Supreme Court Justice Roberts once again took a veiled shot at Trump and said attacks against judge can lead to violence.

This is the fourth time that Roberts has publicly rebuked Trump in recent months.

Roberts didn’t call out Trump by name but he decried ad hominem attacks against justices.

The Chief Justice made the latest remarks on Saturday during an appearance at a judicial conference.

Politico reported:

Chief Justice John Roberts issued another warning Saturday that heated political rhetoric aimed at judges can spur physical threats and violence.

“If you have somebody who’s expressing a high degree of hostility to the court, on whatever basis … the danger, of course, is somebody might pick up on that. And we have had, of course, serious threats of violence and murder of judges just simply for doing their work,” Roberts said during an appearance at a judicial conference.

He spoke the day after the Supreme Court issued its final opinions of the term, but he did not discuss any of the court’s rulings.

Since President Donald Trump returned to office in January, he has mounted withering attacks on federal judges who have blocked his executive orders and other policies on mass deportation, government funding cuts and ending diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. He has blasted some judges as Communists and even called for their impeachment.

However, speaking to an audience of judges and attorneys, Roberts did not mention Trump by name. And while the chief justice said he’s been prompted to issue public statements against such verbal attacks, he emphasized that he has done so in response to comments from both Republican and Democratic officials.

Last month

Roberts also rebuked President Trump last month during a fireside chat in New York.

Speaking at a fireside chat to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the US District Court for the Western District of New York, Justice Roberts lashed out at Trump for his calls to impeach radical judges.

“Well, I’ve already spoken to that and, you know, impeachment is not how you register disagreement with decisions,” Roberts said in front of hundreds of judges and lawyers.

“The judiciary is a co-equal branch of government, separate from the others, with the authority to interpret the Constitution as law and strike down, obviously, acts of Congress or acts of the president,” he said.

“Its job is to obviously decide cases, but in the course of that, check the excesses of Congress or of the executive, and that does require degree of independence,” Roberts added.

Roberts spoke on the ‘independence’ of the judiciary.

“In our Constitution, judges and the judiciary is a co-equal branch of government, separate from the others with the authority to interpret the Constitution as law and strike down, obviously, acts of Congress or acts of, of the president. and that innovation doesn’t work if it’s not the judiciary is not independent,” Roberts said.

In March Chief Justice Roberts said Trump call for impeaching judges is “not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision.”

“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts said in a rare statement earlier this year.

Protesters gathered in Florida Saturday to denounce the state starting construction this week on a DHS funded project to house illegal aliens at a remote airstrip in the Everglades dubbed, “Alligator Alcatraz,” an aborted airport site built in the 1960s that is usually used for training, formally known as the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced earlier this week the site would largely be funded by FEMA money the Biden administration used to put up illegal aliens in hotels. The site could be ready for the first illegals as early as this Tuesday. Plans are for up to 5,000 to be held there.

Notably, out of respect for Florida’s laws on blocking roads, the protesters did not try to stop the construction vehicles.

Excerpt from AP report on a lawsuit filed by environmental groups on Friday to stop Alligator Alcatraz:

Environmental groups filed a federal lawsuit Friday to block a migrant detention center dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz” now being built on an airstrip in the heart of the Florida Everglades.

The lawsuit seeks to halt the project until it undergoes a stringent environmental review as required by federal and state law. There is also supposed to be a chance for public comment, according to the lawsuit filed in Miami federal court.

Critics have condemned the facility as a cruel and inhumane threat to the ecologically sensitive wetlands, while Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and other state officials have defended it as part of the state’s aggressive push to support President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

The center is set to begin processing people who entered the U.S. illegally as soon as next week, DeSantis said Friday on “Fox and Friends.”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted about her appearance Friday night on Jesse Watters Primetime to talk about Alligator Alcatraz, “Alligator Alcatraz, and other facilities like it, will give us the capability to lock up some of the worst scumbags who entered our country under the previous administration. I will continue to stand alongside our officers as they protect and defend our homeland. Make America Safe.”

Democrats are getting nervous about how the views and policies of the socialist NYC Mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani, may further expose their own radical plans. And they want him to tone it down.

On Thursday, during a heated exchange with WNYC radio host Brian Lehrer, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) called on Mamdani to unequivocally denounce the phrase “globalize the Intifada.”

Gillibrand argued that the phrase is received by the public (correctly) as a call to “slaughter the Jews.”

A caller to the show accused Mamdani of glorifying Hamas and supporting the violent attacks associated with the intifada terrorism campaign Israel faced in the 1990s.

Gillibrand responded to the assertion adding,”The caller is exactly the New York constituents that I’ve spoken to that are alarmed. They are alarmed by past public statements. They are alarmed by past positions, particularly references to global jihad,” she said.

“This is a very serious issue because people that glorify the slaughter of Jews create fear in our communities. The global intifada is a statement that means destroy Israel and kill all the Jews.”

Gillibrand urged Mamdani to assure all New Yorkers that “he will protect all Jews and protect houses of worship and protect funding for not-for-profits that meet the needs of these communities.”

Lehrer took issue with Gillibrand position and her assertion that Mamdani had called for a “global intifada.”

The senator replied, “One of the issues I did talk to him about yesterday was exactly this issue, and he has agreed to work with me on this and to protect all residents.”

Per Fox News:

“On Mamdani, I just feel compelled to say we can find no evidence that he has supported Hamas or has supported violent jihad, as that caller was asserting. Can you?” he questioned.

Gillibrand asserted that while she doesn’t have “all the data and information” in front of her, she did recall Mamdani referencing “global intifada,” and noted that she had requested an in-person meeting with the mayoral hopeful to discuss these issues.

The radio host pushed back on the senator once again, claiming that Mamdani clarified to him on his show on Monday that calls for a global intifada “are not calls for violence because intifada is a much broader term involving all kinds of uprisings and resistance and things like that.”

Brian, I didn’t hear your exchange with him, but if I was speaking to him directly, I would simply say that is not how the words are received,” she countered. “It doesn’t matter what meaning you have in your brain. It is not how the word is received. When you use a word like intifada — to many Jewish Americans and Jewish New Yorkers, that means you are permissive of violence against Jews.”

Earlier in the week, longtime Democrat strategist James Carville reacted to Mamdani’s primary win, calling it a ‘potentially damaging event’ and seemed to lament the fact that Democrats could no longer dodge the socialist label.

‘This is what happens when Cassie said ‘no’ to Diddy’, argued the prosecution. The defense called it a ‘great modern love story’.

The criminal Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial is all but over.

After the final arguments from prosecution and defense, all that’s left in the sex-trafficking trial of the disgraced rap mogul is for the 12 jurors to sit down and deliberate, a process which is set to start on Monday.

Diddy has been in pre-trial detention since his September arrest on charges of ‘sex-trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution’.

He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

On Friday (27), Diddy’s defense told the jury in its final summation that the rapper’s relationship with Cassie Ventura was ‘kind of a great modern love story’.

New York Post reported:

“’They loved. They loved out loud’, defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo told jurors during closing arguments at the bombshell sex-trafficking trial against the rapper — who Ventura said repeatedly forced her to have sex with different men in front of him and who was caught on camera mercilessly beating her.

‘She was always free to leave. She chose to stay because she was in love with him, and he was in love with her’, Agnifilo told the jury in the Manhattan federal courtroom.”

Defense argues Cassie stayed with Diddy for love.

Agnifilo invited jurors to read the ‘beautiful text messages’ between the couple as they broke up in 2018 – and cry.

“’If you want to read some beautiful, beautiful language … read the texts. You’ll cry. You will cry. You’ll read evidence with an exhibit sticker on it, and you will cry’, Agnifilo said.”

This may or may not work with a juror panel who saw multiple times the hotel CCTV footage of Diddy mercilessly beating Cassie as she tried to flee a ‘freak-out’ sex marathon.

“Over the course of the rapper’s seven-week sex-trafficking trial, jurors heard from 34 witnesses including star prosecution witness Ventura, who testified that Combs beat her countless other times and forced her to have degrading sex with male escorts in what he called “freak-offs,” before raping her in 2018 after they broke up.

Prosecutors claim that for two decades, Combs used his company and employees to commit a slew of crimes — most notably forcing Cassie and other women to participate in the ‘freak-offs’, or orchestrated sex-sessions with male prostitutes. “

Diddy has pled not guilty, and his high-octane defense team maintains that the allegedly abused women were willing participants in his ‘swinger’ lifestyle.

The BBC tried to avoid controversy on Saturday by not airing the Glastonbury music festival set of the Irish group Kneecap, which is being investigated in the UK for supporting the Islamist terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah, with one member being charged for waving a Hezbollah flag on stage.

But the Beeb did air the preceding act, Bob Vylan, whose lead singer led the crowd in chants of “Free Palestine” and “Death, Death to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces),” concluding with “Hell yeah, from the river to the sea, Palestine must be, will be, Inshallah (Allah willing), will be free.”

It was less than two years ago that Palestinians from Hamas-controlled Gaza attacked the Nova music festival in Israel, slaughtering, raping and kidnapping attendees as part of a sneak attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 that killed over 1200 Israelis.

Bob Vylan is the name of a punk/rap British duo who describe themselves as “violent punks.” The name is a play on music icon Bob Dylan and the word “villain.” The duo, who perform as “Bobby Vylan” the singer and “Bobbie Vylan” the drummer, released a song several years ago called “I Heard You Want Your Country Back” that mocks white British people as “gammons”, that they performed at Glastonbury on Saturday.

Gammon defined by Wikipedia: “Gammon is a pejorative term popularised in British political culture since the 2010s. The term refers to the colour of a white person’s flushed face, which purportedly resembles the type of pork of the same name.”

It is traditional at the annual Glastonbury festival for attendees to fly the flags of various nations and causes. Note the lack of British flags, but plenty of Palestinian flags in the crowd scenes.

Later during a break between songs, the singer said: ‘We’re seeing some f***ed up things in the world. We’re seeing the UK and the US be complicit in war crimes and genocide happening over there to the Palestinian people.

‘And I know we’re on the BBC, we’re not going to say anything crazy. Leave that for them lads, you know what I mean.

‘But unfortunately we have seen a strange reaction to people that come out and voice support for Palestine. Even though anybody with any moral compass can surely see that what is happening over there in Gaza is a tragedy.

‘We are not pacifist punks here over at Bob Vylan Enterprises. We are the violent punks, because sometimes, you have to get your message across with violence because that is the only language some people speak.’
