The Gateway Pundit reported on an announcement from the Department of Defense that a ship named for gay rights icon Harvey Milk will be renamed.

Milk, a former Navy officer, was one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., serving on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from 1977 until his assassination in 1978.

Underscoring the Navy’s new policy of ending politicizing ship naming, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced the ship will be branded the USNS Oscar V. Peterson to honor the Medal of Honor recipient.

Peterson sacrificed his own life for fellow shipmates and earned the Medal of Honor posthumously.

Secretary of Defense Hegseth sharedm “We are taking the politics out of ship naming.”

“We’re not renaming the ship to anything political. This is not about political activists, unlike the previous administration… People want to be proud of the ship they’re sailing in.”

Peterson earned hero status for his actions in the Battle of the Coral Sea during the Second World War. Although he was gravely wounded, when Japanese dive bombers targeted the USS Neosho in the Pacific, he single-handedly closed the ship’s bulkhead stop valves to keep it operational.

Per the Military Hall of Honor:

Citation: For extraordinary courage and conspicuous heroism above and beyond the call of duty while in charge of a repair party during an attack on the USS Neosho by enemy Japanese aerial forces on 7 May 1942. Lacking assistance because of injuries to the other members of his repair party and severely wounded himself, Peterson, with no concern for his own life, closed the bulkhead stop valves and in so doing received additional burns which resulted in his death. His spirit of self-sacrifice and loyalty, characteristic of a fine seaman, was in keeping with the highest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service. He gallantly gave his life in the service of his country.

“His spirit of self-sacrifice and concern for his fellow crewmates was in keeping with the finest traditions of the Navy,” Hegseth shared.

The University of Pennsylvania, a member of the Ivy League, is offering a three-week, $9,949 “Social Justice Research Academy” summer camp for high school students.

The program, scheduled for July 5–26, 2025, is hosted by Penn’s School of Arts and Sciences and targets students interested in exploring social justice issues.

“The Social Justice Research Academy brings students from around the world together for three weeks to dive deep into the past, present, and future of social justice,” the University of Pennsylvania’s website for the camp explains.

Participants will engage in daily classes and workshops led by Penn faculty, teaching fellows, and guest lecturers, covering topics such as gun control, abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, and historical narratives.

The topics and issues being covered include “a selection of significant historical struggles (the American Revolution, slavery and abolition, suffrage, labor, civil rights) as well as those that define our recent past and present (climate change, immigration and refugee/asylum policy, LGBTQ rights, #BlackLivesMatter, disability studies, faith and social justice, interfaith leadership, intersectionality, affordable housing, prison reform, #MeToo, food deserts, social distancing as a privilege, access to health care, textbooks and curricular biases, anti-racism, anti-Semitism, music and civil rights, international human rights, race and popular culture).”

Tuition covers on-campus housing, meals Monday through Friday, and access to Penn’s academic facilities, but excludes a $100 application fee, travel costs, and personal expenses. Students from Philadelphia public or charter schools may be eligible for scholarships to attend tuition-free. The non-credit program requires a high school transcript, a letter of recommendation, and two 400-word essays for admission.

Other colleges and universities are offering social justice-themed high school programs this summer. A program at Tulane University this month is teaching high schoolers about “queer theory” and “Black feminism.”

Another program beginning next month at Smith College in Massachusetts will explore topics such as “queer love stories” and “reproductive justice.”

“[W]e interrogate the histories of gender in sport and physical education and use critical feminist and queer theories to decipher the ways sport creates, supports, and resists dominant ideologies of inequality,” a description for a course on “Gender in Sport” says.

A Missouri pharmacist suspects the Biden autopen signature is bigger than already reported.

On February 20, 2021 a Missouri pharmacist reached out to The Gateway Pundit and shared his observations on Biden’s signature to date.  (This was only a few weeks after Biden stepped into the White House and no doubt one of the first observations on Joe Biden’s signature on official documents.)

This pharmacist noted:

I am a pharmacist in Missouri. I read a few days ago that none of Biden’s Executive Orders have been posted to the Federal Register, so I looked, then, a few days ago. Those Executive Orders are showing up. However, I believe I have accidentally discovered his signature may be a forgery. I just sat on this discovery, thinking someone else more important would notice it. I guess no one has yet.

Part of my job as a pharmacist is to watch for forged doctor signatures and I am pretty sure Joe’s are forged. I suspect that he is embarrassed by his shaky signature and had his wife sign for his signature stamp used for official business. As you can see on the attachment the last three signatures are identical, indicative of a stamp, and that’s fine as long as it is his signature. Maybe that’s easier to submit to the Federal Register. Otherwise, I believe it is illegal to have someone else sign for a signature stamp that binds a legal document. I have seen the signature of doctors get shaky at the end of their careers, but never change in a single year as Joe’s purportedly has done.

If you have contact with a handwriting expert, perhaps you can have that person take a look. But look at the attachment I created, all from the public domain. Clearly, Joe has an established signature, but the last three signatures I have on the document are from separate Executive Orders that can be found online at the Federal Register. Clearly, in my opinion, they are not his signature. They look more like the signature of his wife, Jill, also on the attachment. Focus on the “B” in Biden. Perhaps an expert can offer a more definitive opinion.

This is Odd: Joe Biden’s Signature on Latest Official Documents Is Raising Eyebrows

This same pharmacist shared some more information regarding Biden’s signature this past week which is shocking.  See highlighted comments below:

I am a retired pharmacist/drug store owner and have spent more than 50 years reviewing handwritten prescriptions in part to insure there are no fraudulent doctor signatures. Now, most prescriptions are digital and the signatures are also digital, but I still gained the ability to recognize authentic, live signatures during my career as a pharmacist. I first noticed the Joe Biden signature at the Federal Register was likely fraudulent in early 2021. I was watching for the first ones to be submitted because I doubted whether or not he was coherent even then. So I did a little research and I concluded Joe Biden has always had a distinctive signature and none of those signed with Autopen are his true signature, I am certain of it.

As background, I have watched doctor signatures progress/digress as they age for many years. In a small town I could recognize the signatures of the doctors and also individual nurse’s working on behalf of doctors. I could tell who specifically signed the prescription, be it the doctor or specific nurse. It’s not uncommon for signatures to change, but usually it is just a matter of getting a little shaky as people age. However, the signatures don’t change in a wholesale manner then revert back at some point, even with dementia, as Biden’s purportedly did. Some doctors develop dementia as well.

I think Jill Biden signed at least one or more of the signatures for the Autopen. You can look at the [TGP] article from 2021 and see her signature along with Joe’s. It appears she stepped in for Joe for some reason and signed for the Autopen. Maybe his signature was shaky, I don’t know, but the Autopen signatures are not his. Concentrate on the “B” in Biden. Joe draws a line then makes more or less a 3 for the rest of the B. Jill starts at the bottom then goes up and makes a small loop at the top and a larger loop below for her B. That “B” is what is on the Autopen signatures. Even the straight line in the “J” for Joe is different from Joe’s established signature as opposed to the Autopen signature. You will see it if you look.

From what I can see, there were 3 separate signatures used with the Joe Biden Autopen during his tenure, but again, none were his established signature. However, the live signature on Joe’s resignation letter on July 21, 2024, when he dropped out of the campaign, is authentic in my opinion. So is his signature on his pardon for Hunter Biden, even though he was shaky with that one and messed up his B, but it is still consistent with his established signature, not Jill’s.

If you will study the information I sent to The Gateway Pundit back in January 2021, [see the link above] you will see what I am talking about.

The concise point here is: it appears Joe Biden had a consistent signature before he was President, then different ones during his presidency, and then reverted back to his original signature when he resigned and signed Hunter’s pardon. That never happens in my experience.

Facsimile laws do not allow for a forged signature to bind a legal document. That is the issue here and while the Autopen alone is a big thing and worth prying into insofar as who was controlling it, the larger issue is it was never legitimate with the signature of Joe Biden, but a forgery.

I know everyone is busy. But if you think about it, a forgery is much worse than a fuzzy authorization for use of the Autopen. The two combined are devastating. I hope you see the distinction. Again, I suggest an established signature expert look at it.

United States Secretary of HHS Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been one of the hardest-working cabinet members appointed to the Trump administration in the last several months.

In his first months in office, Kennedy fired the entire CDC Vaccine Advisory Panel and has worked nonstop to eliminate harmful chemicals from America’s food supply.

While most Americans approve of Kennedy’s efforts, Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Hillary and Bill Clinton, is not happy with Kennedy.

In her recent appearance on the Hysteria podcast, she criticized Kennedy’s latest moves as the U.S. Secretary of HHS.

She stated, “We have a health and human services secretary, RFK Jr, who actively lies about vaccines.”

“Facts don’t matter to him, and certainly public health doesn’t seem to matter to him,” added Clinton.

Cassidy is the chairman of the Senate Health Committee of Physician and claims to be a strong proponent of vaccines but he voted to confirm Kennedy he voted to confirm him anyway now Kennedy promised him he would not disband or remove any of the members turned out to be a lie so on Tuesday Cassidy called for a delay of the meeting until the panel is fully staffed with more robust and balanced representation.

Clinton: I don’t think he has any sense of any responsibility to anyone, again except like his ideological
non-factbased non-evidence-based antivaccine stance which also has also made him a lot of
money. So what he was claiming without evidence that the 17 members of ACIP had you know rife conflicts of interest like what about your conflicts of interest like you have you made a lot of money off of pedalling like you know falsehoods and uh vaccine claims that have been debunked like multiple times and yet he continues to um inject them into the conversation. like even I can’t remember if it was like last night or this morning as long Twitter thread about like vaccines that was once again deeply like populated with either outdated claims you know things that maybe were true like 25 or 30 years ago but are no longer and things that have never been true um but again like facts don’t matter to him and certainly public health um doesn’t seem to matter to him.

While Clinton has run to a podcast to throw shade, RFK Jr. has picked up another victory.

Senator Thom Tillis (RINO-NC) is willing to jeopardize President Trump’s agenda and his own political career in the process.

As TGP readers may know, the Senate is scheduled to vote on a motion to proceed to President Trump’s big, beautiful bill later this afternoon. The legislation accomplishes several critical policies, including making the Trump tax cuts permanent, eliminating taxation on tips and overtime, locking down the border, and taking an axe to Joe Biden’s green energy scam.

However, there are some questions regarding whether the vote will succeed at this point. One key GOP holdout, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, has said he will vote no.

Rand Paul is also very likely a no unless the Senate removes the debt ceiling increase from the bill.

Now, Tillis has knifed Trump in the back. He told Fox News a few minutes ago he will vote no on the motion to proceed.

“I respect their choice,” he said. “It’s not a good impact in my state, so I’m not going to vote on the motion to proceed.”

Tillis, who has warned about the impact of state directed payments to North Carolina, tells me he is a “no” on the motion to proceed.

Tillis is also a no on final passage as well.

The GOP holds a 53-47 majority in the Senate. With Johnson, Paul, and Tillis now all nays, the bill’s motion to proceed will fail should one more Republican come out against it.

All eyes now turn to Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine, the two most liberal RINOs, to save the day for Republicans.

While Collins is reportedly a yes, Murkowski’s position remains unclear.
