare him the party’s presumptive nominee.

“While I greatly appreciate the Republican National Committee (RNC) wanting to make me their PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE, and while they have far more votes than necessary to do it, I feel, for the sake of PARTY UNITY, that they should NOT go forward with this plan, but that I should do it the ‘Old Fashioned’ way, and finish the process off AT THE BALLOT BOX,” he posted on Truth Social.

“Thank you to the RNC for the Respect and Devotion you have shown me! TRUMP2024,” the former president added.

Trump has dominated the two GOP primary contests to date, winning both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary with more than 50 percent of the vote.

All other contenders for the Republican nomination have dropped out except for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who trails Trump in the polls.

While Trump has lashed out at Haley and threatened her donors, many Republicans have urged her to drop out of the race.

Trump ally David Bossie shared the idea of declaring the contest over in a resolution that could have been discussed at the RNC winter meeting in Las Vegas next week, according to Reuters.

When the former president shot down the plan Thursday, however, Bossie withdrew it.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel had said after Trump’s New Hampshire win on Tuesday that the GOP needs unity to win, according to NBC News.

“I’m looking at the map and the path going forward, and I don’t see it for Nikki Haley,” McDaniel said.

“I do think there’s a message that’s coming out from the voters, which is very clear: We need to unite around our eventual nominee, which is going to be Donald Trump,” she said.

Word of the resolution irked some RNC members.

Oscar Brock, a committee member from Tennessee, said the resolution “certainly violates the intent” of RNC rules for the primaries.

“The rules specifically say you’re not the guy until you’ve gotten 50 percent plus one of the delegates required for the convention,” he said, according to NBC News.

“I would think that we would be more open to letting more people have a say in this process before declaring it over,” Brock said.

Haley responded sharply to the news that the resolution had been proposed.

“Who cares what the RNC says? We’ll let millions of Republican voters across the country decide who should be our party’s nominee, not a bunch of Washington insiders,” her campaign said in a statement.

Trump and Haley meet again in the Feb. 24 South Carolina primary. After that comes Super Tuesday on March 5, when Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and American Samoa vote, according to U.S. News and World Report.

DOJ Says Andrew Cuomo Sexually Harassed at Least 13 Female State Employees

The Justice Department found that former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo at least 13 state employees.

Recall that in August 2021, Cuomo, a Democrat, was found to have sexually harassed multiple women, AG Letitia James announced after a 4-month investigation into the accusations.

According to NY AG Letitia James, Cuomo violated state and federal law.

James said Cuomo harassed current and former state employees and created a hostile work environment.

The 165-page report said Cuomo created a toxic work environment ‘rife with fear and intimidation, and helped enable harassment to occur and created a hostile work environment.’

Cuomo was forced out in 2021 after Letitia James released her report.

The Justice Department on Friday concluded that Cuomo sexually harassed at least 13 women.

ABC News reported:

The U.S. Justice Department concluded former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed more than a dozen state employees, according to a settlement announced Friday that confirmed allegations from the damaging misconduct probe that led to the Democrat’s resignation.

The settlement between New York and the Justice Department resolves the federal agency’s sexual harassment investigation of Cuomo and outlines additional steps the state will take to change how it handles misconduct complaints.

Cuomo, once a rising star in the Democratic party, left office in 2021 after a report by Attorney General Letitia James concluded he sexually harassed at least 11 women. He has denied wrongdoing and argued James’ report was driven by politics, intended to force him from office so she could run for governor.

The Justice Department investigation found a similar pattern of sexual misconduct by Cuomo and said he subjected at least 13 state employees to a sexually hostile work environment. It said Cuomo’s staffers failed to adequately report allegations and retaliated against four women who raised complaints. The agency did not release a full report detailing its investigation but instead published a list of its findings.

Fani Willis Defends Illicit Affair with Top Trump Prosecutor, Refuses to Give Records on Trump RICO Case

Fani Willis with paramour Nathan Wade

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Friday defended her illicit affair with the top Trump prosecutor in her office and refused to give congressional investigators records related to Trump’s RICO case.

As previously reported, Fani Willis had an ‘improper’ romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, a top Trump prosecutor in her office.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Fani Willis “financially benefited” from a romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, a top prosecutor she hired to go after President Trump.

The motion was filed in the Superior Court of Fulton County on behalf of defendant Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official who was hit with counts 1, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 in Fani Willis’ RICO case.

The motion seeks to have the charges against Michael Roman dismissed and for Fani Willis, Nathan Wade and everyone in the DA’s office to be disqualified from the RICO case against Trump.

The filing claims Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor hired to go after Trump, paid for luxury vacations he took with Fani Willis to Napa Valley and a cruise in the Caribbean – and used money from Fulton County to pay for their out-of-town escapades.

Fani Willis defended her relationship with Nathan Wade and told House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan that she will not be giving his committee any records related to Trump’s RICO case.

“County records show that Wade, who has played a prominent role in the election interference case, has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. The DA authorizes his compensation.” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

“Your letter requested records of the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, so Mr. Wade forwarded your letter to me as District Attorney for response,” Fani Willis wrote.

“Your letter is simply a restatement of demands that you have made in past correspondence for access to evidence in a pending Georgia criminal prosecution,” she said.

“As I said previously, your requests implicate significant, well-recognized confidentiality interests related to an ongoing criminal matter. Your requests violate principles of separation of powers and federalism, as well as respect for the legal protections provided to attorney work product in ongoing litigation. I refer you to my previous responses to your inquiry for more detailed analysis.”

Excerpt from New York Post:

The Georgia district attorney accused of having an affair with an attorney she hired to prosecute former President Donald Trump responded to Congress on behalf of her alleged lover Friday — saying “confidentiality interests” mean she can’t hand over any documents related to the case.

Fulton County DA Fani Willis, who is facing calls even from allies to step off the Trump case due to the allegations of improper self-dealing, fired off the defiant response after House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) reached out to her alleged paramour, Nathan Wade.

Jordan wrote to Wade just days after Trump co-defendant Michael Roman alleged in court papers filed Jan. 8 that Willis had a glaring conflict of interest in the case, in which the 77-year-old ex-president and 14 allies face charges of unlawfully attempting to change the 2020 election results in the Peach State.

A couple weeks ago it was reported Fani Willis had been subpoenaed to testify in the divorce proceedings of Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor she appointed to go after former President Donald Trump and his associates.

According to a court filing obtained by The Wall Street Journal, Willis was served a subpoena at her Atlanta office for her testimony in the divorce case of Nathan Wade and his wife, Joycelyn Wade.

An attorney for Fani Willis immediately filed a motion to quash the subpoena and accused Jocelyn Wade of “interfering” with her RICO case against Trump.

Last Friday, Jocelyn Wade’s legal counsel filed a response to Fani Willis’ request for a protective order – and Jocelyn Wade produced the receipts!

Jocelyn Wade unleashed on Fani Willis.

“The arguments asserted by Ms. Wills are disingenuous, specious, and her claimed basis for same fails as a matter of law. Upon information and belief, Ms. Wills has information and knowledge directly relevant to alleged conduct of the Plaintiff that would be considered by the Court asto equitable division of the marital estate, dissipation of marital assets, and spousal support.” Jocelyn Wade’s attorneys stated in a court filing reviewed by this reporter.

“Furthermore, Ms. Wilis’s implied threat to pursue charges against Defendant and her counsel, based on inconvenient facts from her personal life that are directly relevant to the ongoing divorce proceedings in the above-styled action, is an affront to the integrity of her office,” Jocelyn Wade’s attorneys wrote.

“If non-party, Ms. Willis, seeks protection, it appears that the one she needs protection from is herself,” the filing read.

Nathan Wade’s Capital One credit card statements provided by Jocelyn Wade were documented in the court filing reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

Nathan Wade spent money on Fani Willis by buying her flowers, and paying for hotels, air travel, a cruise, and Ubers.

The bank statements prove Nathan Wade bought Fani Willis flights to Miami and San Francisco.

There will be a hearing as early as February to look into Fani Willis’ relationship with Nathan Wade.

Video: Residents Stunned as Illegal Immigrants Make Landfall on US Shore and Scatter Into Community

A cellphone video shared on social media Thursday purported to show a boatload of illegal immigrants arriving in the country in La Jolla, California.

The video was shared on X by Jorge Ventura, a former Daily Caller reporter who has been with NewsNation for about a year. Ventura said he received the video from “a follower.”

“NEW: A follower just sent me this video from earlier today of a group of migrants on a boat reaching the shores of a beach in La Jolla, CA,” Ventura said in the post.

“Once the migrants reached the shore they immediately start running into the neighborhood,” he added. “Unclear at this time if this group of migrants have been apprehended.”

The video appears to show a group of roughly two dozen men and women, and at least one young child getting off of the boat after it ran ashore and disappearing into the local neighborhood.

The Western Journal has been so far unable to verify the date or location of the video independently.

At one point, the man taking the video expressed surprise and dismay at the fact that the group of what he called “illegal aliens” included children.

“Dude, they got kids with ’em, too,” he said.

“Oh my god,” a nearby woman confirmed. “There’s a child.”

An emergency vehicle of some sort approached the scene with siren blazing, but it was unclear from the video whether the first responders took any action or if, in fact, they even got out of their car.

One woman in the group appeared to be having trouble walking, but it was difficult to tell from the video exactly what happened or what the problem might have been.

“Holy s***,” the man taking the video said, “a lady just collapsed.” She appeared to be able to continue moving away from the boat and down the street with assistance.

As the group dispersed, the cameraman moved to get a shot of the boat in which they had traveled.

“They abandoned the boat,” a woman said.

“Yeah, that’s what they do all the time,” the cameraman replied. “I’ve seen the boats here like five times, but I’ve never actually seen them do it.”

La Jolla is in Southern California near San Diego, roughly 25 miles from the U.S. border with Mexico.

Judge Kaplan warned the court: No outbursts, maintain decorum.

Judge Kaplan: I’m advised the jury has reached a verdict. We will have no outbursts in these proceedings, we will maintain decorum. Bring in the jury.

On Friday afternoon the 9-person jury began deliberations in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case where she sought $10 million in damages based on Trump’s 2019 statements about her while he was president.

Below is the jury verdict sheet courtesy of Inner City Press reporter Matthew Russell.

President Trump on Thursday testified in the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial in a Manhattan court.

Trump took the witness stand on Thursday for about three minutes. The defense rested after Trump’s testimony.

Jurors returned Friday morning to hear closing arguments.

In 2019, E. Jean Carroll alleged Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s.

Trump has denied the allegations and called E. Jean Carroll a “whack job” who’s “not my type.”

The jury last year awarded E. Jean Carroll $5 million in damages.

The jury decided that E. Jean Carroll did not prove Trump raped her.

However, the jury said E. Jean Carroll proved Trump sexually abused her when he ‘inserted fingers into her vagina.’

E. Jean Carroll sought $10 million in damages in a separate defamation trial based on Trump’s statements while he was president in 2019.

Trump’s efforts to assert immunity over his 2019 statements about E. Jean Carroll were rejected.
