House Judiciary Committee Deletes Prank ‘Rick-Roll’ X Post About Epstein Files After Severe Backlash
February 28, 2025
The House GOP Judiciary Committee X account has deleted a prank “Rick-Roll” post about the Epstein files after severe backlash from across the political spectrum.
The post came as conservative influencers were given heavily redacted copies of the files as “Phase 1” of the release.
“#BREAKING: EPSTEIN FILES RELEASED,” the now-deleted post read, with a link to Rick Astley’s music video for “Never Gonna Give You Up” on YouTube.
The post received a Community Note warning readers that the post was a prank and led to the music video.
Both Democrats and Republicans slammed the post for making light of a sex trafficking case involving minors.
Rickrolling on a post related to a child sex trafficking ring?
Conservative activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck wrote, “This has to be one of the dumbest mistakes by our side in recent memory. Sex trafficking is not an opportunity to rick roll someone with a music video. I have friends in Congress who are pissed this was sent out. I’m glad they deleted it but this can never happen again.”

The “Epstein Files” binder handed out to influencers was a heavily redacted release of information that had primarily already been publicly available online.
President Trump’s first Cabinet Meeting: Like a Grand Painting of Leaders of the Second American Revolution
February 28, 2025
President Trump’s first Cabinet Meeting on February 26, 2025, was like a grand painting of the leaders of the Second American Revolution. Every American Citizen who knew that November 2024 was the last chance to save America, felt a sense of pride and participation, everyone could claim they helped make this assemblage of superheroes at #47s first Cabinet meeting possible. There has been a dramatic change in the direction of American Government with the inauguration of the Trump Administration, this normally only happens through bloody civil war or revolution. Yet here we are, despite the best efforts of the Deep State Censorship Cartel, despite USAID, and despite 40% of the FBI working on J6 investigations.
President Trump and his team have been a blur of energy, unleashing executive order after executive order. Never has a Conservative/Populist movement overwhelmed the entrenched media and beltway culture. The Trump Team has been decisive about disassembling the legacy media control over the way things were. Karoline Leavitt gave a ferocious reverse round kick to the face by ejecting the self-appointed media gatekeepers of truth, the Associated Press, Reuters, and the Huffington Post, from the first Cabinet Meeting. The AP (author of the AP Style Guide, the former holy book of Newspeak) wanted to lock horns with President Trump over the Gulf of America. They got run over. USAID recipient Politico was shocked that Trump had seized “control of the press pool”.
President Trump’s first meeting was about Action, Action, Action to destroy the Deep State
The meeting began with a prayer. Live on national broadcasts, President Trump called for Secretary Scott Turner to say an invocation, “This is a gentleman who’s going places — the head of HUD. And he’s going to say — you all know him. And you’re going to say grace” to which Secretary Turner said “Yes, Sir.” And then Secretary Turner gave a stirring prayer and closed with, “…Father, the Bible says the blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. But, Father, we today honor you. And in your rightful place, Father, thank you for giving us this opportunity to restore faith in this country and be a blessing to the people of America. And, Lord God, today in our meeting, we pray that you will be glorified in our conversation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” And then the meeting shifted into high gear with a litany of action, action, action.
President Trump said, “Letters were sent out to people just to find out, if the people exist, do they work? Who do they work for? Where are they? You know, where have they been working? Have they been working for other companies or other entities at all and being paid by the government, so they have two jobs, but they’re supposed to have one?”
President Trump went on, “And in many cases, we haven’t gotten responses. Usually that means that maybe that person doesn’t exist or that person doesn’t want to say they’re working for another company while being paid by the United States government.” The meeting was filled with accounts of the actions to strike at the Deep State. Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, had laid down a ferocious barrage the night before, exposing and firing the perverted Intelligence Community officials involved in sex chats on National Security Agency Classified networks. Tulsi said, the behavior was “an egregious violation of trust” that went against “basic rules and standards around professionalism…I put out a directive today that they will all be terminated and their security clearances will be revoked.” Very likely, every one of these deviants had successfully passed their Full Scope Polygraphs, belying the fraud of the IC. For those waiting for confirmation, such as Navy Secretary nominee John Phelan, he revealed the late night messages he was receiving from President Trump about the pervasive rust on Navy ships and Phelan’s action plan to address the shabby condition of the U.S. Navy.
Biden’s first Cabinet meeting was about expanding the Deep State
In contrast, President Biden’s first Cabinet Meeting on April 1, 2021 was about spending existing money at a faster rate, seeking trillions more in funding, and moving the Major League Baseball All Star game out of Atlanta because Georgia had dared to pass election integrity laws. The contrast could not be clearer between the two Administrations. President Trump’s relentless daily Thunder Runs starting at 12:00 noon on January 20, 2025, were about getting the U.S. Government out of the way of the American people. Biden’s pathway from a stolen election to inauguration to first cabinet meeting was about growing Government, expanding the money laundering operation, and advancing the idol of DEI.
President Trump needed no script to run his meeting and confidently conducted dialogue with media. President Biden was face down in a notebook, robotically reading a script. The Biden Cabinet Members were socially distanced and masked up. The Trump Team was smiling, enthusiastic, and sitting closely together. The Trump meeting emitted energy, positivity, and put the American Citizen at the center of the dialogue; the Biden meeting reeked of plodding, ineffective government that never had enough funding or power to accomplish anything.
The Elites have lost the narrative, their money laundering operation, and most demographics
New meaning to the term “buzzkill” was added by a gathering of Never Trumpers titled, “The Principles First Summit”. Attendees included Adam Kinzinger, villain of January 6, disgraced Capitol Hill Police Officer Michael Fanone, and Rachel Maddow doppelganger, Mark Cuban. This was not a Babylon Bee headline, this confab really happened, with a likely return on investment of no new followers.
Flagship of the TDS movement, MSNBC, is jettisoning personalities like Joy Reid who had the answer of “Racism” teed up, no matter what the question was. It is a new day in America and the difference between the two views of America is clear. One is overflowing with energy, action, and optimism. The other has lost its USAID ATM and is flailing for new pronouns and cash.
All viewpoints are personal and do not reflect the viewpoints of any organization.
Maine Lawmaker Censured for Using Birth Name of Transgender Athlete in Protest of State Allowing Males to Play in Girl’s Sports
February 28, 2025
A Republican state lawmaker in Maine has been censured for using the birth name of a transgender student athlete who won a girls track and field competition after previously competing as a boy.
Republican Rep. Laurel Libby named the student in a Facebook post protesting the state’s refusal to ban male athletes from competing in girls’ sports.
The censure was passed on Tuesday night with a 75-70 vote.
Rep. Libby had prepared a speech defending herself and women’s sports, but her microphone was repeatedly turned off as she attempted to deliver it.
“I was completely unable, from my first sentence, to get a word out, before the other side was shutting me down,” Libby said.
The Maine Democrat Majority has just moved to censure me, for speaking out against their failure to protect Maine girls and keep biological males out of girls’ sports.
Let me be clear: I will not be silenced and I will not allow the voices of Maine girls to be silenced. pic.twitter.com/Zdy2usGuo6
Rep. Libby is now barred from speaking on the House floor until she apologizes — which she refuses to do.
“It’s a remarkable double standard as there are public photos of this individual in many places, on social media and even some posted by his school, and so yes, this post went viral, but this was an individual who participated in a public event, who publicly stood on a podium and accepted a championship medal that rightfully belonged to the girls standing on the second-place spot,” Libby said.
House Majority Leader Matt Moonen condemned Libby’s comments from the floor.
“She has irreparably broken the trust that has been placed in her as an elected official serving in this House of Representatives,” Moonen said. “This institution and all of Maine deserve better.”
Last week, the Department of Education launched an investigation into Maine’s compliance with Title IX laws after Democrat Maine Governor Janet Mills clashed with President Donald Trump at a National Governors Association (NGA) meeting over biological males competing against females.
“Today the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) sent a letter to the Maine Department of Education Commissioner Pender Makin announcing that OCR is initiating a directed investigation of the Maine Department of Education (MDOE) amid allegations that it continues to allow male athletes to compete in girls’ interscholastic athletics and that it has denied female athletes female-only intimate facilities, thereby violating federal antidiscrimination law,” the DOE said in a press release.
“The letter also notifies MDOE that OCR is launching an investigation into Maine School Administrative District #51 (MSAD #51), after it was reported that Greely High School, a school under its jurisdiction, is continuing to allow at least one male student to compete in girls’ categories.”
Acting assistant secretary for civil rights Craig Trainor added:
“Maine would have you believe that it has no choice in how it treats women and girls in athletics – that is, that it must follow its state laws and allow male athletes to compete against women and girls. Let me be clear: If Maine wants to continue to receive federal funds from the Education Department, it has to follow Title IX. If it wants to forgo federal funds and continue to trample the rights of its young female athletes, that, too, is its choice. OCR will do everything in its power to ensure taxpayers are not funding blatant civil rights violators.”
Comey Family Member Was Lead Prosecutor in Epstein Case In SDNY, Where Files Released to DOJ Were Heavily Redacted, Many Are Missing
February 28, 2025
This afternoon, after years of waiting for the hidden FBI files from billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal case to be released, AG Pam Bondi released over 200 heavily redacted pages to the public. Americans were shocked after waiting so long for the documents to be released to discover that any relevant information was missing from the document dump.
After receiving the disappointing “Phase 1” of the Epstein files from the FBI Field office in New York, AG Bondi sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel demanding the full release of all documents related to the Epstein case by 8:00 a.m. on Friday. In her letter, Bondi assured the DOJ that it would protect the identities of the victims. Bondi also demanded a full investigation into why her order to release all documents was ignored.
Dear Director Patel,
Before you came into office, I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein. In response to this request, I received approximately 200 pages of documents, which consisted primarily of flight logs, Epstein’s list of contacts, and a list of victims’ names and phone numbers.
I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents. Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files. When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information.
By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28, the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained. There will be no withholdings or limitations to my or your access. The Department of Justice will ensure that any public disclosure of these files will be done in a manner to protect the privacy of victims and in accordance with law, as I have done my entire career as a prosecutor.
I am also directing you to conduct an immediate investigation into why my order to the FBI was not followed. You will deliver to me a comprehensive report of your findings and proposed personnel action within 14 days. I appreciate your immediate attention to this important matter. I know that we are both committed to transparency for the American people, and I look forward to continuing to work with you to serve our President and our country.
Sincerely,
Pamela Bondi
Attorney General
Popular conservative social media personalities and journalists were outraged over the lack of transparency in “Phase 1” of the document dump.
Independent journalist Todd Starnes called for Pam Bondi’s resignation on X after she promised to release the bombshell documents but fell completely short of expectations. He wrote, “Republican lawmakers are enraged. The Epstein “documents” being released are nothing more than his phonebook. If ALL of the Epstein Files are not released by 5 p.m. Eastern, President Trump should demand Attorney General Pam Bondi’s immediate resignation.”
Bongino Report host Evita Duffy-Alfonso also appeared to blame Bondi for what she suggests was a bait-and-switch of the Epstein documents, writing on X: If the Trump administration has no Epstein information because the New York FBI is refusing to hand over documents, then why did Pam Bondi say the Epstein files were sitting on her desk? Things would have gone a lot smoother if she had just told us the truth.
Liz Wheeler, one of the conservative influencers who received an advance copy of Phase 1 of the Epstein documents, tweeted about how a source notified AG Bondi that the SDNY is hiding more Epstein documents.
“Lots more,” she tweeted, adding, “We’re talking evidentiary lists, names—those files are where the big names are—and recordings. The FBI hid this. Hid it from Bondi. Hid it from Kash Patel. Hid it from you.”
EXCLUSIVE: Late last night, after it was clear Attorney General Pam Bondi would be imminently releasing the Epstein files, a source notified Bondi that the SDNY is hiding more Epstein documents.
Becker suggested to the House Oversight Committee and the Judiciary Committee to subpoena Maureen Comey to compel her to testify in public.
So, who Is Maurene Comey?
According to Newsweek, Ms. Comey’s LinkedIn profile, Assistant U.S. Attorney Comey heads the SDNY’s Violent and Organized Crime Unit and has been with the office since 2015.
Maurene Comey is the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey and Patrice Failor, and is one of six children.
The disgraced, then-FBI Director James Comey’s Trump-hating wife and daughters were seen protesting President Trump in D.C. on the day after he was inaugurated in 2016.
She is married to Lucas Issacharoff, a Harvard Law School graduate and U.S. Assistant Attorney for the SDNY’s Civil Division since September 2019.

Colin Rugg tweeted about AG Bondi launching an investigation into the FBI field office in New York after they allegedly withheld thousands of Epstein documents.
He wrote:
Bondi says a source has come forward claiming the field office has thousands of pages of documents.

President Donald Trump’s FBI Director Kash Patel has publicly responded to a letter from Attorney General Pam Bondi requesting the full documents on Jeffrey Epstein.
Bondi’s letter alleged that a whistleblower informed her that she was not provided with all of the documents from the Epstein case.
“Before you came into office, I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein,” Bondi wrote. “In response to this request, I received approximately 200 pages of documents, which consisted primarily of flight logs, Epstein’s list of contacts, and a list of victims’ names and phone numbers.”

“I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents,” Bondi’s letter continued. “Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files.”
Responding to the letter in a post on X, Patel wrote, “The FBI is entering a new era—one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned — and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be swiftly pursued.”

Patel continued, “If there are gaps, we will find them. If records have been hidden, we will uncover them. And we will bring everything we find to the DOJ to be fully assessed and transparently disseminated to the American people as it should be. The oath we take is to the Constitution, and under my leadership, that promise will be upheld without compromise.”
The U.S. Department of Justice released the first phase of the Epstein Files on Thursday evening, after Bondi gave conservative influencers binders of the documents earlier in the day.
“This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators,” said Bondi. “The first phase of files released today sheds light on Epstein’s extensive network and begins to provide the public with long overdue accountability.”
