U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) announced his candidacy for governor of Florida in 2026 during a Fox News appearance Tuesday night. 

“We’re going to continue being the freeest state and the best state moving forward,” he said.

Due to term limits in Florida, Ron DeSantis is not eligible for reelection, and Byron Donalds was the first to officially announce his bid for the Republican primary.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump made an early endorsement for Donalds in the state’s 2026 gubernatorial race last week.

The endorsement came amid speculation about other potential candidates for the Republican nomination. Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis has been mentioned as a possible contender.

During a news conference in Tampa Bay Monday, DeSantis was asked about President Trump’s endorsement of Donalds for governor.

DeSantis responded, “We’ve achieved victories in Florida. We need to start achieving those victories up there.”

He added, “You got a guy like Byron — he just hasn’t been a part of any of the victories that we’ve had here over the left these last years.”

DeSantis then teased the idea of his wife running for governor, saying, “I won by the biggest margin that any Republican has ever won a governor’s race here in Florida. She [Casey] would do better than me.”

Donalds responded to rumors of Casey DeSantis jumping into the race by saying, "It's still early," and noting he's "excited to have the full endorsement of President Trump." He added, "[Trump] has a lot of faith in me."

Among his priorities are to "turn Florida into the financial hub of the world" and "become the most business-friendly state in our country," he said. Donalds also spoke about a plan to "take the lead on cryptocurrency and digital assets," potentially "having crypto be a part of the state's financial portfolio."

Ron DeSantis has done a tremendous job for our state, but now the job is to keep the best state in the country as the best state in the country. And so, that's going to be the mission at hand, and I'm excited to announce my candidacy with you tonight.

Disney’s remake of ‘Snow White’ is a doomed film, mostly due to the film’s star Rachel Zegler, who has spent the last two years shooting off her mouth in ways that have completely turned off potential audience members.

In 2023, Zegler trashed the original film and its fans. Last August, Zegler took to social media and made comments about a ‘free Palestine.’ In November, the seemingly dense actress insulted Trump voters, and then tried to walk back her comments but the damage was done.

Now the film is set to open in March and Zegler is back in the news, trying to soften her image. This was most likely a tactical move by Disney to do some damage control before the movie hits theaters.

“Snow White” star Rachel Zegler says the backlash against Disney‘s latest live-action remake is due to “passion” for the original film.

While Disney’s live-action re-releases have seen better days since 2019’s “The Lion King,” the “Snow White” rehash has been a particular point of contention in some circles due to Zegler’s Columbian heritage. The outrage came to a head when the “Y2K” star called the 1937 original “dated,” featuring a prince that “literally stalks” Snow White. Zegler now says she interprets the controversies as an overprotective reaction to a beloved Disney classic.

“I interpret people’s sentiments towards this film as passion,” Zegler told Vogue Mexico. “What an honor to be a part of something that people feel so passionately about. We’re not always going to agree with everyone who surrounds us and all we can do is our best.”

She continued, “I understand that the conversation comes from the community not wanting to be seen as a monolith, but the reality of being Latino and working in this industry is that we try to represent the entire diaspora. I know where I’ve been, I represent it in my narrative, and I carry it in my heart every day. No one can ever tell me that it’s not a part of me.”

This movie is going to bomb and there is nothing Disney or the star of the movie can do to change that.

Studios need to start requiring media and social media silence from their stars, or make their woke actors suffer financial losses if they cause problems that threaten to tank a movie like this. This will keep happening unless they make some broad changes.

The Democrat party has a serious problem.

Not only are they wandering in the political wilderness and seemingly unable to find a coherent message, they are having trouble raising money from their own donor base. Instead of trying to find a way to connect with the American people, they just keep screaming into the wind about how much they hate Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE.

Their donors have had it and are punishing the party by shutting off the cash flow. If there is one thing that frightens Democrats, it’s this.

Democrats are anxious to rebuild their party on the heels of President Trump’s victory in November. But they have a major problem as they try to refashion their brand: The money isn’t there.

Democratic donors — from bundlers to small dollar donors — say they are still angry about the election results and uninspired by anything their side has put forward since then.

“I’ll be blunt here: The Democratic Party is f‑‑‑ing terrible. Plain and simple,” one major Democratic donor said. “In fact, it doesn’t get much worse.”

A second donor was equally as pointed. “They want us to spend money, and for what? For no message, no organization, no forward thinking. … The thing that’s clear to a lot of us is that the party never really learned its lesson in 2016. They worked off the same playbook and the same ineffective strategies and to what end?”

These donors are correct. The Democrats have nothing to offer but rage.

Daily Show Host Jon Stewart horrified his audience after cutting his hand during his opening monologue.

Stewart cut his hand after smashing his coffee mug on his desk while ranting about the Department of Government Efficiency.

After realizing he cut his hand, he shared, “I might be going to the hospital soon.”

He later added, “I’m fine!”

Stewart smashed his mug after suggesting DOGE should cut subsidies if they wanted to cut spending.

Jon Stewart shocked his Daily Show audience on Monday when he cut his hand on a broken mug and continued delivering the monologue while bleeding.

Stewart cut his hand when he smashed a mug while speaking about the prescription drug prices. He moved the hand under the desk after looking at it and said “I might be going to the hospital soon.”

A few minutes later, guests caught a glimpse of the blood when he moved his fingers above the desk. As the audience gasped, he said: “I’m fine!”

The lively moment was part of a longer segment about Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency department, which Stewart mocked by offering his own suggestions on how to cut spending. “How about we just take the $3 billion in subsidies we give to oil and gas companies that already turned billions in profits?” he said to cheers.

In recent months, many Democrats have advocated for Stewart to run for President in 2028.

A petition on Change.org has already collected nearly one thousand signatures calling for the liberal talk show host to run.
