Texas Governor Greg Abbott is steadfast in asserting the state’s right to defend its borders against invasion.
This stance has led to a growing dispute with the Biden regime and prompted some Democrats to call for Joe Biden to federalize Texas National Guard as the debate over border security intensifies.
On Wednesday, Abbott released a comprehensive declaration condemning the Biden administration for neglecting federal immigration laws and compromising the contractual agreement between the federal government and individual states.
“President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense,” said Abbott.
“For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary,” he added.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) has called the Biden regime to take control of the state’s National Guard.

Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX) has sharply criticized Abbott’s approach, likening it to strategies used by President Donald Trump.
Casar accused Abbott of using “political stunts and inflammatory language” to advance his agenda, endangering both U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants.
The far-left congressman wrote on X:
“Greg Abbott has continued to use political stunts and inflammatory language to advance his own agenda, violating the Constitution and endangering both U.S. citizens and asylum seekers.
Abbott is following the Donald Trump playbook: make immigration harder and more dangerous, so asylum seekers are pushed into the hands of cartels and the system remains broken.
I agree with Joaquin Castro: if Abbott is defying yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, POTUS needs to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard.
We can create an immigration system that is safe, orderly, & humane. It’s Democrats’ job to push back on razor wire, inhumane cages, & broken policies of the past.

Former Texas Representative Beto O’Rourke, currently running for governor, also weighed in, comparing Abbott’s use of the Texas Guard to Governor Orval Eugene Faubus’s defiance of federal authority in 1957.
“Abbott is using the Texas Guard to defy a Supreme Court ruling. When Gov. Faubus did this in 1957, Eisenhower federalized the Arkansas Guard to ensure compliance with the law. Biden must follow this example of bold, decisive leadership to end this crisis before it gets worse.”

Crooked Hillary Clinton decided to emerge from hiding Wednesday to weigh on the controversy surrounding the woke Barbie movie and got roasted into oblivion.
Lead actress Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig joined forces to turn Barbie into the ultimate feminist, male-bashing film. Moreover, the movie includes anti-mother and trans propaganda aimed at little girls.
While Barbie was nominated for numerous awards, the film’s fans were enraged after Robbie and Gerwig were not recognized. The fans were especially furious after Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Ken.
Hillary responded by posting an incredibly cringeworthy message saying Robbie and Gerwig are “so much more than “Kenough” despite not taking “home the gold.” She closed by including the hashtag #HillaryBarbie.

The ratings-challenged ‘Daily Show’ is bringing back Jon Stewart to host the show for one night a week during the 2024 election.
This is such an obvious move and it serves two purposes. First, leftists might start watching the Daily Show again. Second, Stewart will be used to bash Trump, Republicans, FOX News, and all things conservative. Just like he did for years as the host of the show.
It’ll be the same old, tired jokes that Colbert and Kimmel have been telling for years now.

Jon Stewart returns to ‘The Daily Show’
Longtime viewers of “The Daily Show” will soon see a familiar face back in the hosting chair. Jon Stewart, who hosted the show from 1996 to 2015, will return to the program, NBC News has confirmed.
The news comes after more than a year of uncertainty in the search to replace Trevor Noah, who just took home an Emmy for best variety talk series. The comedian exited in 2022 after hosting for seven years. He had taken over from Stewart.
Stewart will host Monday nights through the 2024 election and then will continue as executive producer for every episode until the end of this year and the next, according to a news release from Comedy Central. On days Stewart is not hosting, “The Daily Show” will continue to rely on a team of rotating correspondents.
John Nolte of Breitbart News makes some great points about this:
FACT: The Daily Show was never popular. Jon Stewart has never been popular. Stewart’s ratings were a joke, even at the height of his popularity. But because Jon Stewart says what he’s told to say and pretends to be a truth teller as he pimps out his integrity to protect the fascist establishment, the establishment rewarded him by creating an artificial environment that presented Stewart as a national phenomenon — even though less than one percent of the population watched his Daily Show.
Without that affirmative action, Stewart cannot survive, which is why he flamed out at Apple TV+ and HBO. Stewart is nothing close to popular and has nothing close to a following. The only time most of us saw Stewart was when the fake news media ran his clips over and over and over again as propaganda.
This is why Stewart is being brought back. The left sees him as a political weapon and that’s how he will be used.

Barack Obama is reportedly terrified that Biden is going to lose in November and is urging Joe Biden to exit the race.
Obama has never been crazy about Biden and wasn’t even happy about Joe’s decision to run for president in 2020. Now he is looking at the momentum Trump is already building, compared to Joe Biden’s weak campaign.
The problem Democrats have here is Joe Biden’s ego. He thinks he is doing a great job. He wants to run.

“Insiders snitched that tensions between the two presidents recently exploded after irate Obama rushed to a secret meeting and confronted Biden about his fading chances to fend off surging Republican candidate Donald Trump in the upcoming November election,” explains the report.
Incredibly, Joe seems almost oblivious to the lack of excitement about his campaign and cratering approval ratings. Recent polls show a scant 38 percent of American’s approve of his performance with a whopping 58 percent holding a negative opinion of his work…
In desperation, sources said Obama bellowed at bumbling Biden to go on the attack — and make sure trusted aides are constantly by his side on the campaign trail to keep them from committing the disastrous gaffes that have defined his presidency.
There are also reports that Obama is quietly making decisions about who controls Biden’s campaign.

Joe Biden was campaigning in Virginia this week, where he took a swing at popular Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin, saying that he wasn’t the ‘real’ governor. His team later tried to claim he was just joking.
There is more to this story, however.
Biden is in trouble in Virginia. Voters there are not happy with him or the direction the country is headed in.
The Washington Examiner reports:

A day after President Joe Biden went 35 miles into Virginia for a reelection campaign event where he took a verbal shot at popular Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA), a new survey found voters ready to throw it back in his face.
Virginians, who like their governor and direction of the commonwealth, said in the latest poll from the Wason Center for Civic Leadership at Christopher Newport University that they don’t like Biden or where the country is heading.
The survey of 1,000 Virginia voters said they disapprove of Biden, 59%, to 36% who approve. That is a 2-point drop in the president’s approval rating since a year ago.
And, said research director Rebecca Bromley-Trujillo, only 20% said the country is heading in the right direction, while 71% see it heading in the wrong direction.
By comparison, Virginians continue to approve of Youngkin 50%-39% for a second year, and 43% like where the commonwealth is heading versus 37% who don’t.
Biden has good reason to be concerned about Virginia. He is underwater there.
