Postmaster General Louis DeJoy will step down after five years on the job.

Recall that in December, Louis DeJoy was grilled during a congressional hearing about his failures.

Lawmakers accuses Louis DeJoy of bankrupting the USPS. He covered his ears as representatives blamed him for the fall of the postal service.

Louis DeJoy announced his intention to step down on Monday and asked the Postal Service Board of Governors to replace him.

AP reported:

Louis DeJoy, the head of the U.S. Postal Service, intends to step down, the federal agency said Tuesday, after a nearly five-year tenure marked by the coronavirus pandemic, surges in mail-in election ballots and efforts to stem losses through cost and service cuts.

In a Monday letter, Postmaster General DeJoy asked the Postal Service Board of Governors to begin looking for his successor.

“As you know, I have worked tirelessly to lead the 640,000 men and women of the Postal Service in accomplishing an extraordinary transformation,” he wrote. “We have served the American people through an unprecedented pandemic and through a period of high inflation and sensationalized politics.”

The postmaster general is the second-highest-paid federal employee. According to public records, in 2024, Dejoy’s reported pay was $341,020.

Openpayrolls reports, “This is 342.2 percent higher than the average pay for federal agency employees and 375.3 percent higher than the national average for government employees.”

President Trump fired all remaining Biden-appointed US Attorneys on Tuesday.

“Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining “Biden Era” U.S. Attorneys. We must “clean house” IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System – THAT BEGINS TODAY!”

Some of the Biden-era US Attorneys resigned in a timely manner after Trump was sworn into office, but others have overstayed their welcome.

President Trump fired approximately a dozen Biden-appointed US Attorneys last week.

“A source familiar with the matter told NBC News that one of the fired U.S. attorneys received a letter from Trent Morse, the deputy director of the Office of Presidential Personnel, that read: “At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as U.S. Attorney is terminated, effective immediately.”” NBC News reported last week.

President Trump is beginning to nominate his own US Attorneys.

On Monday President Trump announced he is nominating Ed Martin (current Acting DC US Attorney) for the full and permanent term of US Attorney for the District of Columbia.

“Ed has led a distinguished career of service, including as Human Rights Office Director for the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis, where he supervised legal clinics for low-income residents. He later worked as judicial clerk to Judge Pasco M. Bowman, II, of the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals, and launched his own successful Law practice. He has also invested his expertise in other roles, but always with the same goal, of serving his community, and creating a brighter future for all,” Trump said on Truth Social on Monday.

“Since Inauguration Day, Ed has been doing a great job as Interim U.S. Attorney, fighting tirelessly to restore Law and Order, and make our Nation’s Capital Safe and Beautiful Again. He will get the job done,” Trump said.

88-year-old Pope Francis continues his stay in the Hospital, and the health update is concerning, as it becomes known that he now has the onset of double pneumonia.

This requires a more complex treatment and ramps up worries about the deterioration of his fragile health.

Reuters reported:

“Francis has been suffering from a respiratory infection for more than a week and was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14.

The Vatican said in a statement that the pope had undergone a chest CAT scan on Tuesday afternoon which had revealed ‘the onset of bilateral pneumonia that requires further pharmacological therapy’.”

Bilateral (or double) pneumonia is a serious infection. It can inflame and scar both lungs, and has the impact of making breathing more difficult.

‘Laboratory tests, chest X-ray, and the clinical condition of the Holy Father continue to present a complex picture’, the Vatican said. It reiterated that the pope was suffering from a ‘polymicrobial infection’, saying this required corticosteroid and antibiotic therapy, which was ‘making treatment more challenging’.

‘Nevertheless, Pope Francis remains in good spirits’, the Vatican statement added.”

As a young adult, back in Argentina, Francis developed pleurisy, and doctors had to remove part of one of his lungs.

Vatican sources say that the pontiff is not on a ventilator and is breathing on his own.

All public engagements for the 2025 Catholic Jubilee (Holy Year) on the pope’s calendar have been cancelled through Sunday.

In the meantime, some nasty MSM news sites have started speculating on his death, trying to guess the ‘day after’.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller put on a masterclass performance on Tuesday, completely schooling a seemingly unprepared CNN news anchor while laughing at her.

Miller appeared as a guest on CNN News Central with liberal anchor Brianna Keilar to discuss the recent action DOGE has taken to downsize the federal government to the chagrin of corporate media ‘reporters’ and Democrats across the country.

Despite having a golden opportunity to ask pointed inquiries to help educate viewers on this important initiative, she acted like a small child throughout most of the interview instead.

“Stephen, thank you so much for joining us,” Keilar begins before asking her first stupid question. “Who is in charge of DOGE?”

Miller could not hold back his laughter when he pointed out the obvious: Trump is in charge of DOGE. After all, he ordered its creation.

Still befuddled, Keilar again asked for more detail as if Miller’s answer was not already obvious.

“He’s the administrator of DOGE?” she inquired.

Miller then explained to Keilar how the initiative worked like she was a fifth-grader. Notice how he struggles to hold back laughter.

“No, DOGE is what was formally US digital services. It’s an agency in the federal government that reports to the Executive Office of the President, which reports to the President of the United States,” he replied.

“A president wins an election and appoints staff…and those staff report to him.”

Keilar then played a clip of Musk in the White House last week explaining how transparent DOGE is to all Americans. She followed by asking another childlike question.

“Does Elon Musk know he is not in charge of DOGE?” she queried.

Miller again explained how the executive branch operated before Keilar interrupted him. She then demanded to know who was making the decisions to hire and fire federal employees, specifically citing ones from the Department of Energy. The DOE is seeking to rehire some of these folks.

Miller again pointed out the obvious: Energy Secretary Chris Wright because that’s his department.

After Keilar tried to smear the Trump administration by trying to get Miller to admit they made a mistake, he responded by roasting her while laughing.

“I understand that even a temporary interruption in federal employment is a great crisis,” he replied. “A catastrophe for you and for CNN.”

“You want to have a conversation about transparency? Let me ask you a question: Do you have any idea where the $22 billion the Health and Human Services provided to illegal aliens under Joe Biden is right now?” Miller added. “That’s 22 billion with a B.”

“That’s enough to provide a house to every homeless veteran in America…Where is it? You don’t know….Joe Biden just spent it and now it’s GONE.”
