Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has a plan to go after Target, alleging its business practices hurt the states’ retirement fund.

Uthmeier posted a video to social media platform X on Thursday explaining why his office decided to take action.

Uthmeier explained his class action lawsuit was “for misleading shareholders and pushing a harmful leftist agenda at the expense of shareholder returners.”

“While Target told their investors, they would keep the company out of controversy to protect the stock price, the retailer engaged in a marketing campaign targeting and sexualizing children,” he said, adding, “You’ll remember Target promoted rainbow sports bras for boys, children’s swimsuits with transgender features, and books for kids that asked them to question their biological reality.”

Uthmeier then explained how this campaign hurt Floridians’ retirements as it caused massive losses for Target.

“This radical campaign predictably caused Target’s stock price to plummet, wiping out ten billion in market value in just ten days. And those losses put the retirement accounts of Florida’s teachers and first responders at unacceptable risk.

“Our public servants should not suffer diminished retirement security because companies focused on leftist virtue signaling rather than shareholder returns.” he stated.

The Orlando Sentinel reported, Florida is the first state to sue Target over its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives that created the “pride” campaign dating to the summer of 2023.

The Palm Beach Post highlighted the following from Florida’s filing:

“Target’s CEO Brian Cornell and its Board of Directors did not oversee or disclose the obvious risks of Target’s 2023 LGBT-Pride Campaign and the ESG/DEI initiatives which it advanced, but they told investors that they did

“In doing so, they deceived Target investors as to the true nature of the risks of their investments and caused them to unknowingly support Target’s board and management in their misuse of investor funds to serve its divisive political and social goals — and ultimately cost investors billions.”

Despite Target backing away from DEI as of last month, along with several other companies, their past is coming back to haunt them.

The New York Post reported at the time of the campaign the exact losses Uthmeier mentioned in his video.

Floridians worked hard to for their pensions and don’t want to see that money sacrificed at the altar of “pride” and DEI.

With the news that Florida is the first state to take action, what sort of precedent does this set for others?

Target is a massive company with plenty of other investors — state pensions or otherwise — that will feel inspired by Uthmeier’s work accompanied by the America First Legal Foundation.

The foundation’s press release can be read here, which includes a link to the lawsuit.

If other states were to take up a similar cause and file suit, Target might be looking at a day of reckoning.

The Justice Department on Friday filed a formal complaint against a federal judge assigned to Trump’s executive order on transgender troops for engaging in “egregious misconduct” toward its counsel.

On Tuesday, Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee, signaled she would side with a group of transgender soldiers who sued to block President Trump’s executive order on transgender troops.

Judge Reyes grilled DOJ lawyers on Tuesday and said that Trump’s executive order asserting there are only two genders is “not biologically correct.”

“With the DOD policy expected to be finalized over the coming week, Reyes said she would hold off on issuing an order but had largely made up her mind about the legality of the order, at one point remarking that “smarter people on the D.C. Circuit would have to tell me I’m wrong” about the policy. She added that the central premise of the executive order — that only two genders exist — is “not biologically correct.”” – ABC News reported.

Last month, President Trump signed the “Restoring America’s Fighting Force” executive order and the “Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness” executive orders, which direct every element of the U.S. military to “operate free from any preference based on race or sex” and root out gender insanity and made up pronoun usage, respectively.

Judge Reyes also grilled lawyers on the use of pronouns and gender ideology.

“If you were in a foxhole, you wouldn’t care about these individuals’ gender ideology, right?” the judge asked DOJ lawyers.

The judge’s misconduct and abuse were much worse than previously known.

The Justice Department detailed Judge Reyes’ shocking statements toward its attorneys in Tuesday’s hearing.

“During these hearings, Judge Reyes engaged in hostile and egregious misconduct that violates Canons 2A and 3A(3) of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges, which requires judges to “act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary” and “be patient, dignified, respectful, and courteous to litigants,” the DOJ wrote in a complaint against Judge Reyes.

The DOJ detailed two incidents of abuse of its attorneys.

The Justice Department said during her lecture on the “30 different intersex examples,” Judge Reyes grilled one of its lawyers about his religious beliefs and then used him unwillingly as a “physical prop in her courtroom theatrics,” the DOJ wrote.

Judge Reyes launched an attack on the attorney’s Christian beliefs and went on psychotic rant about transgender individuals.

“Judge Reyes describes receiving an email suggesting that she develop a relationship with Jesus. She then uses this aside as an excuse to randomly pivot to questioning the DOJ attorney about his religious views: “What do you think Jesus would say to telling a group of people that they that they are so worthless, so worthless that we’re not going to allow them into homeless shelters? Do you think Jesus would be, ‘Sounds right to me’? Or do you think Jesus would say, ‘WTF? Of course, let them in?’”

The DOJ argued that Judge Reyes’ line of questioning had nothing to do with Trump’s executive order and attempted to get the attorney into a trap of answering an absurd hypothetical.

The lawyer did not fall for the trap and simply replied, “The United States is not going to speculate about what Jesus would have to say about anything.”

The Justice Department also admonished the judge for the use of the inappropriate abbreviation “WTF” – “what the f*ck” – during the questioning of a DOJ lawyer on his religious beliefs.

Additionally, the judge, in an attempt to embarrass the DOJ lawyer, physically directed him as “part of a rhetorical exercise” in front of other attorneys.

Judge Reyes instructed the DOJ counsel: “I made a change to my standing order when I was in the back. My new standing order says that no one who has graduated from UVA Law School can appear before me. So, I need you to sit down, please. I need you to sit down.”

The judge continued to trash UVA Law School grads and said they should be banned from her courtroom because “they’re all liars and lack integrity.”

The DOJ asked that “appropriate action be taken to address” the violations and requested an investigation.

Promises made, promises kept. Our new Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that she has the Epstein files on her desk.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

Buckle up, America, because the reckoning liberals have dreaded for years might finally be upon us.

In July 2022, Gateway Pundit lawyers Marc Randazza and Jay Wolman of the Randazza Legal Group, along with GP General Counsel John Burns, filed a motion to intervene in the Guiffre v. Maxwell case in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

In August 2022, the federal judge overseeing the case denied Gateway Pundit’s efforts to unseal the documents.

HOWEVER, Gateway Pundit filed an appeal to the federal Second Circuit Court of Appeals, demanding that GP and the public be allowed to access the Epstein Sex Client list.

On February 27, 2023, a “John Doe” interested party (a person whose identity had been sealed by the court because of their affiliation with Epstein) filed a Brief opposing Gateway Pundit’s appeal and asking the Court of Appeals to deny the brief.

The “John Doe”’s arguments are extremely lame. “Doe” merely argues that Gateway Pundit waited too long to request the arguments. According to “Doe,” GP and the public have no interest in the Epstein sex client list because too much time has transpired.

Now, under the directive of President Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi has confirmed that her office is actively reviewing Epstein-related documents—alongside classified files on JFK and MLK.

“It’s sitting on my desk right now to review,” Bondi said during a Fox News interview.

“That’s been a directive by President Trump. I’m reviewing that. I’m reviewing JFK files, MLK files. That’s all in the process of being reviewed because that was done at the directive of the President from all of these agencies.”

Wild how all it took was a president that cares about restoring transparency to our government. Promises made, promises kept.

On Friday, Kash Patel was sworn in as the ninth Director of the FBI by Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Patel was confirmed by the Senate on Thursday in a close vote after RINO Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski joined the Democrats in opposing his nomination.

The final vote tally was 51-49.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Patel spoke out after the confirmation vote, vowing to end the weaponization and politicization of justice and “rebuild an FBI the American people can be proud of.” He further put “those who seek to harm Americans” on notice, warning that “We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet.”

Kash Patel Issues Fiery Statement with a Dire Warning to America’s Enemies After Being Confirmed as FBI Director

Patel spoke out again during his swearing-in ceremony, vowing that "There will be accountability within the FBI and outside of the FBI, and we will do it through rigorous constitutional oversight starting this weekend."

He then highlighted the  warned the staggering crime statistics, including "100,000 people last year raped, 100,000 people died of CCP fentanyl overdose and heroine, 17,000 homicides." He added, " That cannot be allowed to continue, and it will not be allowed to continue."

He further put enemies on notice again, stating, "If you seek to hide in any corner of this country or any corner of this planet, we will put on the world's largest manhunt, and we will find you, and we will decide your end state, not you." He also subtly warned corrupt politicians and deep state bureaucrats, saying, "There's a singular system of justice for all Americans, and there will be accountability."

Patel also taunted the media, daring them to "bring it on" with their fake news smears and attacks on him, " but leave the men and women at the FBI out of it. They deserve better," he said.

WATCH:

Patel: To the Senators and the men and women of the United States House of Representatives, you placed an enormous trust in me, an enormous leap of faith, one that I didn't know that I could possibly earn back, but I'm going to spend every single day on this job doing so. The fact that you placed the confidence you did in me has inspired me to reach new heights at this job. I promise you the following: There will be accountability within the FBI and outside of the FBI, and we will do it through rigorous constitutional oversight starting this weekend.

I know the media's in here, and if you have a target, that target's right here. It's not the men and women at the FBI. You've written everything you possibly can about me that's fake, malicious, slanderous, and defamatory. Keep it coming, bring it on, but leave the men and women at the FBI out of it. They deserve better.

And for those of you who think that there's going to be a two-tiered system of justice, not with Attorney General Bondi. There's a singular system of justice for all Americans, and there will be accountability. And the reason that this mission is so important is simply the following: 100,000 people last year raped, 100,000 people died of CCP fentanyl overdose and heroine, 17,000 homicides. Violent crime is out of control. We cannot have a United States of America where that is acceptable, where someone dies every 30 minutes or someone OD's every seven, or someone's raped every six. That cannot be allowed to continue, and it will not be allowed to continue.

Our national security mission is equally as important. Anyone that wishes to do harm to our way of life and our citizens here or abroad will face the full wrath of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. And if you seek to hide in any corner of this country or any corner of this planet, we will put on the world's largest manhunt, and we will find you, and we will decide your end state, not you. We will uphold the Constitution. We will uphold ourselves to the Constitution. The men and women at the FBI, I have your back because you have the backs of the American people. You will be held to the same high standard. Any deviation from that standard will not be tolerated at this Federal Bureau of Investigation. The men and women at the FBI who make us safe deserve better, and they are going to get it with our leadership and your support. God bless America, and God bless every single one of you. I love this country.
