Kristi Noem talks with Shannon Bream of “Fox News Sunday” 7/13/25

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss topics including the government’s response to the Texas flood and ICE operations in California.

“There has been a lot of back and forth about what the Federal response was or wasn’t, so I want to just come to you. Let’s separate a little fact from fiction,” Bream said of the response to the Texas floods.

“As soon as this flooding started early in the morning, I was on the phone with the Lieutenant Governor, with the Governor, with the emergency responders that were there on the ground and said what do you need and then got on a plane and headed there as soon as I possibly could,” Noem said.

“The Coast Guard had been immediately deployed as soon as we finished our phone calls. We also deployed our border protection, our CBP and our patrol folks,” Noem continued.

“This memo and this criticism I think is all politics because I was there. I was there, and every time somebody asked for something we said absolutely it will be here as soon as possible,” Noem explained.

Bream also asked Secretary Noem about ICE operations in California. A Biden-appointed federal judge put a temporary restraining order which interfered with ICE in California.

“A Federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against a lot of the ICE operations that have been carried out in southern California,” Bream said.

“What do you do with this ruling? Does it go to the 9th Circuit? Do you do an emergency appeal to SCOTUS?” Bream asked.

“This Federal judge’s ruling is ridiculous. We never ran our operations that way. We always built our operations, our investigations on case work, on knowing individuals that we needed to target because they were criminals,” Noem explained.

“It’s been done exactly how law enforcement has operated for many years in this country and ICE is out there making sure we get the worst of the worst off of the streets,” Noem said.

Secretary Noem also explained that a number of Federal judges in the US are using the bench to make decisions that are politically motivated rather than applying the law objectively.

“We’ve seen this across the country over and over and over again where judges are getting political. It’s not their job. I hope they can bring some dignity back to the bench because we certainly are lacking it now from many of these Federal judges,” Noem continued.

Germany’s Authoritarian Drift: Anti-Democratic Globalist Lawfare Against the AfD Escalates—Members Banned from Civil Service
July 13, 2025

Frauke Brosius Gersdorf via Potsdam University

In yet another brazen assault on political freedom by Germany’s left-wing globalist establishment, the regional government of Germany’s sixth post populous state, Rhineland-Palatinate, has imposed a sweeping ban on members of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) from holding public-sector positions.

This move, spearheaded by Social Democratic Party (SPD) Interior Minister Michael Ebling, echoes the kind of authoritarian tactics conservatives have long warned against from the globalist progressive ‘elite’.

Announced Thursday in Mainz, the new rules require applicants for government roles, including civil servants, police officers, and teachers, to submit a written declaration affirming their loyalty to the constitution and certifying they have not been affiliated with any extremist organization in the past five years.

Since the AfD has been classified as an ‘extremist’ group by Rhineland-Palatinate’s own Office for the Protection of the Constitution, its members are effectively blacklisted from these jobs. Even stricter rules apply to police hires, where any hint of disloyalty could lead to immediate disqualification.

The purge also extends to current employees. The state’s interior ministry has made clear that ongoing membership in an “extremist” group like the AfD could now constitute a disciplinary offense, potentially resulting in removal from service.

Ebling pompously declared, “Loyalty to the constitution is not a wish or a recommendation… it is the immovable duty of every civil servant in our country. Anyone who puts himself at the service of this state must be loyal to the constitution at all times, without ifs and buts.”

He further justified the crackdown by claiming the AfD has “radicalized” and lacks a moderate wing, insisting there must be “no doubt” that public workers stand firmly for the constitution.

AfD co-leader Alice Weidel didn’t mince words in her response to the German newsletter Bild, blasting the policy as “appalling discrimination against political opinion” that tramples “basic democratic principles.”

Fellow AfD parliamentarian and deputy state chairman Sebastian Münzenmaier went further, slamming Ebling’s decree as a “declaration of political bankruptcy,” highlighting how the left resorts to silencing dissent when they can’t win arguments at the ballot box.

The backdrop to this regional power grab is the ongoing federal drama surrounding the AfD’s classification. In May, Germany’s domestic intelligence agency (BfV) labeled the party a right-wing extremist group nationally, citing its “ethnicity- and ancestry-based understanding of the people” as incompatible with the “free democratic order.”

The AfD swiftly challenged this in court, forcing the BfV to pause the designation and downgrade it to a “suspected case.” Undeterred, Rhineland-Palatinate has taken matters into its own hands, imposing its own extremist label to justify the ban.

This comes amid growing chatter about outright banning the AfD nationwide, despite its strong second-place finish in this year’s federal elections, a clear mandate from voters fed up with the establishment’s failures.

The AfD vows to fight back in the courts, just as they did federally. Weidel remains defiant, declaring that her voters “will not be intimidated by this.”

This policy isn’t about safeguarding democracy; it’s about entrenching left-liberal globalist hegemony by barring conservatives from the institutions that shape society. If allowed to stand, it sets a dangerous precedent for purging any group that doesn’t toe the progressive line.

REENCARNATION OR STATE-APPOINTMENT? Dalai Lama Succession Pits Giants China and India Against Each Other

REENCARNATION OR STATE-APPOINTMENT? Dalai Lama Succession Pits Giants China and India Against Each Other

REENCARNATION OR STATE-APPOINTMENT? Dalai Lama Succession Pits Giants China and India Against Each Other
July 13, 2025

The Dalai Lama succession is causing a rift between the BRICS partners: Modi’s India and Xi Jinping’s China.

China and India, the two most populous countries in the world, have a complex geopolitical relationship.

On the one hand, they are partners in the BRICS group, united to try to usher in the multi-polar world.

But at the same time, they live at each other’s throats, with problems with trade imbalances and economic competition, disputes in the fields of Cybersecurity and technology, water resource disputes, infrastructure development competition, and a bloody border dispute that dates back to 1962.

Putin, Modi and Xi: BRICS union on the line.

Now, the succession of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has become yet another major irritant in China-India relations.

The Chinese embassy in New Delhi alerted to this fact today (13), even as the Indian foreign minister S. Jaishankar prepares to visit Beijing for the first time since the deadly border clashes of 2020.

Reuters reported:

“Ahead of celebrations this month for his 90th birthday that were attended by senior Indian ministers, the head of Tibetan Buddhists riled China again by saying it had no role in his succession. Tibetans believe the soul of any senior Buddhist monk is reincarnated after his death, but China says the Dalai Lama’s succession will also have to be approved by its leaders.

The Dalai Lama has been living in exile in India since 1959 following a failed uprising against Chinese rule in Tibet, and Indian foreign relations experts say his presence gives New Delhi leverage against China. India is also home to about 70,000 Tibetans and a Tibetan government-in-exile.”

China complains that ‘people in strategic and academic communities in India had made improper remarks’ on the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama.

“India’s foreign ministry said on July 4, two days before the Dalai Lama’s birthday, that New Delhi does not take any position or speak on matters concerning beliefs and practices of faith and religion.”

But Minister Kiren Rijiju sat next to the Dalai Lama during the his birthday festivities last week, and said that he believes ‘only the spiritual guru and his office have the authority to decide on his reincarnation’.

Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) condemns ICE agents after participating in violent riot and doxxing agent

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has revealed that Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) was “part of a violent mob of protestors attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility” and that he doxxed an ICE agent by handing the individual’s business card to members of the violent group.

According to ICE, the doxxed agent was also “left bloody” after the mob hurled rocks at agents who were doing their job.

The officers were conducting criminal warrant operations at marijuana farms operated by the Glass House Brands Inc. in Carpinteria and Camarillo when the chaos unfolded.

Carbajal claimed in an X post that ICE agents were “using unnecessarily aggressive and militarized tactics against local farm workers and peaceful protesters.”

Following the operation in Carpinteria, Carbajal posted a video on X, where he goes on a dishonest rant about ICE, calling their job “deplorable.”

He further claimed that he was there to fulfil his “congressional oversight responsibilities,” despite participating in the violent riots.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, “more than 500 rioters attempted to disrupt operations,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a press release.

“Four U.S. citizens are being criminally processed for assaulting or resisting officers. The rioters damaged vehicles and one violent agitator fired a gun at law enforcement officers.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the shooter.

Additionally, as revealed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), at least one of the arrestees at the farm was a convicted child predator in addition to being in this country illegally. These are not just “local farm workers.”

ICE further revealed on X,

Rep. Salud Carbajal was part of a violent mob of protestors attempting to obstruct federal law enforcement as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility. He cites “peaceful” protestors, when in fact these rioters were launching rocks at officers, injuring at least one ICE employee who was left bloody.

According to agents on the ground, the congressman doxed that same ICE employee by sharing his business card with members of the violent mob.

THIS is precisely the rhetoric that has led to orchestrated attempts to murder officers and a 700% increase in officer assaults.

May the congressman’s constituency always remember he chooses violence over the rule of law.

Carbajal should be arrested.

This is a developing story.

Senator Tom Cotton talks with Shannon Bream of “Fox News Sunday” 7/13/25

Senator Tom Cotton was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss tariffs. Cotton also weighed in on the one-year anniversary of the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, PA.

“They knew of this threat days in advance, but didn’t share with state and local. The drone wasn’t working for the Secret Service, although apparently the shooter had a drone that had been working in that area. There were so many things. There were requests for enhanced security that were denied,” Bream said.

“What do you make of these reports a year later, and has there been any real accountability?” Bream asked.

“I think President Trump is right as well that mistakes were made that day. The report from the GAO as well as the Senate reports indicate that there were serious failures in communications and allocation of resources. Under the Biden administration, the Secret Service simply was not responsive to the requests of not only the Trump campaign, but the head of his security detail Sean Curran, who is now the head of the Secret Service as well,” Cotton said.

“I do believe, as President Trump said, the Secret Service is working to redress those problems and make sure they don’t happen again,” Cotton said.

“Tariffs are now playing out, and we understand that on August 1st, there are some new ones that will kick in. Based on these letters the President and the White House has sent out, unless there are deals done in advance of that,” Bream said.

“Is there a role for the Senate?” Bream asked regarding the Senate’s role in tariffs.

“Well, Congress over the years, and this goes back a century, has given the President broad discretion to negotiate tariffs,” Cotton said.

“I think it’s important to see these tariffs as an extension of our broader foreign policy, trying to achieve critical national objectives,” Cotton continued.

Senator Cotton cited an example of a tariff Japan has on the US regarding rice.

“Japan puts a tariff on American rice of 700 percent. Arkansas rice farmers would love to sell our rice in Japan, but at 700 percent tariff, it’s a bit hard. So, President Trump is using these tariffs or the threat of tariffs in part to get better deals and open more markets up,” Cotton said.

“A second important context is national security. The President has announced new tariffs on copper. Those are akin to earlier tariffs on steel and aluminum. These are critical inputs for our national security that we really have to be able to produce domestically,” Cotton explained.
