Trans activists stormed the Iowa Capitol building on Thursday in protest of legislation that recognizes that there are only two genders.

The Des Moines Register reports that over 2,500 people filled the Capitol, chanting and holding signs that called for lawmakers to reject a bill they claim will infringe on their civil rights.

Protesters chanted slogans including “Trans rights are human rights,” “We’re here, we’re queer, we will not disappear” and “No hate in our state.”

The bill would redefine “sex” and “gender” in Iowa law and eliminate the option for transgender individuals to update the sex on their birth certificate, even after undergoing sex-change surgery or related medical treatments.

As lawmakers voted on the measure, a spectator from the gallery shouted, “Hope you’re proud of yourself,” while another shouted, “Fascist scumbags, eat sh*t!”

Danny Carroll of the Christian organization The Family Leader told The Iowa Capital Dispatch that the measure was necessary due to the “unintended consequences” of adding gender identity to the state’s civil rights code in 2007.

He pointed to court rulings that overturned a state law barring Medicaid coverage for gender-confirmation surgery and allowed transgender women access to women’s shelters and correctional facilities.

“They probably did not anticipate the legal complaints that would be filed against businesses because they believe sex is limited to a man and a woman and they act accordingly,” Carroll said.

”There’s still many rights that are retained, all the rights and freedoms that we’ve already had.”

The legislation is expected to easily pass the Iowa House and Senate and will consequently be sent to the desk of Gov. Kim Reynolds for signing.

The 911 call made by a maintenance worker after discovering the dead body of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, has been released.

The unmanned worker can be heard in the audio, saying, “Found two or one deceased person[s] inside a house.”

Per TMZ:

Gene Hackman and his wife were inside their home, not moving … and the sight of them got the 911 caller very emotional, TMZ has learned.

We’ve obtained the audio of the 911 call that led to police discovering the bodies of Hackman and Betsy Arakawa … and, an unnamed caretaker of the area can be heard frantically pleading for the dispatcher to send someone to the house.

The call starts with the caretaker, whose name is redacted, saying he believes they’ve just stumbled across one or two dead bodies — he seems unsure at the time of the call — and they need immediate assistance.

While the dispatcher puts out a call for the paramedics, the caller repeatedly says “Damn” into the phone while sniffling away tears.

On Thursday afternoon, New Mexico authorities officially labeled Hackman and his wife’s death as suspicious.

President Trump welcomed British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to the White House on Thursday.

President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Prime Minister Keir Starmer met in the Oval Office to discuss a potential peace deal between Russia and Ukraine and the future of NATO.

At one point JD Vance called out Starmer to his face for infringements on free speech.

“I said what I said,” JD Vance said during the Oval Office meeting.

“We know that there have been infringements on free speech that actually affect not just the British, of course what the British do in their own country is up to them can but also affect American technology companies and by extension American citizens,” Vance said.

“So that is something that we’ll talk about today at lunch.”

Newly released dashcam footage reveals the fatal police shooting of 42-year-old Matthew Huttle, a recently pardoned participant in the Capitol event.

The incident occurred on January 26, 2025, in Jasper County, Indiana, just days after President Donald Trump issued a blanket pardon to over 1,500 individuals involved in the 2021 protest.

It can be recalled that Investigative journalist Yehuda Miller and The Gateway Pundit reached out to Jasper County Sheriff Williamson following the news of the deadly shooting. We FOIAed video of the incident from the police cameras.

Sheriff Williamson told us that because this was an open investigation, he would not release the footage!

The video will only be released when the investigation is completed.

The footage, made public by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, begins with a deputy initiating a traffic stop on Huttle’s gold minivan for speeding—70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Upon approach, Huttle immediately identifies himself as a January 6 defendant awaiting a pardon.

Visibly distressed, Huttle pleads, “I can’t go to jail,” before abruptly attempting to re-enter his vehicle, according to Indy Star.

A struggle ensues, during which Huttle declares, “I’m shooting myself.” The deputy, perceiving an imminent threat, discharges his firearm, fatally wounding Huttle.

Huttle then tells the deputy, unprompted, “I just want you to know I’m a January 6 defendant.”

“What do you mean?” the deputy asks.

“I stormed the Capitol,” Huttle says.

“Really?”

“Am I under arrest or anything?” Huttle asks.

After Huttle joins the deputy at the back of the van, the law enforcement officer explains that Huttle is a habitual offender. He gives Huttle a verbal warning for the speeding, but due to the felony status of being a habitual offender, the deputy says he has to take Huttle into custody.

“Today, you are going to come with me,” the deputy says.

“I can’t, I can’t,” Huttle responds.

“You’re going to have to,” the deputy tells him.

“I can’t go to jail for this, sir.”

“Don’t you do it, buddy!” the deputy says while chasing after him.

Huttle jumps into the driver’s seat and the two struggle, but the body camera footage is blurred and little can be made out.

“I’m shooting myself,” Huttle can be heard saying.

“No, no, no, no,” the deputy says.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded 9 mm handgun and a substantial amount of ammunition. The Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office has deemed the deputy’s use of deadly force legally justified.

At no time did Matt threaten the officer’s life, only his own. Now sadly, the sheriff deputy who shot Matthew has a wife and three kids. Nobody wins – PTSD Part of the bigger conversation we need to have about weaponized justice, and fix these problems for everyone.

The View may soon have to issue another legal note or face a lawsuit from the world’s richest man following a vicious lie by leftist co-host Joy Behar.

While discussing DOGE, the infamous talking head decided to mock Elon Musk’s immigrant heritage during a vile tirade. She first attempted to smear Musk as a racist, claiming that he was pro-apartheid.

Musk was a vociferous opponent of apartheid in South Africa and attended multiple apartheid rallies. Moreover, the evil regime Musk grew up in taught him not to discriminate against his fellow man, according to his father.

But these facts did not matter to Behar.

“And he (Trump) can take a nap while the guy who was not born in this country…was born under Apartheid in South Africa; has that mentality…He was pro-Apartheid, as I understand it,” she asserted.

After ‘Republican’ co-host Alyssa Farah informed Behar that Musk was a naturalized citizen, she retorted, ‘Oh really? Did he come over the border legally…He flew in!”

“I think this just perfectly wonderful for Trump,” she added. “He can take a nap and let this foreigner, foreign agent, enemy of the United States, do his job.”

Later in the show, Behar noted she was getting backlash and tried to weasel her way out of her slander of Musk.

“I said that Musk was pro-Apartheid, I don’t really know for sure if he was,” she said. “He grew up at that time before the great Nelson Mandela fixed that.”

Behar then begged Musk not to file a lawsuit against her, apparently fearing an ABC News/ George Stephanopoulos-type consequence.

“So don’t be suing me, okay, Elon?” she added.
