Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani — a self-described Democratic Socialist and vocal critic of Israel — has clinched the Democrat nomination for mayor of New York City, defeating none other than the disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo, who was seeking a political comeback after resigning amid sexual misconduct allegations, shockingly conceded before ranked-choice voting had concluded.

Cuomo’s decision comes amid mounting evidence that far-left socialist Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani had surged to an insurmountable lead on first‑choice ballots.

“Tonight is his night. He deserved it. He won,” Cuomo said.

Mamdani ran on a platform that mirrors failed socialist regimes worldwide: free everything, government-controlled services, and punishing private property owners through rent freezes.

But it’s not just his dangerous economic agenda that has people worried — it’s his long history of anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, and anti-American rhetoric that has Jewish leaders urging their communities to leave the city altogether.

“Evacuate NYC immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter,” the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) wrote on X.

The political advocacy group continued:

Tonight, Democrats have once again failed to stand with Jewish Americans—this time in New York City.

Raging antisemite, anti-American, anti-Israel Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani will be a total disaster for Jewish residents. The Trump administration cited Commander-in-Chief powers under Article II, the principle of collective self-defense, and compliance with the War Powers Resolution as the legal basis for the strike. Bush, and Barack Obama, conducted military operations from air campaigns in the Balkans to global drone strikes.

The Obama administration, in particular, offers precedent relevant to Trump’s Iran strike. Obama authorized 542 drone strikes across countries including Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan. The 1973 War Powers Resolution, often criticized as congressional overreach, has been questioned by successive presidents, and the Supreme Court has never ruled definitively on its constitutionality.

Trump’s strikes on Iran addressed legitimate national security concerns and conformed to international legal standards. Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons poses an existential threat not only to Israel but to U.S. forces in the region and the American homeland. While the IAEA has not confirmed Iran’s possession of a nuclear weapon, it continues to report uranium enrichment activities in violation of international agreements. The U.S. strikes targeted military and nuclear infrastructure, not civilians, consistent with the principles of proportionality and military necessity.

Republican leaders have strongly backed the president. House Speaker Mike Johnson noted that Trump “fully respects the Article I power of Congress” and acted in line with “the history and tradition of similar military actions under presidents of both parties.” Senate Majority Leader John Thune likewise confirmed Trump acted within constitutional bounds. The MAGA base sees the operation as consistent with the president’s “peace through strength” doctrine, deterring greater conflict through firm resolve.

With Republicans in control of both houses, efforts to limit presidential authority are unlikely to succeed. While some bipartisan concerns have emerged, they largely reflect isolationist factions in both parties that fail to grasp modern threats. In contrast, overwhelming Republican and expert support underscores the legitimacy of Trump’s action and his appropriate use of constitutional authority.

The strikes represent strong American leadership in confronting international threats before they escalate into wider conflicts. Iran’s likely limited response reflects U.S. resolve and military superiority. Should operations expand, Trump has shown a willingness to work with Congress while retaining the flexibility essential to national security.

The president’s action reinforces America’s global position and deters future aggression. Far from overreach, the strikes exemplify the legitimate use of Commander-in-Chief powers to address serious threats. Critics ignore decades of precedent and fail to present viable alternatives for countering Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The operation eliminated a growing danger and demonstrated leadership that prioritizes American interests.

The President of Spain is in trouble, and it’s not just the opposition asking him to step down—it’s actually his own party. At least 30 of the highest-ranking members of the Socialist Party signed a letter requesting that he resign from his position as Secretary General of the PSOE, which stands for the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party.

To justify this request, they claim he is closely tied to individuals involved in corruption scandals. Although her name is not mentioned, the First Lady—his wife—has been linked to extremely serious corruption cases.

In addition, these 30 members, including senators, state that he has acted against the Constitution. They ask him to resign as the party’s Secretary General in order to restore the dignity of the party.

Calling America “great” is apparently a flagrant foul in the WNBA.

ESPN basketball analyst Rebecca Lobo was essentially forced to eat her words after an off-the-cuff comment led to some awkward seconds of silence during a game between the Indiana Fever and the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday.

Not only did she backtrack on calling her own country “great,” she actually apologized afterward. And the public backlash has been scathing.

As Fox News reported, the embarrassing incident occurred when Lobo took issue with a foul call issued by officials in the closing minute of the contest.

“They disagree with you,” play-by-play caller Pam Ward pointed out.

“They do, and I disagree with them,” Lobo said. “And that’s fine. That’s what makes America great, right, Pam Ward?”

It’s exactly the kind of light-hearted comment sports fans have heard from announcing booths since the birth of radio, generally followed by some generic agreement and maybe a lame joke about disagreeing with a spouse.

What followed, instead, was seven excruciating seconds of silence from the two women.

“I should rephrase that,” Lobo said.

“Yes,” Ward responded.

The audio is a little difficult to make out, but it sounds like Ward then suggested saying “differences of opinion are perfectly fine.”

“Yes, that’s a better way to say it,” Lobo said. “Sorry about that.”

Sorry about that? What, exactly, was Lobo sorry about?

These are two broadcasting professionals in the United States of America, a country that has for more than two centuries been the pinnacle of nations around the world. It was founded on the principles of ordered liberty for individuals, economic freedom and limited government.

It’s spent hundreds of years building on that foundation, gradually correcting the wrongs left over from the Founding days: Destroying slavery (it’s a safe bet both Ward and Lobo have at least heard of the Civil War); expanding the voting franchise (they’re probably familiar with the 19th Amendment); and generally making strides toward a more perfect union that is the envy of the world and a magnet for would-be immigrants from every inhabited continent.

Through victories in World War II and the Cold War, it’s saved the globe twice from totalitarian empires bent on world domination — and the destruction of individual liberty.

And as just the events of the past few days have proven, it remains a bulwark against the threat of murderous terrorist regimes bent on spreading their malicious cancers near and far.

And Lobo is sorry for calling it “great”?

The sports-centric website Outkick reported Monday that it reached out to both Ward and Lobo for comment about the moment but that it had received no response.

But all in all, it was hardly surprising.

Most Americans who are even aware of the WNBA’s existence would probably agree that the league hasn’t exactly covered itself in glory.

Even at its best, women’s basketball is no contest with men’s for the sheer athleticism involved (men’s and and women’s bodies being scientifically different), so it’s a niche market to begin with.

But the WNBA is so blinkered with a woke worldview that it hasn’t even been able to fully capitalize on the God-given gift of a generational talent like Caitlin Clark to stir up public interest without the raw resentment of other players turning Clark into a target.

And ESPN, of course, prostituted its purpose to leftist politics long ago — and far afield from the WNBA, into more popular sports like the NFL and the NBA.

A WNBA color commentator, on ESPN, apparently feeling it necessary to apologize for calling the United States “great” is simply par for the course. The fact that the word is part of President Donald Trump’s trademark platform of “Make America Great Again” no doubt just compounded the reflexively knee-jerk reaction.

It was a moment when ESPN came across more like NPR at its politically censored worst. And the WNBA broadcasters might as well have been the harridans on “The View” at their cattiest.

And it doesn’t get much fouler than that.

President Trump went off on fake news outlets CNN and New York Times after a dubious ‘top secret’ intel assessment about the US’s strikes on Iranian nuclear sites leaked to the media.

“FAKE NEWS CNN, TOGETHER WITH THE FAILING NEW YORK TIMES, HAVE TEAMED UP IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEMEAN ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MILITARY STRIKES IN HISTORY. THE NUCLEAR SITES IN IRAN ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED! BOTH THE TIMES AND CNN ARE GETTING SLAMMED BY THE PUBLIC!” Trump said Tuesday evening on Truth Social.

President Trump on Saturday evening announced that the US had dropped bombs on three nuclear sites in Iran.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump said on Truth Social on Saturday.

On Tuesday, a ‘top secret’ intel assessment of the Fordow plant was leaked to CNN, AP, and the New York Times.

CNN reported that, according to a leak, an early assessment from the Pentagon’s intelligence arm revealed Iran’s nuclear sites are ‘largely intact’ and the US strikes only set them back a few months.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to the leak: “This alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community. The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program. Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration,” Karoline Leavitt said to CNN.
