Saturday evening – on the heels of a majestic speech at CPAC – President Trump regaled all United States Governors at the National Governors Association Dinner with music from Les Miserables, the renowned opera portraying the French Revolution.

President Trump’s assignment of a military choir to perform “Do You Hear The People Sing?” served as a callback to his 2024 presidential campaign launch, when Trump and the First Lady entered with the same song playing at Mar-a-Lago on November 15, 2022.

President Trump is known for his highly intentional musical selections, earning him the nickname “The Maestro” among certain supporters and staff. His musical nods regarding Les Miserables signal the People’s hunger for justice to be served unto the political elite.

President Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, dubbed “the most powerful man in politics,” posted his video of a U.S. Military choir performing a deeply rousing medley of “Do You Hear the People Sing?” and “One Day More” for U.S. Governors.

In a season when Trump’s all-star cabinet is largely confirmed to administer justice, this military performance of revolutionary music brought President Trump’s campaign message full circle.

President Trump recieved a raucous standing ovation from the U. S. Governors when he first took to the podium. The president spoke in good cheer, by candelight, at the black tie event.

“I missed you for four years, very badly. That was a long journey back, Melania, wasn’t it? That was a long, tough, nasty journey. Don’t ever try it. But it was unique,” President Trump said.

“By special coincidence, today marks the 293rd birthday of George Washington. The father of our country was unmatched as a general; he was also a great executive, and a true statesman. By force of will and determination, he was also the ultimate national unifier…

“And together, we are going to be one united nation again. This is going to be the evening we start uniting. We are going to hold each other close and we are going to fight for our country,” President Trump said.

Trump exchanged friendly banter with Governor Ron DeSantis, complimented the talents of many Democrat governors, and reminded all governors to call the president whenever they need help.

“I have a tremendous respect for the burdens you bear,” President Trump said.

President Trump jovially invited all governors to join him on a tour of the exclusive Lincoln Bedroom – which he called the most important room in the country – and he left the microphone hot for any governor who wanted to speak.

Recently, President Trump declared at his Second Inaugural Address that his “proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and a unifier.”

As President Trump spearheads a national mission to restore high culture and art in American society – chairing the Kennedy Center Board and embracing patriotic artists – the Governors Dinner indicated that a strong message of unity will sustain these efforts.

In the pertinent words of the U. S. Military choir performing Les Miserables:

“Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!”
“There is a new world to be won!
Tomorrow is the judgement day
Tomorrow we’ll discover

An initial discussion took place in Saudi Arabia on February 18th between the American team and the Russian envoys, who will eventually be discussing peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. 

The American delegation was composed of National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff.  The Russian Team consisted of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.

Four key points were derived from the meeting.  First, the countries will fully staff their embassies, under resourced by years of expulsions directed by both sides.

Second, each side will appoint a high-level team to conduct the multi-party talks between Ukraine and Russia to be overseen by the U.S.

Fourth, the five personnel in attendance made a commitment to ensuring the proceedings move forward in a timely manner.

However, it was the third point that perhaps was the most important but most overlooked by legacy media, who were in a total meltdown that “negotiations” were undertaken without Ukraine present.

Newsflash: If the legacy media did its work and read the official releases from the meeting they would realize that this meeting was not really about Ukraine, this meeting was really the first step to creating a historic rapprochement between Russia and America.  In other words, this meeting was an attempt to set a pathway for peeling Russia away from their Chinese overseer.

1972 all over again, this time an attempt to strip off Russia from China?

The third point of the Russia – U.S. meeting outcome buried the lead.  The actual maneuver in this meeting was not to cut out Zelensky, but it seems it was to discuss a post-Ukraine environment where the U.S. and Russia could establish a new relationship and cut out China.

In 1972, President Nixon took a big gamble and risk.  Informed and championed by Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, now seen as a Globalist, not an anti-Communist hawk, President Nixon saw an opportunity to throw the Cold War a curve ball by peeling off Communist China from the Soviet-led Communist sphere.

It did not turn out well in the long run, but at the time, there was some logic to this maneuver.  The Nixon Administration was aware of two key situations.  First, the Soviet Union and China nearly came to a nuclear exchange over their their 1969 border conflict.  Second, the Corona Spy Satellite Program revealed that the United States had a significant nuclear advantage over the Soviets.

The 1972 foray by President Nixon to China was an attempt to create an end around the standoff with the Soviets by taking advantage of a perceived fissure between the two largest Communist nations.  Nixon and Kissinger were convinced they could leverage China as a counterforce to the Soviet Union by exploiting the hostility between the two Communist countries.  In hindsight, Nixon and Kissinger misunderstood China.

At the time, China was a North Korea-like Hermit Kingdom on a larger scale, terrified by the specter of Chang Kai-shek conducting a landing to re-take the mainland while China experienced constant CIA sponsored spy flights.  China was also reeling from the mass starvation and bloodshed of the Cultural Revolution.  If the Americans were willing to turn the other way while Chang Kai-shek was thrown out of the United Nations and Communist China received its coveted Permanent Seat on the Security Council – the People’s Republic of China was happy to feign ping-pong diplomacy.

Re-setting the Russia-America relationship destroyed by Secretary Madeline Albright

The real supervillain in this story points toward President Clinton’s Secretary of State, Madeline Albright.  In the 1990s, the Russians were on their knees in almost total collapse.  Instead of taking this opportunity to implement an historic rapprochement and establish a mutually beneficial relationship, Madeline Albright instead chose to step forward and bravely kick the Russians in the teeth.  Albright had a strong contempt and vitriol for Russia and Putin – even when they were in abject disarray.

Haiti and the early days of NGO money laundering distracted Albright.  She could direct the downsizing of the U.S. Military into United Nation’s, Blue Helmet-like, peacekeeping operations, keep her boot on the neck of Putin, and help the Clintons master the art of NGO money laundering.  Putin was and still has a thuggish KGB outlook and an unshakeable paranoia of palace intrigue, but Albright’s elbow to the throat only validated his worldview.  A tragedy and lost opportunity for all.  The pathway was set to the Deep State, synched with the Globalist world view, which hedged its bet on a “capitalistic” China that would conform to the West.

President Zelensky gets in social media spat with President Trump, then backpedals

President Zelensky of Ukraine chose to get into a verbal spat with President Trump over impending multi-party talks.  “We cannot accept it, as an independent country,” President Zelensky said, referring to the perceived topics of the meeting going on between Russia and the United States in Saudi Arabia.

Zelensky, perhaps, said this before he read the statements on what Russia and the United States had really discussed.  Vice-President Vance chided back and said it was not wise to get involved in such discourse and “bad mouthing” of President Trump.  Such exchanges normally end in another mark in the win column for President Trump.

One of the negotiation points raised by President Trump was a deal for American access to minerals and rare earth metals in Ukraine.  After immense blood and treasure was spent in Afghanistan and Iraq with zero return for America, it was insulting to see third countries like China step in and receive contracts for infrastructure and energy development.

America receiving something in return for becoming involved in negotiations is a reasonable part of an America First strategy.  Zelensky pushed back on a better deal for Ukraine but then offered to resign if certain conditions were met.  In the art of the deal, Zelensky is giving away leverage before the real negotiations have begun.

President Trump weighed on MSNBC’s Joy Reid’s misfortune in an explosive statement Sunday night that took no prisoners.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Reid’s show The ReidOut will air its final episode this week. It will be replaced with a program led by three anchors: Symone Sanders Townsend, a political commentator and former Democratic strategist; Michael Steele, a former chairman of the Republican National Committee; and TV journalist Alicia Menendez.

TGP’s Cassandra MacDonald then reported the new president of MSNBC, Rebecca Kutler, held an unplanned virtual meeting with Joy Reid’s staff after the show’s cancellation was leaked to the media.

Adding insult to injury, an audio recording of the meeting about the leak was subsequently leaked to the media.

Trump roasted Reid in an explosive statement late Sunday night on Truth Social, calling her a “mentally obnoxious racist” and “one of the least talented people in television.”

He also tore into Comcast’s chairman, Brian Roberts.

“Lowlife Chairman of “Concast,” Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been “canned” long ago, along with everyone else who works there.”

“Also thrown out was Alex Wagner, the sub on the seriously failing Rachel Maddow show,” the 47th president added. “Rachel rarely shows up because she knows there’s nobody watching, and she also knows that she’s got less television persona than virtually anyone on television except, perhaps, Joy Reid.”

Trump then targeted notorious race hustler Al Sharpton, suggesting he was blackmailing Roberts so he could stay on the air.

“Then there’s, of course, the LOW IQ Con Man, Al Sharpton, who has, perhaps, the lowest TV ratings in the history of television,” Trump pointed out. “What is he doing to Brian Roberts to stay on the air?”

The commander-in-chief closed by calling fake news an “unpardonable sin” while demanding MSNBC pay restitution to America for the damage they have wrought.

“This whole corrupt operation is nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party,” he wrote. “They should be forced to pay vast sums of money for the damage they’ve done to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!”

Jane Fonda, the aging darling of the radical left, took to the stage at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards on Sunday to accept her Life Achievement Award—and promptly reminded us why she’s better known as “Hanoi Jane.”

The 87-year-old actress used her platform at the 2025 SAG Awards to spew tired leftist talking points, taking thinly veiled shots at President Donald Trump and doubling down on her obsession with “woke” nonsense.

Fonda called on her fellow elites to embrace “empathy”—a word the left has hijacked to justify their destructive policies.

“What we, actors, create is empathy. Our job is to understand another human being so profoundly that we can touch their souls,” said Fonda.

“And make no mistake, empathy is not weak or woke. By the way, woke just means you give a damn about other people,” she added.

Oh really, Jane? Is that what woke means? Because for millions of Americans, “woke” means the destruction of free speech, radical gender ideology, radical climate policies, defunding the police, forced DEI initiatives, illegal immigration & border crisis, and teaching kids to hate America (CRT).

But of course, Fonda thinks she can lecture working-class Americans about “giving a damn.”

During her speech, Fonda made thinly veiled attacks on President Trump and his policies, whining about the supposed pain caused by his administration.

“I’m sure many of you have played bullies and misogynists,” citing Sebastian Stan’s portrayal of the president in The Apprentice Movie as some profound example.

“You can pretty much recognize these types of actors—you know, the ones whose fathers probably bullied them and called men they felt were weak losers or pussies. While you may hate the behavior of your character, you have to understand and empathize with the traumatized person you’re playing, right? Thinking about Sebastian Stan and The Apprentice.”

“Back to empathy. A whole lot of people are going to be really hurt by what is happening, what is coming our way. Even if they’re of a different political persuasion, we need to call upon our empathy and not judge, but listen from our hearts and welcome them into our tent, because we are going to need a big tent to resist successfully what’s coming at us.”

Spare us the theatrics, Jane. The only people who are “hurt” by Trump’s America-first agenda are the corrupt bureaucrats and Hollywood elites who fear losing their grip on power.

As if her speech wasn’t already self-righteous enough, Fonda had the audacity to compare her brand of woke activism to historic social movements like the Civil Rights Movement and the fight against Apartheid.

“Have any of you ever watched a documentary of one of the great social movements, like a Apartheid or our civil rights movement or Stonewall and asked yourself, would you have been brave enough to walk the bridge? Would you have been able to take the hoses and the batons and the dogs? We don’t have to wonder anymore because we are in our documentary moment.”

Let’s be clear: There is zero comparison between what Fonda and her Hollywood cronies do—virtue-signaling from multimillion-dollar mansions—and the true sacrifices made by those who fought for real freedom and justice.
