MSM Finally Reports on General Zaluzhny, the Absolute Favorite to Win Ukrainian Presidential Elections, With MORE THAN DOUBLE the Voter Preference of ‘Dictator’ Zelensky
February 20, 2025

And so, we came to the point where US President Donald J. Trump, on his way to make historical peace with the Russian Federation, had to put Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in his place, and call him a ‘dictator without elections’, a man ruling via martial law – so much for ‘Ze’ being the ‘defender of democracy’.

What Trump knows, and we know – but the mainstream public is only slowly finding out – is that Zelensky needs the war to continue, needs the martial law to continue in power.

Because, if elections are held, he will NOT be reelected.

Now, even the MSM is starting to report on this fact – and what’s more, introducing the general public to a figure about whom we have written quite a bit: General Valery Zaluzhny, the man poised to be the next President of Ukraine, if ever elections are to be held.

Zelensky fired Zaluzhny and ‘exiled’ him as UK ambassador.

Newsweek reported:

“Amid the public fallout, The Economist reported Wednesday that it had obtained internal polling indicating that General Valery Zaluzhny—who was a key figure in the war against Russia—would beat Zelensky should a wartime election be held.

Zaluzhny served as Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces from 2021 to 2024 and now holds the position of ambassador to the United Kingdom. He was dismissed as head of the military on February 8, 2024, and replaced by General Oleksandr Syrsky.”

Tensions between Zaluzhny and Zelensky were public knowledge for months, as they clashed over strategies and the challenge of mass mobilization of troops.

“Zaluzhny’s growing popularity among both the public and the military further fueled speculation that he posed a potential political challenge to Zelensky’s presidency, Ukrainian and Russian media outlets reported.”

Zaluzhny’s dismissal was a very unpopular move by Zelensky, and 72 percent of Ukrainians disagreed with the General’s removal.

It’s relevant to note that, while Zaluzhny has not officially indicated that he will run for office, he has not ruled out the possibility, either.

In the venerated Ukrainian military tradition, Zaluzhny often appeared quite drunk in public.

The General dismissed the question of his political plans as ‘inappropriate’, but hinted that he may take a future decision.

“’The appropriate conditions will come, and then I, as someone serving in a government position, will be able to answer such questions’, he told reporters, Ukrainian online publication Strana reported on Wednesday.

Internal polling obtained by The Economist indicates that while Zelensky remains Ukraine’s most popular politician, he would lose a future election to Zaluzhny by 30 percent to 65 percent, the magazine said.”

Yes you read it right, and Newsweek buried the lead: Zaluzhny has more than double of Zelensky’s vote preferences: 65 to 30.

Now, as Russia does not recognize Zelensky because his mandate has expired, and the US also wants him to hold elections, we may soon be seeing President Zaluzhny on Kiev’s podium.

Federal Court Smacks Down Bishops’ Demand to Force Trump Administration to Fund ‘Refugee’ Settlement

Federal Court Smacks Down Bishops’ Demand to Force Trump Administration to Fund ‘Refugee’ Settlement

A federal judge on Thursday delivered a major blow to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), denying their attempt to force the Trump administration into continuing taxpayer funding for their massive refugee resettlement operations.

Judge Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, rejected the bishops’ request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) that would have forced the administration to immediately restore funding.

The lawsuit, filed by the non-profit organization USCCB in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, challenged the Trump administration’s decision to cut off federal grants that fuel the mass resettlement of migrants across America—programs that have operated for decades with little oversight. The lawsuit names the State Department, the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as defendants.

The decision to halt funding aligns with President Trump’s America First agenda, ensuring that U.S. taxpayer dollars are no longer funneled into organizations facilitating unchecked migration.

At the time of the funding cutoff last month, USCCB was overseeing 6,700 refugees and was seeking reimbursement for $14 million in unpaid expenses. The bishops claim they have since accrued an additional $11 million in costs, bringing their total demand from the government to a staggering $27 million, according to WUSA9.

“For nearly 80 years, the Catholic Church has been caring for refugees within the United States. Refugees face significant challenges upon entering the country, including locating housing, learning English, and finding employment,” according to the complaint.

“The Church has long helped to ease those burdens and integrate refugees into American society by providing shelter, clothing, food, and training.”

Trump administration has urged the court to reject the Catholic Bishops’ request for an emergency injunction, arguing that the funding pause is lawful and necessary to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent in line with foreign policy objectives.

According to the State Department’s legal memorandum:

“Plaintiff fails to demonstrate a likelihood of success on the merits: (1) Plaintiff does not identify an agency action or a final agency action; (2) the State Department has not acted contrary to law; (3) the State Department’s pause in funding is not arbitrary and capricious; and (4) the State Department’s implementation of the Foreign Aid Order is not subject to notice and comment rulemaking procedures.

Second, Plaintiff fails to establish irreparable harm because its alleged harms are monetary. And, third, the balance of harms and the public interest weigh in favor of the President’s ability to implement his agenda consistent with his constitutional and statutory authorities.

Despite the bishops’ dramatic claims, Judge McFadden wasn’t buying it. While acknowledging that the organization might have a case in the long run, he made it clear that it had failed to demonstrate “irreparable harm” necessary for an emergency injunction.

More from WUSA9:

McFadden, a 2017 appointee of President Donald Trump, said during a hearing Thursday USCCB might have the better of the two arguments in the long term. In the short term, though, he said the organization had failed to show it would suffer irreparable harm by having to shoulder the burden of funding its programs until he can rule on a preliminary injunction.

“I don’t think they’ve made out irreparable harm for such an exigent and extraordinary remedy,” McFadden said.

The judge did agree to consider a motion for a preliminary injunction that would restore funding on an expedited basis. He ordered the Trump administration to respond with a briefing by Monday at 4 p.m. He also ordered a decision-maker from the State Department to appear for a mediation hearing with USCCB before a federal magistrate judge next week.

The parties were directed to return on Feb. 28 for a hearing on USCCB’s motion for a preliminary injunction.

Trump 2028? Third Term Project Explores Constitutional Amendment to Allow Trump’s 3rd Term
February 20, 2025

The Third Term Project represents a controversial push to amend the U.S. Constitution’s 22nd Amendment, which currently limits presidents to two terms, to allow President Donald Trump to seek a third term in office.

Spearheaded by figures like Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN), who introduced a resolution in January 2025, the initiative argues that Trump’s leadership is uniquely essential to “reverse the nation’s decay and restore America to greatness.”

The proposed amendment would adjust the Constitution to permit a president to be elected up to three times, provided their prior terms were non-consecutive, a condition tailored to Trump as the only living ex-president with non-consecutive terms.

Despite gaining traction at events like CPAC in February 2025, where groups like Republicans for National Renewal rallied support, the proposal faces steep hurdles: it requires a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate, followed by ratification by 38 states—a near-impossible feat given the current political divide. Critics see it as a partisan stunt, while supporters frame it as a necessary extension of Trump’s agenda, highlighting a deep polarization in American politics.

On Thursday, President Trump called the US National Team before their 4-Nations Championship game tonight against Canada.
What a great leader!

Team USA and Canada will meet once again in the 4 Nations Face-Off final tonight at 8 PM ET.
ESPN will air the game from Boston. Fubo will stream the game.

Here is video from the call earlier today.

The US hockey team defeated Canada on Saturday night, 3-1, in their first match-up.

The first nine seconds of the game saw THREE fights! This was after the Canadian crowd booed Team USA during the US National Anthem.

Over 20,000 Canadian fans at Montreal’s Bell Centre drowned out “The Star-Spangled Banner” with resounding boos before a pivotal match in the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.

This blatant disrespect, with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau present in the crowd, ignited a fierce response from Team USA, ultimately crushing Canada with a resounding 3-1 victory.

The disrespectful jeering began as soon as Warrant Officer David Grenon of the Royal Canadian Air Force commenced singing the U.S. national anthem.

Here’s another video:

Undeterred by the antagonistic atmosphere, the American players channeled the crowd’s negativity into motivation.

The game erupted into physical confrontations immediately after the puck dropped, with three separate fights breaking out within the first nine seconds.

The opening faceoff saw Matthew Tkachuk and Brandon Hagel drop gloves, followed by bouts between Brady Tkachuk and Sam Bennett and then J.T. Miller and Colton Parayko, according to the New York Post.

WATCH:

After an early goal by Canada’s Connor McDavid, the Americans answered with a goal from Jake Guentzel. Dylan Larkin then secured the lead, and Guentzel sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final moments, which secured Team USA’s spot in the championship final.

WATCH:

The political climate between the neighboring nations has grown increasingly tense, especially following President Trump’s remarks suggesting that Canada could benefit from becoming the 51st state of the United States.

Trudeau, whom Trump called as governor, stood in the crowd, witnessing the Canadian team’s humiliating defeat at the hands of the American team.

WATCH:

This incident marked the second consecutive time the American national anthem was met with derision during the tournament.

Earlier in the week, large sections of the crowd booed the anthem ahead of the game against Finland, which the U.S. won 6-1, thanks to a four-goal third period.

More from Global News:

“I didn’t like it, and that’s all I got,” forward Matthew Tkachuk, who finished with two goals and an assist, said of the jeers throughout anthem singer Alexandre Sylvestre’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Fans at NHL games in Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver booed the U.S. anthem in recent weeks after President Donald Trump announced potentially crippling tariffs – a 30-day reprieve was negotiated Feb. 3 – and continues to muse about making the country’s northern neighbour its 51st state.

There were also boos at recent home games of Canada’s lone NBA franchise, the Toronto Raptors.

“That’s really not something that we can control,” U.S. head coach Mike Sullivan added Thursday night. “We just want to play hockey. We want to compete. We want to represent our nation in the right way.”

The Americans were also loudly jeered when they hit the ice ahead of puck drop and again during player introductions. There were no boos during Finland’s anthem.

President Donald Trump delivered a keynote address at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) PRIORITY Summit in Miami Beach

President Trump is set to keynote the Republican Governors Association meeting at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, tonight.

He is expected to tout his accomplishments and the historic pace of his first month in office.

During a press briefing earlier, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was joined by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to speak on the President’s warp-speed success with securing the border, abolishing woke radical left DEI practices, enforcing tariffs, and ensuring international tranquility.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, fireworks erupted in the briefing room when Stephen Miller gave a “civics lesson” to the leftwing fake news media who spent the last four years calling President Trump a threat to democracy and are now attacking Elon Musk his efforts to balance the federal budget with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
