Barstool’s Dave Portnoy Says Dems Planned Debate Fail to Install Newsom: ‘Sent Biden out For Slaughter’

Barstool’s Dave Portnoy believes that Democrats planned Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance so they could get rid of him and install California Governor Gavin Newsom instead.

Biden’s performance was so abysmal that even his strongest allies have conceded that he may need to step down.

“The Democrats had to know that,” Portnoy said in a video discussing the debate.

Portnoy continued, “Why would you agree to a debate with Biden at this stage — the earliest debate of all time — when you know he’s gone, when you know he can’t speak, when you know he’s a vegetable? Because they wanna whack him… They know he is not going to be the nominee.

“I said this 10 months ago, 11 months ago, when Gavin Newsom — and go look who’s trending: Gavin Newsom. When Gavin Newsom was in China being an idiot, playing basketball against these little kids, he steamrolls one of them, then like molests him after. I’m like, ‘This guy’s gonna run for president.’ It’s so obvious. Why is a governor taking a tour of the world? For what purpose? Because he knew and the Democrats have known Joe Biden is gone.”

Biden has remained adamant that he will still be doing the second debate in September and has no intention of stepping aside.

CNN’s White House correspondent Kayla Tausche posted on X on Friday, “Not only does @POTUS not plan to drop out, Biden remains committed to a second debate in September, an adviser tells me.”

Former President Donald Trump has also said that he does not believe Biden will be replaced.

Massive U.S. Pharmacy Chain to Close ‘Significant Share’ of Stores as Locations Struggle

Massive U.S. Pharmacy Chain to Close ‘Significant Share’ of Stores as Locations Struggle

Walgreens will be closing what The Wall Street Journal reports will be a “significant share” of its approximately 8,600 U.S. stores.

The Journal report, from an interview with Walgreens Boots Alliance Chief Executive Officer Tim Wentworth, quoted Wentworth as saying Walgreens would close a “meaningful percent” of underperforming stores over the next several years.

Wentworth indicated Walgreens will also be reducing its investment in Village MD, a primary care provider.

“We recognize where we are is a turnaround,” Wentworth said. “We recognize that we need to be focused on what are the parts of the business that we believe are contributing and have a future, and some of those need to change.”

The CEO of the 123-year-old chain, who began his role with Walgreens in October, said “retail pharmacy is central to our future and to our overall customer and patient experience. It enables many other things, but it has to change.”

Stores that are close to one another will be at the top of the list for closing, Wentworth indicated.

Theft also remains an issue, he indicated.

Walgreens will seek partnerships with cities to save stores through “investing in public safety so that our customers and employees feel safe,” Wentworth added.

Wentworth said staff will be reassigned where possible.

“We don’t see this as an employee reduction, we see this as a footprint reduction,” he explained.

On Thursday, Walgreens revealed that sales at stores open for at least one year fell 2.3 percent from last year’s level.  Profits took a hit from promotions to attract customers and from theft, according to Fox Business.

“We continue to face a difficult operating environment, including persistent pressures on the U.S. consumer and the impact of recent marketplace dynamics which have eroded pharmacy margins,” Wentworth said.

Walgreens now projects that its fiscal 2024 full-year adjusted earnings will be in the range of $2.80 to $2.95 per share, which is lower than its former estimate of $3.20 to $3.35 a share.

As a result, Walgreens share prices dropped more than 20 percent, according to CNBC.

“Seventy-five percent of our stores drive 100% of our profitability today,” Wentworth said. “What that means is the others we take a hard look at, we are going to finalize a number that we will close.”

“We assumed … in the second half that the consumer would get somewhat stronger” but “that is not the case,” Wentworth said.

“The consumer is absolutely stunned by the absolute prices of things, and the fact that some of them may not be inflating doesn’t actually change their resistance to the current pricing. So we’ve had to get really keen, particularly in discretionary things,” he said.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has announced he’s open to the idea of replacing Biden on the Democratic presidential ticket.

In an interview with News Nation, host Chris Cuomo said the Biden campaign is in “free fall” and that placing Kennedy as the Democratic nominee could really solve the party’s problems.

Cuomo asked Kennedy, “Would you be open to talking to them if they reached out to you?”

Kennedy responded, “Of course I would talk to them. It would put me on the ballot with nobody trying to get me off.”

On Thursday night, Kennedy hosted his own debate because he was not invited to CNN’s debate because he did not meet the network’s electorate threshold.

Kennedy, who previously challenged Biden in the Democratic primary before changing his party affiliation to independent, was pressed by NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo about whether he would be open to replacing Biden as the nominee.

Cuomo said Biden is “in freefall,” and that Kennedy being the Democratic nominee could “really solve their problems and yours at the same time.”

He asked: “Would you be open to talking to them if they reached out to you?”

BANANA REPUBLIC.

The US Supreme Court on Friday released a statement denying Steve Bannon’s application to Chief Justice Robert’s for release pending appeal.

The Supremes knocked it down.

Next to Donald Trump, Steve Bannon is the leading voice in the MAGA movement.

Now that FOX News has become a shadow of itself, The War Room is the most important conservative and Pro-Trump news program in the country today.

Everyone knows this.

Last week Steve Bannon lost his appeal to delay the July 1 start of his criminal contempt-of-Congress prison sentence starting in July.

The far left US DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Bannon. Bannon, the former Chief Strategist to former President Donald Trump, then sought the intervention of the US Supreme Court.

Democrats want to ensure that Steve Bannon is jailed for the four months prior to the US 2024 presidential election – the most important election in the last 150 years!

They fear his voice.

We can’t let this happen! Next to Donald Trump, Steve Bannon is the leading voice in the MAGA movement.

Pray for Steve Bannon. Pray for your country.

June 28, 2024

The hosts on The View were divided on whether Joe Biden should be replaced as the Democrat nominee, leading to a fiery segment on the roundtable show.

On Friday’s episode, cohost Sara Haines said the debate was “really hard to watch.”

“It pains me to say this today, but I think President Biden needs to step down and be replaced,” Haines said.

Haines said she would still vote for Biden over former President Donald Trump, but does not believe the Democrats will win without a new nominee.

Former Trump White House official Alyssa Farah Griffin, who has since turned liberal, agreed with Haines.

Griffin said Biden’s performance was “stunningly worse than what I expected.” She added, “He needs to put country before his own ambition and he needs to step aside and pass the baton.”

She also said she felt “duped” by reports that Biden had spent the week preparing for the debate.

“I feel duped! I feel like I’ve been told this guy’s doing gymnastics at night!” Griffin said.

Sunny Hostin agreed that Biden lost, but was less convinced that he needs to step down.

“Maybe he needs to go, maybe he needs to be honest with himself and the American people. He can bow out at this time with grace and dignity,” Hostin said, expressing anger that Republicans are not considering replacing Trump after his conviction in New York.

“Why are we as Democrats — those of us who are Democrats — calling for our nominee to change?” Hostin asked.

“Because he’s losing!” Griffin said.

Ana Navarro still supports Biden.

“Until Joe Biden tells me he’s giving up, I’m not giving up on Joe Biden,” Navarro said. “To me, the binary choice remains the same.”

“[Biden] is a man who speaks with a weak voice, but who tells me the truth in a weak elderly voice,” Navarro said.

“Joe Biden could not get through that debate and could not convey what either of you just did,” Griffin replied. “I was dying for Biden to do better. He could not articulate a vision, the threat of Trump, get through a policy statement. The stakes are too high in this election. They’re foundationally too high to run this man.”
